Building a Business Empire with my Technological System

Chapter 255: Browsing the System for New Technology
Michael checked his technological system and went to the system shop tab. There, an array of advanced technology was displayed for him to view.

”Hoh,” Michael mused. So after the entertainment industry, the system now wanted him to join the defense industry. Well, not that he is against it or anything. News about the Philippines and China going to war over the issue of the South China Sea has never been far from reality.

China’s aggressive actions in the region have been escalating, with the Chinese Navy harassing Filipino fishermen, ignoring the arbitral ruling that favors the Philippines, and taking over islands within the Philippine Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).

Now that he has his focus, he opened his System Shop and browsed technology related to aerospace and defense, specifically, missile systems.

Missile Systems:

Advanced Anti-Air Missile System (2039)

Hypersonic Cruise Missile (2048)

Description: A state-of-the-art missile capable of traveling at hypersonic speeds, designed for long-range precision strikes with minimal reaction time for the enemy.

Requirements: Level six in Physics Mastery, Level five in Aeronautics Mastery.

Price: 100,000 System Points.

Why missiles? Well, for starters, the Philippines doesn’t have the infrastructure to build and manufacture its own military hardware, specifically naval warships, combat tanks, or helicopters and jets. Starting with missile systems would allow the country to enhance its defensive capabilities without the need for extensive manufacturing infrastructure.

Michael knew he had to be strategic about his choices. He decided to start with the Advanced Anti-Air Missile System and the Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile. These would provide immediate defensive benefits against both aerial and naval threats.

The system deducted 150,000 System Points from his account, leaving him with 225,000 points.

He’d save those points for now as he planned on acquiring more assets in the future by completing the mission by getting contracts from the military.

This is going to be exhilarating.
