Building a Business Empire with my Technological System

Chapter 404 Another TakedownTwo weeks had passed since Michael Reyes had delivered his ultimatum to Vista Land, and in that time, the pressure had only intensified. The market had already begun treating Vista Land as a sinking ship, and rumors of internal struggles continued to spread. Investors were wary, project delays were mounting, and Villar’s refusal to sell had not stopped Reyes Corporation from expanding aggressively into his key territories.

Inside Vista Land’s headquarters, Manny Villar sat at the head of a conference table, his senior executives gathered around him. The air was thick with anxiety, and the dimly lit boardroom reflected the somber mood of the company’s leadership.

”We can’t hold out much longer,” his CFO admitted, setting down a stack of reports. ”Liquidity is drying up. Our stock has taken another hit, down 8% this morning alone. Investors are growing restless. If we don’t secure additional funding or sell off assets, we’ll have no choice but to file for restructuring.”@@@@

Villar’s jaw tightened. ”There has to be another way. We can’t let Reyes take what we’ve built.”

One of the senior advisors, a veteran in the real estate sector, cleared his throat. ”Sir, the banks are hesitant to provide any further credit. They see what’s happening and don’t want to extend more risk on a company that’s hemorrhaging cash.”

Villar clenched his fists. ”Reyes planned this from the beginning. He’s not just after a piece of our business—he wants the entire thing.”

His executives remained silent. They all knew it was true.

Across the city at Reyes Corporation, Michael sat in his office, overlooking the skyline as Juliet and Bridget briefed him on the latest developments.

”Villar is in a desperate position,” Juliet began, swiping through the data on her tablet. ”His liquidity issues are worsening. If the stock drops any further, his institutional investors will be forced to step in and either restructure the company or pressure him to sell.”

Bridget added, ”We’ve ramped up our acquisitions in his core territories. New Horizon Developments has now secured over 40% of what were once Vista Land’s most profitable markets. Their loss is our gain.”

Michael leaned back, his expression unreadable. ”And the contractors?”

”More defections,” Juliet confirmed. ”We’ve onboarded another five major firms that were previously aligned with Vista Land. Construction timelines for their remaining projects are practically in limbo.”

Michael nodded. ”Good. It’s time to make the final move. Prepare a revised offer for their landholdings. This time, we’ll make sure they see selling to us as their only option.”

Juliet smirked. ”Villar will resist, but he doesn’t have much choice left.”

Villar scoffed. ”Easy for you to say when you’re the one who engineered this crisis.”

Michael leaned forward, his expression serious. ”Business is about evolution, Manny. The market moves, and those who fail to adapt are left behind. You’ve done well, but it’s time to face reality. If you continue holding out, the losses will only grow.”

Villar’s gaze was sharp, but he knew Michael was right. With a deep breath, he picked up the proposal document. ”You’ll take the landholdings, but I want guarantees for my remaining workforce.”

Michael nodded. ”We’ll absorb key personnel into New Horizon Developments. There’s room for them in a growing company.”

A long silence stretched between them as Villar mulled over his final decision. Then, finally, he let out a resigned sigh and extended his hand.

”Fine. Let’s get it done.”

Michael shook his hand firmly, sealing the deal that would officially mark the end of Vista Land as a major player.

As the final agreements were signed and the media caught wind of the acquisition, Reyes Corporation’s stock surged. The headlines the next morning were clear: Reyes Corporation Completes Landmark Acquisition, Solidifies Position as Real Estate Leader.

At his office, Michael stood by the window, watching the city that now belonged to him. Juliet and Bridget entered, both looking pleased with the final outcome.

”It’s done,” Juliet said. ”Vista Land is officially out of the picture.”

Bridget added, ”And the business world is taking notice. The remaining titans know they’re next.”

Michael smirked. ”Let them worry. We’re just getting started.”

As the sun set over Manila, Michael Reyes knew that this was more than just another victory—it was a statement. The old business order was crumbling, and Reyes Corporation was now the undisputed force shaping the future.

And as for the next target? That was only a matter of time.
