Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1091: Supreme Immortal Sect vs Coven Of Peace (1)

The next day, 54 sects in the Celestial Ascendence Planetary Alliance gathered again for the main competition.

The reason why the first day was reserved for selecting the other five candidates who would join the five seeded candidates for the main battle was to see how the sects were doing.

Every sect has five disciples they pay extra attention to. They give them resources and freedom to grow limitlessly. These five are the seeded candidates.

However, after the five, there are other disciples who go through the same process as the others. In a way, they are the true measure of what a disciple should be and a reflection of how the sect is doing.

Their performance will show whether the sects pay attention only to the seeded candidates or show fairness to all other disciples.

The Supreme Immortal Sect lost only two battles. This was a clear indication that the sect isn’t weak. Of course, part of the reason for the sudden shift in the disciples’ behavior and combat abilities was the chaotic battle they fought two weeks ago.

They had grown both mentally and in experience.

As a result, Kent planned to become the guardian of the sect, meaning that if any of these disciples later became the ruler of the millions of worlds out there, he would automatically become their guardian, giving him his share of the soul essence he deserved.

The sheer odds they went against were just too much for them, yet they faced them like true warriors.

Kent, Nyss, Elowen, and two others joined the five seeded candidates for the main event.

Inside a room in a mansion, Kent sat with the nine other disciples and five elders, which included Lady Liora, Lady Enzi, and Elder Lance.

Elder Lance manages the disciples’ schedules, and Lady Enzi manages the team.

”Our first battle is against the Coven of Peace Sect,” Elder Lance said, holding a jade tablet. ”They were the 35th-ranked sect a decade ago. Of course, just as we have grown, they have grown as well, so they are not to be underestimated.

The Coven of Peace Sect only takes in Summoners, so be sure to know that you won’t only be fighting them, but you will also be fighting their summons.

Also, from the little information I have gathered, their captain can summon five Core Formation stage beasts, and even one is a Drake.”

The disciples’ expressions darkened at hearing such news. They were powerful, but facing someone who could summon five beasts in the same rank as them wasn’t something to take lightly.

”Do we know how many beasts the others, aside from the captain, can summon?” Kent asked, but Elder Lance shook his head.

”I see. It is going to be fun then.”

The other disciples turned and looked at him wryly.

”What?” Kent asked, not understanding why the strange looks.

”Big Brother, do you have a plan to handle them?” Nyss decided to ask, knowing her big brother was rather resourceful for a 21-year-old.

”I have no plan, Nyss. Just that if someone can summon five beasts at the same time, then what is preventing them from summoning a sixth or a seventh?”

”You think they deliberately made us aware of their captain’s capabilities as a way of misleading us?” Lady Enzi asked, and Kent smiled.

”They are smart, that is for sure. But I am not worried about any of us. At the end of the day, it will be seven against seven. If we defeat them 4–0, it will be our win. However, if they ask for a group battle, then we just have to take out the summoners, and their beasts will go down too.”

”That is easier said than done,” Vanna, the Pill Princess, said, keeping her expression calm.

”No need to worry, Pill Princess, we have the right person for that here,” Kent pointed at Nyss. ”She can slide through the cracks and catch them off guard, so if there is a royal rumble, know that she will be our killing weapon.”

Nyss puffed her cheeks and raised her shoulders, telling everyone she had them covered.

Her big brother, Xhan Wu, the Venom King, smirked, knowing his sister was indeed suited for the role.

”Let’s just wait and see what they will choose. They are, after all, the ones going to select the mode of battle.”

A couple of minutes later, they left the mansion and headed to the arena they would be fighting in. When they got there, the Coven of Peace Sect was already there waiting for them.

Naturally, they were intimidated by the Supreme Immortal Sect. After all, they were the 3rd-ranked sect among the 54 participating in this competition.

However, Kent, who was much more perceptive, could see the mockery hidden behind their eyes.

’Oh, this is going to be an eye-opener.’ Using his Heavenly Jade Eyes, he saw the true danger posed by the disciples of the Coven of Peace Sect.

’They are clearly hiding their true strength. However, as they say, in front of absolute power, all schemes are useless. They will soon learn the bitter truth.’

Kent smiled in his head, stood on the side of his sect, and waited for the match officiator to start the match.

A couple of minutes later, the person appeared.

”The Coven of Peace Sect has selected individual battles. Each sect will call forth a disciple, and whoever wins will have the right to continue or let another member of their team take over.

If a team wins four times in a row, it will be their win. However, you can choose to go for a team battle after the first three battles.

If that happens, then it will be seven against seven, so keep that in mind.” Every disciple nodded.

”In that case, each side should send their challenger.”

The Coven of Peace sent a slim-looking young man named Kroth, who stepped forward holding a staff. He was a seeded candidate, meaning he was not one to be underestimated. Kent studied him and smiled.

”Zeyrion, you take this one,” Lady Enzi sent the Crystal Dragon Prince to take the first challenge.

He was no weakling, but extremely arrogant, so they called him the Arrogant Crystal Dragon Prince.

’I see what she is trying to do. I just hope this bastard doesn’t become overly arrogant and actually wins with minimal effort.’

When Zeyrion entered the arena, Kroth sized him up and smirked. ”So you are the Crystal Lizard, huh?”

Zeyrion looked calmly at Kroth and said nothing, which was shocking. The Zeyrion everyone knew would be bubbling with anger by now.

However, despite being called a lizard, he said nothing and instead looked at his opponent with a calm expression.

’That is true character development right there,’ Kent smiled.

”Are you two ready?” Kroth and Zeyrion nodded.

”Begin.”

The moment the match began, Kroth stabbed his staff into the ground, and a summoning gate appeared. Zeyrion stood back, arms folded across his chest, watching calmly as Kroth summoned his beasts.

Soon, three beasts appeared — two tigers and a bird-like beast.

”So this is what made you think you can become arrogant?” Zeyrion asked, a look of disdain painting his face.

Kroth said nothing, but he clearly didn’t expect Zeyrion to say that. This made him frown, and then he summoned a second summoning gate.

The moment he did that, Kent smiled.

’What an idiot...’

At that very moment, Zeyrion smiled and extended his hand. The captain of the Coven of Peace facepalmed...
