Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1319: Beheaded

The face that met Kent was that of a hooded female figure clad in what appeared to be a living void armour. This can be seen from the shifting patterns in her armour. Only living armours can shift and make modifications like that.

Kent cannot see her face, considering it is covered behind a dark mask. However, even with that, Kent knew she held a cold look in her eyes simply from how crimson they are, glowing through the slits of her mask.

’She is a dangerous one.’

[Yes, Master. She is indeed a danger if you become careless.]

Kent narrowed his expression when he sensed her presence erasing itself as she stood there gazing back at him. It was like the more he stared at her, the more she ceased to exist.

[Her aura shows she is a Spirit Immortal with two immortal qi. However, there is something about her that even I can’t sense, and that is making me feel there is a hidden danger to her.]

’Same here. But I am ready for anything. Now that I can see her, what remains is to kill her.’ Kent lifted Gaap and pointed toward the assassin lady who held two daggers in her firm grip.

”You were a sport for the past hour. However, you must die now.”

She kept quiet and kept looking at Kent. Suddenly, Kent jumped back, evading a stabbing attack that came from behind him.

The past 1 hour hadn’t been for nothing. His senses had sharpened, and thanks to that, he sensed the attack and dodged better than he would have 1 hour ago. Just then, two more versions of the assassin lady appeared and charged at him.

All three of them move at the same speed, each radiating the same energy signature. This meant they were all the same person, and judging by the speed at which they moved and how perfectly they coordinated their attacks, Kent knew this was her battle style.

She had probably trained for years to be this good with three bodies.

”Interesting, I never expected you to be this good in close combat.” Kent deflected a sweeping attack and sidestepped, evading a stabbing attack. Just then, another stabbing attack came from the third clone.

He kicks back, his leg meeting the flat end of a dagger aimed at his back. Using the momentum, he moved his left hand, gently deflecting a sudden attack that came from overhead.

However, before he could make a move back, a second dagger came from nowhere, aiming for his neck.

”Hahahaha... This is awesome,” Kent laughed, feeling the thrill of the battle getting to him. It had been a long time since he had this much intense close combat with anyone.

During his life as Lord Genesis, he was known for his close combat skills. During that time, in the entire universe, there was no one better than him when it came to close combat.

He always wins all close combats simply because he has mastered all 1.6 million moves an attacker could make. Regardless of how complex the attack is, he would always have a counter.

In the universe, there are only 1.6 million variations of attacking moves that a person could make. Regardless of how complex the move is, its foundation came from the 1.6 million battle movement styles.

Jest had mastered all 1.6 million.

And Kent inherited that intelligence in this life, and as such, he was enjoying this battle. The assassin lady, in her three cloned forms, is giving him a good fight... so much so that he’s starting to feel like his old self again.

However, while he would love to keep up with this battle, he knew clearing all 5 floors of the void temple was the mission, so he had to end this.

Naturally, he never planned on keeping this long in the battle, but the thrill of the close combat got to him. Now, all he can do is hope one day he will meet someone worthy of facing him in an intense close combat.

”Too bad you are a void beast. While I don’t hate you like I hate the Forsaken Race, you are still my enemy, so why don’t we end this here?”

BUZZ

The moment Kent said that, the jade void wings appeared on his back, and his speed surged. At one point, he saw everything slow down, including the assassin lady.

’Too slow, I suppose.’

The moment he saw her slow down, Kent moved, and the outcome was decided with the three successive attacks he unleashed.

Three heads flew into the air and thudded on the ground, bringing an end to a good battle. The moment his speed dwarfed hers, the fight was over.

”Surprisingly, Spirit Immortals aren’t much of a threat,” Kent said with a smile. The next second, his hand moved and stabbed his sword backwards.

From thin air, the assassin lady was revealed, hanging limp off Kent’s sword, blood drooling from the corner of her mouth.

”You clearly underestimated me, young lady. Or you thought I wouldn’t sense your scheme,” Kent chuckled and twisted his sword, shredding her heart.

”H-How?” Even in death, she seemed to want to know how Kent saw through her perfect ambush. It was an ambush that would have caught many off guard.

Seh had used it many times, and every time she killed her opponent.

Basically, while Tower and Kent saw two immortal qi, she had three. That thing they both felt was wrong with her was her third immortal qi, which she hid inside the void.

On the outside, she manifested two clones using her immortal qi, so perfect that it fooled even Kent and Tower for a few minutes.

But when he caught on, he saw she was merely two clones and a real body — her real body. She may have good control of her immortal qi, but that doesn’t mean a body created from immortal qi can have the same feel as a real body.

Kent saw through her, and so he quickly sensed the anomaly when he activated the void wings and beheaded her.

This prompted him to be on his guard since the bodies on the floor were 3 immortal qi instead of two and a real body.

The real body swapped places with the clone hidden inside the void. All he had to do was wait and pretend he had no idea what she had cooked. With the void wings on, the moment there was a disturbance related to the void, he sensed it.

The moment she appeared, Kent made his move, and it was perfect.

Kent pointed at his reddish gold eyes and chuckled, ”You would have seen through your own disguise if you had the Heavenly Jade Eyes.”

With that, Kent pulled out his sword and let her fall on the ground. His Heavenly Jade Eye helped him see through the disguise put on by the assassin lady.

While she managed to elude his senses, she couldn’t evade his eyes. After a few adjustments, Kent saw her immortal qi bodies.

This also shows she was no simple person. Kent got lucky this time and also received a good lesson in what immortal qi is capable of when used to its full potential.

A few seconds later, the kill message appeared. However, this time, there was a third message, one that made Kent furrow his brow.

[You have killed the second temple master, Nyssara Noctveil]

[You have received the second temple Key.]

[You have obtained a Soul Warrior Candidate]
