I Am The Game's Villain

Chapter 753: [Final Event] [Blood Moon Festival] [35] All Out Against Cyril Raven

-BOOOOOOM!!!

Purple light swallowed the battlefield.

For a moment I couldn’t see, hear, or feel anything except heat and force.

But...

A shadow burst from the smoke.

-Thud!

Cyril crashed into the ground, carving a trench as he skidded dozens of meters. His chest was sliced open from shoulder to stomach, a deep diagonal cut. Blood poured freely, sizzling where it hit the Wrath particles still floating around.

His entire body was a shredded mess. Skin peeled away in strips, muscles torn clean through, and in several places I could literally see the white of his bones flashing between the wounds. But every time that eerie crimson glow from the dome washed over him, the flesh wriggled, crawled, and regenerated again as if mocking me.

”Ah—ahaha...” Cyril laughed, choking on his own blood. Thick, blackened droplets ran from his lips, but he still grinned like he was enjoying every second. ”It’s useless, Amael.”

I felt anger rising within me quickly, unable to hold back.

”Fucking die already!”

I launched myself forward, Trinity Nihil raised high, the blade screaming with purple flames as I swung down at him.

-BOOOOM!!!

A massive blood lance slammed into me out of nowhere, stopping my swing dead in its tracks. My eyes snapped upward, and that’s when I saw it.

A towering, three-meter giant made entirely of condensed blood stood between us, a huge crimson mana circle burning behind its back. The design... the aura... it was similar to the terrifying circle Elizabeth used whenever she dragged those nightmarish giants with stomach-maws into existence.

”...!”

Before I could even react, spikes burst violently from the giant’s body—long, needle-sharp tendrils shooting straight at me. I braced for impact, but green vines whipped out from behind, Kendel’s vines snapping into place just in time. Even so, a few spikes cut through and ripped into my stomach.

”Aghh—!”

The pain nearly stole my breath.

Another vine shot out, coiling around my arm and yanking me backward just as the blood giant raised its massive lance again and hurled it like a javelin.

Shit!

I thrust my hand forward and summoned a mirror.

-BOOOOM!!

The lance deflected, carving a crater in the ground as it skidded past. Dust blasted up around me. When it settled and I looked again—

Cyril was gone.

-SPURT!!

A horrible wet sound cracked through the field.

I spun around—and my eyes went wide.

”Arghh...” Kendel gasped as Cyril’s sword pierced straight through his back. Blood poured down his clothes like a waterfall.

”Sacrificing your life for a Human you’ve despised all this time,” Cyril said. ”Who would’ve guessed? Are you regretting it, Kendel?”

Kendel dropped to his knees, coughing out blood. But somehow—somehow—he managed a smile.

”It... doesn’t matter...”

”Then die here.”

Cyril raised his sword.

-BOOOOOM!!!

He didn’t even see me coming. The force of the impact sent him flying backward, smashing into the ground. His right arm twisted unnaturally—broken.

He stared at me, then at Trinity Nihil, now charred pitch-black from the strain.

I forced Wrath into the blade again, ignoring the burn tearing through my nerves.

”I’ve had enough of you, Cyril.”

I charged—Wrath erupting through my veins like molten fire.

-BOOOOM!!!

Cyril blocked my strike, but this time he wasn’t pushing me back.

”What kind of energy is that?” He said, narrowing his eyes.

”Sin of Wrath,” I growled.

I leaped away as the blood giant lunged, stomping the ground and driving Trinity Nihil deep into its chest. Then I unleashed Wrath.

-BOOOOOOOM!!!

The giant detonated instantly, exploding into a tidal wave of gore that drenched me from head to toe.

I scanned the battlefield until I saw him.

He was holding Kendel again—his hand stabbed deep into Kendel’s torso, draining him dry.

-BOOOOOM!!!

Crimson light erupted violently from Cyril’s body, swirling around him like a newborn star fed on blood.

”AHAHAHA! This is insane! No wonder the Vampire Witch felt like a god!” He roared, tossing Kendel’s limp body aside like trash.

-BAM!!

I appeared in front of him the moment the body hit the ground. Cyril caught Trinity Nihil’s blade with his bare hand, blood pouring down his wrist.

I clenched my teeth and pushed Wrath harder.

-BOOOOM!!

-SPURT!

His hand was severed clean off.

He leaped back, grinning like a maniac despite losing half his arm.

I moved to finish it but a weak sound stopped me.

”Ughh...”

Kendel.

I looked down. I didn’t even know what to say.

”I—I don’t need your gratitude...” He said.

He still reached out, gripping my arm with trembling fingers.

”F–Freydis... my family—”

”I’ll be there,” I said quietly.

His green eyes searched my face... then the light faded from them. He slumped.

At the very end, he did something noble.

Something I didn’t think he would.

Cyril scoffed behind me. ”How pathetic. He died like this in the end.”

Behind him, blood swirled violently into a massive tornado, the air thick with a metallic stench.

I didn’t reply.

Scales crawled up my arms. Five rings of Vysindra spiraled around them like serpents. My amber eyes narrowed into vertical slits. Wrath coated Trinity Nihil in a black sheen.

My body felt like it was splitting apart from the inside out—but none of it mattered anymore.

Purple flames ignited around me, consuming everything else. I vanished into them and plunged straight into the crimson tornado.

Inside, my sword clashed with Cyril again and again as torrents of blood slammed into me like hundreds of piercing needles.

”Ughhh—arghhhh!!”

The roar ripped out of my throat as I gripped Trinity Nihil with both hands, every muscle screaming in protest. I swung with everything I had, Wrath devouring the swirling tornado of blood in front of me.

-BOOOOOM!

The massive whirlwind split cleanly in half. For a heartbeat, the world froze. The two halves hung suspended like carved red curtains.

Then Cyril slipped through the gap like a shadow.

His fist slammed into my cheek.

-BAM!!!

Pain exploded across my jaw. I felt the bones crack—sharp, white-hot agony—and the next moment, I was tumbling across the ground, rolling helplessly before stabbing Trinity Nihil into the earth to halt myself with a violent jolt.

No time to breathe.

I summoned a mirror behind me, dove into it, and vanished an instant before Cyril’s sword cleaved straight through the space my head had occupied.

I burst out behind him and swung Trinity Nihil in a wide arc.

”Rings of Vysindra,” I whispered.

-BOOOOOM!

A purple, ring-shaped explosion erupted outward, flames spiraling violently as it blasted Cyril off balance. But even mid-air, his blood barrier reacted instinctively, absorbing most of the force.

”How long are you going to struggle, Amael!?” Cyril roared, his remaining hand snapping out toward me.

His killing intent hit me but a sudden gust of wind flickered into existence beside us.

Then it detonated.

-BOOOOM!!!

The explosion hurled me backward, but its real target was Cyril—half his face tore clean off, blood spraying as he stumbled and fell back.

I steadied myself and turned.

Aerinwyn stood there, chest heaving, silver hair disheveled, green eyes blazing, her hand raised as mana poured off her in crushing waves.

We didn’t need words.

We didn’t need a single look.

We had the same goal: kill Cyril.

I charged Cyril again. His remaining half-face was barely holding together, muscles twitching, blood bubbling. Maybe he’d pushed his regeneration too far—he wasn’t moving right.

I almost had him.

Then figures appeared—real people this time, not blood fiends. All of them under the Blood Moon Spell, their eyes vacant and crimson.

My sword hesitated for a fraction of a second.

It was enough.

Cyril stomped the ground.

”Ughh!!”

A blood spike erupted beneath me, stabbing deep into my thigh. Pain shot up my spine like lightning.

”Kill him,” Cyril ordered.

The entranced people surged toward me like a wave.

But then the temperature dropped sharply.

A thick wall of ice materialized between me and them, and in the next second, the ice wrapped around them, sealing the entire group inside an icy prison.

I snapped my head to the side.

Celeste stood there.

”...!”

I didn’t even have time to say anything.

The ice prison exploded violently as Cyril tore through it, his swords shredding stone and flesh alike. The people inside were ripped apart by the blood storm swirling around him as he lunged straight for me.

”Hesitation is death,” Cyril said, swinging at my neck.

A sharp steel sound rang out right at that time.

A silver blade blocked his strike at the last possible moment.

Aerinwyn stood in front of me, her sword trembling under the pressure, but she didn’t retreat.

Cyril’s expression twisted. ”Aerinwyn.”

His blood arts reacted on its own, lashing out at us both in jagged spikes. I summoned Wrath, grabbed Aerinwyn’s blade to brace it, and shoved Cyril’s sword back. With my free hand, I thrust Trinity Nihil straight toward his heart.

Cyril tilted his body, dodging with a mocking smile but the smile shattered when Celeste descended like a meteor.

-BOOOOM!

The impact sent him flying, carving a long icy trench through the ground. Half his body froze solid—but crimson veins began spreading through the ice, staining it red as cracks spread.

I dashed after him right after, slamming my foot into the ground.

We can’t let him regenerate.

A massive purple mana circle formed in front of Trinity Nihil.

”Burning Breath of Vysindra!”

-BOOOOOM!!!

A torrent of purple flame burst forward, roaring toward Cyril. He swung his sword upward, and a dense blood barrier erupted, colliding with the blast in a violent explosion.

Aerinwyn materialized behind him in that exact heartbeat—her blade already mid-swing, glowing with such dense mana that the air itself tore apart around her. The wind screamed, vibrating into a sharp, electric buzz.

-BOOOOOM!!

Her strike cleaved straight through Cyril’s torso. For a moment, hope flickered. For a moment, it felt like we finally landed a killing blow.

But the feeling died instantly.

Cyril’s bisected form dissolved into a flood of blood, splashing across the ground.

A clone.

”How naïve,” he whispered from behind me.

I felt the cold edge of his sword tearing through the air toward my spine—too fast, too close.

I couldn’t dodge.

But Celeste appeared in front of me in that perfect, impossible instant—her blade intercepting Cyril’s with a violent crash of steel.

-BOOOOM!!!!

The shockwave shoved me backward. I stared in disbelief.

She reacted instantly...

No—she might have seen the future.

”Ars Fatum,” Celeste whispered. White sands curled around her blade like living smoke.

”This again?” Cyril sneered.

But before he could move, the sands solidified into a long, gleaming sword extending from her weapon—and shot forward, piercing straight through his torso.

Cyril’s face twisted. He leapt back, gaping holes torn through his flesh, blood pouring out. His regeneration kicked in, but the wounds closed at a sluggish crawl.

Aerinwyn was already behind him.

”Zephyr Blades!”

Her sword slashed downward, and the air detonated. A thin blood barrier flickered on Cyril’s back—but this time, it wasn’t enough. Aerinwyn’s blade crashed through and sent him flying like a rag doll.

I didn’t give him a second to breathe.

Using Amunet’s Grasp, my speed surged—my body almost tearing itself apart as I coated Trinity Nihil in Wrath and brought the sword down toward him.

But Cyril smirked.

The entire ground lit up with crimson circles.

Dozens of them.

I cursed under my breath and slashed through as many as I could—but they all erupted in tandem, a storm of blood needles shooting out in every direction.

-BOOOOM!

Wrath shielded half the blast, but the rest hammered into me like a barrage of iron spikes. Agony burned along my ribs, legs, and shoulders.

I barely had time to land before Cyril appeared in front of me, sword already arcing for my throat.

Too fast.

I raised Trinity Nihil, but I wasn’t going to make it.

Aerinwyn blurred into existence again, her blade colliding with Cyril’s. Each swing of her sword unleashed a pressurized wave of wind—but Cyril parried her easily, pushing her back step by step.

Celeste joined in, her blade slicing in from behind—but Cyril vanished again, instantly reappearing beside Aerinwyn.

He kicked her square in the side.

”Ughh!”

She flew, spinning violently, but at the last second she twisted her sword, summoning wind to soften the landing before collapsing on her knees.

I gasped for air, watching Celeste clash with Cyril. The shockwaves shattered the ground, but even she was beginning to falter under his relentless pressure.

I forced my body to move.

Wrath crawled over my skin like burning chains, crackling and snarling, increasing my speed in a blinding burst that caught Cyril completely off guard.

He lifted his hand to react—but he was too slow.

Trinity Nihil swept through the air, and his hand flew off in a spray of blood.

Cyril lurched, wide-eyed.

Celeste didn’t let him escape this time.

Her blade flashed.

-SPURT!!!

A deep gash ripped across his chest—far slower healing, far less controlled.

Now.

Before he could retreat again, I hurled Trinity Nihil straight through him. The sword cracked his sternum and drove him backward.

I summoned a mirror behind him, reached into it, and dragged his body out beside me—slamming him into the earth with brutal force.

-BAM!!!!

”It’s over,” I said, grabbing Trinity Nihil’s hilt as Wrath swelled at my command.

”Sin of Wrath—”

-Spurt!!

A flash of crimson tore across my side. Pain detonated through me.

I froze.

Cyril smiled up at me from the ground—his sword having sliced a deep chunk out of my ribs.

”Blood Arts,” he whispered.

”Amael!!” Celeste shouted.

She appeared instantly, grabbing me and leaping away.

-BOOOOM!!!

Cyril’s blood erupted outward in a violent explosion, launching Trinity Nihil skyward before it crashed into the ground, embedding itself deep in the stone.

”This bastard...” I groaned and called Trinity Nihil back into my hand.

Cyril stumbled, coughing blood, dark and almost black.

”You’re all like cockroaches,” he spat. ”Every one of you.”

”Shut up,” I growled, launching myself toward him—but he smirked.

”Slow.”

However his confidence vanished instantly.

A sudden gust of wind blasted into my back—not harsh, but focused, controlled. Aerinwyn’s wind. She’d shaped it like a funnel, a soft swirl on the outside... but inside, its core was a violent jetstream.

The moment I crossed into it, the gust hurled me forward like a bullet.

The world blurred.

In an instant, I was right in front of Cyril.

His eyes snapped wide. He tried to raise his hand—but Celeste had frozen it solid in translucent ice.

He tried raising the other—but it still hadn’t regenerated.

I gripped Trinity Nihil with both hands. Wrath crawled up the blade like purple lightning devouring steel. Four rings of Vysindra’s flames coiled around the sword, spinning faster and faster until the air hissed from the heat.

In a single heartbeat, I was in striking distance.

I swung horizontally.

-BOOOOOM!!!!

Cyril’s blood barrier flared into existence as expected but cracks spread instantly across it like splintering glass.

”T–That was—”

His relieved laugh died in his throat as the cracks multiplied, spiderwebbing rapidly.

He tried to reinforce it, blood surging toward the barrier but I poured even more Wrath into the blade, muscles screaming, bones creaking like they wanted to snap.

My teeth ground together so hard I tasted iron.

-BOOOOOM!!!!

The shockwave blasted across the battlefield, sending debris, stone, and shattered earth flying. The ground beneath us cratered from the pressure.

Blood burst from my lips. Pain tore through every inch of me. My vision wobbled.

But it didn’t matter.

I only needed to kill this bastard.

-BOOOOOOM!!!

Vysindra’s flames erupted around me, answering my emotions. The explosion of heat surged forward and slammed into Cyril’s barrier with unstoppable force.

-CRACK!!!

The final fracture split the barrier in half.

Trinity Nihil cut through it like it was paper.

Cyril jerked, bringing his sword up desperately—but it didn’t matter.

My blade sliced through his weapon, through his chest, tearing straight into him. Flesh ripped, ribs shattered, internal organs burst in a wet explosion.

”AGHH!!” He choked, vomiting blood in a thick, black spray.

-BOOOOOOM!!!

The force hurled him away like a broken puppet, sending his body tumbling dozens of meters across the ground until it crashed into the earth and slid to a stop.

”...Ah... ah... ah...” I took several ragged breaths, the world tilting faintly as I stared at his unmoving form.

He wasn’t regenerating.

Finally.

I let out a tired, shaky sigh—every breath was painful.

-Thud!

I turned sharply.

Aerinwyn collapsed, her knees hitting the dirt. Sweat and blood mixed on her skin. Even with no Sin like mine and no prophetic power like Celeste, she had kept up with Cyril until the end.

That alone was unbelievable.

”Amael...” Celeste’s voice came from behind me.

I turned to look properly at her.

She was still wearing what once must’ve been a wedding gown—now ripped, soaked in blood, stained with dirt. Her white hair stuck to her cheeks, her breathing uneven, her mana flickering around her.

I managed a small, exhausted smile.

”Why are you—”

But then her eyes widened.

In horror.

Before I could even turn—

-SPURT!

A blade tore through my back.
