Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

102: Chapter 102 Wall Street Retaliation Arrives, Tianxing Short Video Gets ScammedTwo days later, in the top-floor office of Tianxing Building.

Chen Mo was leaning back in his executive chair reviewing documents when Zhao Yuan knocked and entered, reporting to Chen Mo:

”Boss Chen, all the funds have arrived!”

Chen Mo nodded and asked, ”How much?”

”Our total profit is 9.05 billion US dollars. All necessary procedures and tax avoidance measures have been properly handled. The final amount received is 8.842 billion US dollars!”

Chen Mo said:

”Hmm, good. Keep one billion for you to handle the overseas market. Report any issues promptly.”

”Yes, Boss Chen!”

Zhao Yuan acknowledged and then continued:

”But, Boss Chen... there’s a troublesome matter.”

”Speak.”

”The capital from Wall Street has found out. They know it was us who harvested them this time.”

Zhao Yuan continued

”They’ve now teamed up with several tech companies in the US, targeting our Tianxing Short Video. They’re accusing us of copyright infringement and plagiarism, and have already sent people to Dragon Country to stir up trouble!”

After hearing this, Chen Mo’s brow raised slightly:

”Heh, they can’t handle losing so they come to frame us? How pathetic.”

Zhao Yuan said from the side:

”They’re making a big show of it, bringing lawyers and executives. It’s clearly a revenge move! They’re being very public about it; it’s all over the internet!”

Chen Mo casually opened his phone to check the trending topics:

”Shocking scoop! Wall Street was harvested by a mysterious big shot, and now they’re turning to cause trouble for Boss Chen’s Tianxing Short Video!”

”I heard the big shot who harvested Wall Street is Boss Chen! This is clearly revenge against Boss Chen!”

”American companies are shameless! They lose a bet and come to frame our Dragon Country software?”

”Tianxing Short Video has been too popular lately; they’re jealous!”

”Support Tianxing! Support Boss Chen! Don’t let foreigners bully us at our doorstep!”

”They say it’s infringement, so it’s infringement? Show evidence if you have it!”

”It’s obvious Wall Street can’t handle losing, teaming up with foreign companies to cause trouble! So disgusting!”

Chen Mo glanced at it briefly and said in a flat tone:

”Just a pack of dogs who lost badly. Ignore them.”

As soon as the words left his mouth, the office door was knocked. Zhang Kai entered after receiving permission:

”Boss Chen! People from the American company Vine have gathered downstairs, demanding to see you!”

Chen Mo looked at him:

”You handle it. Do you need to bother me with such a small matter?”

Zhang Kai said:

”Boss Chen, my presence isn’t enough to suppress them! They’re issuing statements and contacting the media, claiming our Tianxing Short Video copied their product. It’s spreading everywhere online, and even the authorities have come to inquire!”

Chen Mo frowned slightly and asked:

”What did the authorities say?”

”The authorities’ stance is clear: don’t back down, show the backbone of our Dragon Country, don’t let foreigners push us around.”

Zhang Kai replied.

Chen Mo said:

”Alright, I understand. Have them wait for now. Tonight, bring Liu Yifei, who’s in charge of short video, and Wu Dongju, who manages game livestreams, to my estate.”

Zhang Kai felt a pang of anxiety:

”Boss Chen... did I not handle this well? Are you angry?”

Chen Mo shook his head:

”Not you. It’s some people who don’t know when to stop.”

That evening, in the main villa living room of Chen Mo’s estate.

Zhang Kai, Wu Dongju, and Liu Yifei stood in the living room.

Chen Mo sat on the sofa, flipping through a tablet without speaking.

After standing for over ten minutes, Wu Dongju couldn’t hold back any longer and stepped forward:

”Chen Mo, why exactly did you call us here? My legs are going numb!”

Only then did Chen Mo put down the tablet, look up at the three of them, and say directly:

”I heard the American company Vine brought a group of people to pick a fight with us?”

Zhang Kai nodded: ”They claim Tianxing Short Video infringes their rights, demanding we shut down the service, pay compensation, and apologize! I didn’t give in, insisting our product is independently developed!”

Liu Yifei added softly from the side: ”Chen Mo, I think they’re just jealous because our short video platform is booming. They’re deliberately causing trouble, backed by Wall Street.”

Chen Mo sneered:

”Infringement? Infringement my ass.

Wall Street lost money, doesn’t dare confront us openly, so they use these dirty tricks, trying to take a bite out of me?”

Zhang Kai asked cautiously:

”Boss Chen, what should we do next? Their constant agitation isn’t good for our reputation.”

Chen Mo leaned back on the sofa and crossed his legs:

”What should we do?

They say we infringed?

Then we’ll sue them for defamation.

And while we’re at it, expose their dirty laundry too.”

Wu Dongju’s eyes lit up:

”Chen Mo, are you going to counterattack?”

”What else?”

Chen Mo said indifferently

”They come to my doorstep to slap me in the face, and I’m supposed to welcome them with a smile?

Tomorrow, arrange a press conference.

Tell everyone:

Tianxing Short Video is independently developed, clean and legitimate.

Anyone who slanders us with infringement claims, we’ll sue them into bankruptcy.”

Zhang Kai said:

”Understood, Boss Chen! I’ll arrange it immediately!”

Having grown up in the US, Liu Yifei expressed some concern:

”Chen Mo, they are, after all, a major American company. Confronting them head-on like this... isn’t it too risky?”

”Risky?”

Chen Mo scoffed:

”I just finished harvesting Wall Street. Why would I fear a few clowns?

Since they dare to provoke me, I’ll play along properly.”

The next day, at the Tianxing Technology press conference venue.

The place was packed, swarming with media and their equipment.

Chen Mo sat in the center, calm and silent, yet his commanding presence made him the focal point of the room.

Zhang Kai held a microphone, speaking clearly:

”Friends from the media, I am Zhang Kai, CEO of Tianxing Technology.

Today, we formally state:

The accusations by the American company Vine, in collusion with Wall Street-related capital, that Tianxing Short Video infringes copyrights, are pure slander, rumor-mongering, defamation, and malicious framing!”

The room erupted in an uproar!

A reporter immediately shouted a question:

”Mr. Chen, what is your view on this matter?”

Chen Mo took the microphone and said simply:

”Let them sue.

I want to see just how ugly Wall Street looks when they can’t handle losing.”

Gasps filled the room.

Zhang Kai then produced a stack of documents and announced loudly:

”We have formally filed a lawsuit against Vine and its affiliated companies for defamation!

We demand a public apology and compensation of 5 billion US dollars!”

”5 billion?! And in US dollars!”

The reporters went wild; this was huge news.

Cameras focused on Chen Mo in unison.

Chen Mo remained expressionless, uttering just one quiet sentence:

”You came knocking on my door yourselves. Don’t blame me if I end up harvesting you along the way.”
