Building a Business Empire with my Technological System

Chapter 237: Showing in Front of the People
VirtuReal Innovations has also posted a message on their social media platforms, calling out Reyes Corporation about the similarities in the design, with a detailed analysis and comparison of their prototype and the Reyes VR system.

The post quickly gained traction, with industry experts and tech enthusiasts sharing and commenting on the detailed analysis. VirtuReal’s followers expressed outrage, demanding answers and transparency from Reyes Corporation.

In the Reyes Corporation headquarters, the atmosphere was tense. Michael’s team gathered in the conference room, waiting for him to address the situation. Juliet, Bridget, Antoneitte, and the rest of the senior staff were already there. All demanded Michael to answer who was sitting at the head of the table.

”How long are you going to remain silent?” Antoinette was the first to speak. ”Is there something you are not telling us? Did you really steal their design, Mr. Reyes?”

It wasn’t usual for Antoinette to address him formally, and whenever she did, he knew she was serious and there was no way around it.

Michael remained silent, staring at the documents in front of him. The room was thick with tension, and everyone was waiting for his response. Bridget, unable to hold back any longer, leaned forward.

”Michael, if there’s any truth to these allegations, you need to tell us now. We can only help you if we know the full story,” Bridget said concernedly. ”If you did use their design, we need to act accordingly and figure out a strategy to deal with this. Keeping silent won’t help anyone.”

Michael finally looked up, meeting Bridget’s eyes. He saw the worry and determination in them. He took a deep breath and decided it was time to come clean.

”I didn’t steal their design,” Michael began. ”There is no truth to their allegations, that I can confidently share with you. Why are we getting worried over them when they don’t even have a working prototype to immerse people in virtual reality?”

Antoneitte interjected, ”Then why are their designs so similar? The similarities are too striking to ignore.”

Michael nodded. ”I understand your concerns. Their design might look similar on paper, but they haven’t brought anything to market. What we have is a fully functional product, and they don’t.”

The room fell silent as Michael began his presentation. The large screen behind him lit up with detailed schematics and comparisons. Michael pointed to the first slide.

”Our VR system is the result of years of dedicated research and development. While there may be some superficial similarities in design, the underlying technology and execution are entirely our own. I want to walk you through the unique aspects of our VR system that set it apart from VirtuReal’s prototype.”

Michael then delved into the technical details, highlighting the proprietary technology and innovations that Reyes Corporation had developed. He explained the distinct differences in the architecture, user interface, and immersive experience that their VR system offered.

”We have taken great care to develop a product that is both groundbreaking and unique. Our system incorporates advanced algorithms, custom hardware, and a user-centric design that ensures an unparalleled virtual reality experience. VirtuReal’s prototype, while similar in concept, does not match the sophistication and functionality of our VR system.”

”Furthermore, it’s important to note that VirtuReal Innovations has not yet brought a working product to market. Our system is fully functional and available to consumers, which demonstrates the extensive testing and refinement that has gone into its development.”

As Michael continued to present, he could see the expressions of the journalists shift from skepticism to understanding. The detailed explanations and clear distinctions between the two systems were making an impact.

”I want to assure our shareholders, customers, and the public that Reyes Corporation operates with the highest standards of integrity and innovation. We have not infringed on any existing technology, and we are confident in the originality of our work. We welcome further scrutiny and are prepared to defend our position through any necessary legal channels.”

Michael concluded his presentation with a firm statement. ”Reyes Corporation has always been at the forefront of technological advancements. We will not let baseless accusations deter us from our mission to innovate and lead in the virtual reality space. Thank you.”

With that concluded, one of the people inside raised a hand.

Michael beckoned that man to stand. ”Yes?”

”I am from VirtuReal Innovations and I have some questions for you.”
