Battle Of Planets

Chapter 34: Cannon beam
The battle raged for hours. The ground beneath Tyson’s feet trembled as Blue’s plasma cannon exploded in flashes of light, the fierce clash of technology and human will resonating across the battlefield. As they fought, the world looked on.Elria City - Times Square

Massive digital displays showed the intense battle between the White Ranger and the Blue Rogue. A crowd had gathered before the screens, some watching with amazement, others with fists clenched, their faces aglow with the bursts of light even during daylight.

As a young man watched Tyson skillfully confront a blast from Blue’s cannon, he whispered to his companion, ”I never thought I’d see a battle like this.”

”Yeah, it feels different,” his friend responded, eyes wide with concern. ”Rangers are giving their all even if they are outnumbered.”

”I’ve always envied them, but now it seems they truly deserve all the praise,” one of the bystanders murmured.

Amid the crowd, Emily stood frozen, her breath caught in her chest. Her eyes were locked onto the White Ranger—Tyson. She recognized that face. The boy who had always been her best friend, the one who used to act silly, was now fighting for his life.

As the battle intensified, social media buzz, a clamor of hashtags, live comments, and debates permeated the atmosphere. ”#RangersForTheWin” trended prominently on every screen, accompanied by thousands of comments from across the globe, analyzing every move Tyson made.

A Utopia, Humanity’s Strongest City

Military officials and senior strategists observed the battle on several screens in a dimly lit room.

A strategist in his late 50s, with a face weathered by years of conflict, spoke to the lieutenant beside him.

”Look at how he adapts to the Rogue’s tactics,” he said, his voice low yet filled with admiration. ”That shield—it’s not only defensive, it’s reactive. Truly a marvel, isn’t it?”

The lieutenant nodded.

A young man, about 27 years old, watched quietly from a corner of the room. His golden hair was tied in a bun, and his tall frame radiated an air of composure. He was handsome, and many considered him one of the geniuses of the new generation.

As Tyson’s shield cracked and a resounding explosion sent him crashing into the debris, a collective intake of breath rippled through the room. The tension was palpable. For a moment, it seemed like the Rogue might claim victory, but Tyson slowly rose to his feet. His armor protected his chest and lower body, leaving his face exposed, revealing bruises and smoke wafting from his body. His gaze, however, remained firmly fixed on Blue.

A chuckle echoed through the room. ”Honestly, he’s just like Ed,” a voice commented.

The room went quiet. The one who spoke was Humanity’s strongest Ranger, boasting 91 power points. He was the one who led the last tournament.

”Mark!” the man called, his voice sharp. ”I hope you’re learning something from him.”

The golden-haired boy stayed silent, his expression inscrutable.

In a Small Tent in Elria City

A family gathered closely around the flickering phone screen. The mother’s eyes sparkled as she spoke softly to her children, ”If he wins, perhaps we could have a chance at peace.”

The children, their faces etched with fatigue and fear, watched in awe as Tyson, battered and bruised, fought back. Despite the blows he had endured, he stood tall and steady. The moment he rose, the family cheered like they were with him.

”Do you see? Do you see what hope truly looks like?” the mother said gently, a tear rolling down her cheek. ”Even though we have only a few years left... we can still achieve it. This is our Rangers.”

Blue huffed as his cannon retracted back into his metal armor with a hiss of escaping steam. His face, streaked with sweat, showed exhaustion as his energy reserves approached depletion.

Emily stood frozen, her eyes fixed on the screen. When the Rogue’s face appeared, her heart skipped a beat.

It was him—the blue-haired boy she had met at the café, the one who had comforted her when she was feeling down. She had no idea who he was or what he did, but she finally saw him today.

In disbelief, she gasped, her hands covering her mouth.

Around her, the crowd’s mood shifted suddenly. Once charged with excitement, the air buzzed with anger and disbelief. People began to curse and shout, their voices escalating in fury as they recognized the identity of the Rogue.

”That’s him?! That guy is a villain!” one man shouted, pointing at the screen.

”He looks young, yet he is so wicked,” another woman exclaimed, her voice shaking with disgust.

”He should die,” a third person yelled.

The screen flashed with images of Blue’s resolute face, the blue hair now symbolizing everything they had come to despise.

Emily’s heart sank further with each passing second, the realization striking her like a blow to the gut.

The boy she had trusted, the boy she had considered a friend, was the very one who had been battling against the Rangers.

Before Blue could move forward, the Red Ranger suddenly dashed at him with incredible speed, forcing Blue to fend off his relentless slashes. The Rogue stumbled back, struggling to keep pace with the furious assault.

Sensing the tide shift, the rogues surged forward, eager to join the fray. They no longer held back, as if they understood this would be their last chance.

The Rangers, previously hesitant to engage, now plunged into the fight, motivated by a strong sense of urgency and renewed resolve.

”Protect Blue!” one of the Rogues shouted. His comrades rushed to his side, throwing themselves into the fight.

Nevertheless, Alex held his position, confronting the advancing horde of Rogues. Each of his movements was deliberate, with every strike delivering relentless force. However, it wasn’t long before he found himself with company.

Rangers hurried to his aid, their swords gleaming as they sliced through the enemy lines, driving back the Rogues and offering essential support.

It was all or nothing now, and both sides fought with a desperation fueled by the understanding that this battle could determine the fate of everything.

”Are you okay, Serge?” Shaun asked, his voice filled with concern as he stood beside Tyson, helping him stay on his feet. ”You were amazing out there.”

Tyson’s gaze moved from Shaun to his Met-bot. ”I need your help,”

Shaun hesitated, unsure of what Tyson meant. He opened his mouth to ask, but Tyson reached out and touched his armor before he could, then glanced back at him. At that moment, Shaun realized what Tyson was asking for—he needed the nanoparticles from Shaun’s reserves.

”But you’re hurt,” Shaun protested, glancing at Tyson’s battered body. ”Are you sure this is all right?”

Tyson tightened his grip on Shaun’s shoulders, his eyes intense. ”I want to help,” he said firmly. ”I’m a Sergeant, right? Then I order you to give me a portion of your nano-particles.”

Shaun blinked in surprise, his lips parting to protest, but he quickly swallowed his words when Tyson glared at him. ”Aren’t you a trainee?” Shaun asked, though the words were barely above a whisper.

”Hand it over,” Tyson demanded, his tone making clear there was no room for discussion.

The nano-particles began transferring from Shaun’s hands into Tyson’s Metabot with a steady hum. Tyson’s helmet, as if sensing the urgency, sealed tightly around his face, while the HUD steadily displayed increasing reserves in his Metabot.

Initially, it rose from 21 to 23, then to 29... it approached 43 percent when Shaun finally took a step back. He was nearly out of his own reserves.

Shaun’s power points were insufficient, so his capacity to store nanoparticles was limited, which meant Tyson couldn’t obtain as much as he wanted.

Shaun’s heart felt heavy as he recognized his weakness. If he had been stronger, he could have given Tyson more nano-particles, and perhaps even continued fighting himself without the fear of running out. But the truth was, he was still a rookie, a novice in this deadly game. He knew he needed to trust Tyson to make the best use of the little he could offer.

The Lieutenant yelled, ”You fools! You were supposed to safeguard the President’s family! What on earth are you doing out here?”

Alex barely registered the words before he caught an incoming punch with his fist and then delivered a powerful kick that sent a rogue flying across the field.

”Alex!” the Lieutenant shouted again, his tone dripping with irritation. ”Return to your post and bring Tyson along, immediately!”

Alex hesitated for a moment, remaining in the fight a bit longer. But the Lieutenant acted quickly, pulling him away from the rogue.

”This is an order! I don’t care if you’re the General’s son—go back inside immediately!”

With a clenched jaw, Alex stepped back, but his gaze remained fixed on the battlefield. Tyson was racing back toward the field.

”This idiot!” the lieutenant muttered under his breath. ”Tyson, do you have a death wish? Get back inside! I’ll handle things here; go!”

Just as he shouted, a deafening explosion echoed through the area, and Captain Barnes crashed down through the glass wall of the third floor, his body battered and broken. The leader of the rogues had defeated him.
