The First Legendary Beast Master

Chapter 2006 Struck Out

Karl called Tian and Rue over to help with the construction, as Leon was still busy with the guests.

”Alright, the goal is to remove this old house and turn it into a World Dragon Temple, for our new residents. Theyʼll be opening up a shelter for traumatized and abused Oracles, with a healing temple for daily revenues.” Karl explained.

”Isnʼt that ass backwards? The World Dragonʼs followers are usually the ones that traumatized the Oracles in the first place, by messing with their visions.” Rue asked.

The Oracle chuckled, and the Priestesses shrugged.

”While that is true, itʼs not intentional. Most of the time. Besides, everyone else who finds the Oracles wants to imprison them to give visions for the Clan, and the World Dragon followers are some of the only ones who donʼt do that.

So, itʼs up to us and the Nature Gods to take care of the Oracles who have run into issues in life.”

Rue smiled. ”Well, if thatʼs your goal, I wonʼt stop you. Now, I have an idea for the temple. Iʼve seen more than a few before. Though, we really should call Leon.

I mean, heʼs a Seraphim. If anyone knows how to build a proper temple to the Gods, itʼs him.”

Karl sighed. ”I didnʼt want to trouble him when heʼs busy, but youʼre right. Heʼs also a Runecrafter, so heʼs got the right skills for the job.”

Karl sent the Guild Message, and Leon appeared in front of him half a second later, looking relieved.

”Please say you have something that will keep me away from idiots begging for me to tank for their Dungeon Run, even though they know that Iʼve already done one today, and Iʼm on cooldown.”

”Well, I misjudged the situation. I thought you were socializing. We need a temple to the World Dragon built on this lot, with a secure area for the treatment of Oracles whose minds have broken from the visions.

There will be a group moving in to take care of them, so itʼs no extra work from us.

And weʼll want healing in the main prayer room.

They said that they do clinic services at home, so we can continue that, with healing in the Temple for donations, and specialists on hand for more difficult maladies.”

Leon picked up Tian and whispered something in his ear that made the little fox smile.

Then, golden light surrounded the pair, and the dilapidated building that was on the lot vanished, replaced by a white stone temple that grew up out of the ground.

The entire thing was made of Supreme Ranked stone, covered in elaborate carvings and statues, but much smaller than the Priestesses had expected.

It would do the job for a small shelter, but they would be limited in how many people they could bring. Having such a lovely garden out back would help with everyoneʼs moods, they were certain, but they were going to have to adjust their plans.

Then, Leon waved for Karl to come over, and Opal appeared from her space to join in on the fun.

With the Seraphim guiding the process, each room was turned into a [Pet Space] suitable for treatment of dozens of Oracles, with a Holy barrier against nightmares and fear placed over the living areas.

That should be enough to stabilize most of the Oracles, as the Divine Battlefield worlds saw this sort of issue constantly from anyone who drove themselves to see the future.

Everyone wanted an advantage, so the strategies were quite often Oracle on Oracle, trying to set up the perfect trap and crushing victory by their side. And because both sides were using seers of various sorts, they naturally countered each other, causing great strain on the ones trying to adjust.

Normally, it wasnʼt at a Temple, but a Guild compound. However, the principle was the same.

Plus, the temple that they had made to the World Dragon was beautiful, and the gardens in the back were a true Fae Hedge Maze, after Opalʼs assistance.

There was no shortage of space, or room to roam.

”Alright, weʼve set up the basics for you. Donʼt let the exterior fool you, itʼs bigger on the inside.”

The Priestess frowned at him, and Leon laughed. ”Trust me, itʼs a good thing. Weʼve got all the good magic set up in there, including anti intruder wards, to keep outsiders from entering the residential areas.

Iʼve done this before, on the Divine Battlefields, so I can assure you that it will be good enough for the purpose of helping Oracles recover.”

The group bowed politely to Leon, and then turned to Karl, who waved toward the door.

”We can do paperwork later if youʼd like, but you should send someone through this portal to make sure itʼs really to your people. I donʼt struggle to keep it open, but itʼs definitely going to attract some attention.”

The Priestess laughed, and then shrugged. ”We sent a message, theyʼll be out in a moment. They werenʼt expecting us to be this fast, so they werenʼt quite ready to have everyone moved today.”

”Thatʼs fine. As long as you get everyone who needs to be here moved, weʼre good.”

As they talked, The Moron spotted the transparent outfits of the priestesses and came over to say hello. Or try his luck with flirting, which was basically the same thing.

”Ladies, looking fine.”

Dana smacked him on the back of the head. ”Theyʼre Priestesses of the World Dragon, youʼre not going to get anywhere with them.”

Swag frowned. ”I mean, Priestess doesnʼt mean celibate. Wait, theyʼre not all lesbians, are they? Please donʼt tell me that theyʼre all lesbians because thatʼs completely unfair.”

The Priestess patted him on the shoulder. ”No, weʼre not. But weʼre also not going to fall for low level pickup lines. Come back when you can do better.”

”Damn. I thought that was a great opening line.”

Dana rolled her eyes. ”Thatʼs why they call you The Moron, you know that, right?”

”No, they call me that because of my cultivation technique. The name came way before the first time I was brave enough to hit on a Priestess.”

The Oracle chuckled quietly, and whispered something to the woman beside her that made her laugh.

”Well, Swag, itʼs been a pleasure to meet you, but we have things to do, and guests arriving soon. If you need healing after a mission, feel free to come by once weʼre established.”

That was the wrong thing to say, Karl thought. They would never get rid of him now, he still hit on the Dark Elven Priestesses, and he knew that they were constructs.
