The Golem Mage

Chapter 1193: Fall Of A Great Warrior.

The spell passed by him and after flying away for a few more seconds the residual energy of the spell triggered a muffled explosion behind him, while the Orc Commander had already leaped into the air, locking his eyes on Titan, as he had made Titan his next target.

[› High Tier Spell - Layered Glacial Dome ‹]

Just as the Orc commander’s raised axe was about to slam down, Titan swiftly clamped his hands together to form a hand sign and conjure a defensive barrier around himself.

Seeing through this move, the Orc Commander channeled his totem energy directly into the weapon, causing it to erupt with a violent, fiery energy, and in a single, shattering downward strike, he tore through the layered ice dome that Titan had confidently erected around himself.

The heavy blade cleaved through the defensive spell and Titan completely in two, but just as the commander smiled, believing victory was his, Titan’s hand suddenly clamped down on his wrist that was holding on to the axe.

“Got you!” the golem body spoke, despite supposedly being destroyed, and a sudden sense of dread washed over the Orc commander.

[› Mid Tier Spell - Ice Clone Reversal ‹]

At that exact moment, Titan’s voice echoed from behind him, after the frost element had joined together at a very speed to re-form his body, turning his gaze back to the body he had sliced through, the Orc Commander realized it was merely an ice clone.

The clone had already transformed into a solid ice sculpture, but that wasn’t what fueled his rage. Instead, it was the realization that when he attempted to turn and swing his weapon once more towards the real body of titan, he realised his hands were completely locked in place, and a freezing frost energy had begun to seep deep into his body from the touch on his hand.

“Bulwark at your service, my lord.” Suddenly, the first golem he had hurled away from the battlefield reappeared, standing tall.

“Glacius at your service, my lord.” But the onslaught didn’t stop there.

Another ice golem, Wielding a spear and a heavy shield, materialized, swiftly followed by three additional captain rank figures.

These were all unique, formidable ice golems. Encircled by them, the commander felt as though they were attempting to encase him in a frozen tomb.

Since they were unleashing their overlapping and connecting Ice Domain, aggressively encroaching upon and ensnaring his own Primal Domain in the middle.

Under their intense pressure, the range of his domain shrank drastically, compressed until it extended a mere five meters around him.

Beyond the freezing energy he was desperately trying to purge from his hands, he could feel innumerable microscopic particles of ice essence bombarding him, attempting to penetrate the very pores of his skin from every direction.

Faced with this imminent threat to his life, he gathered his strength and finally shattered the frozen grip of the ice clone.

However, the escape left him severely sluggish, and he found it increasingly difficult to circulate and harness his inner Qi energy.

”Retreat!” The Orc commander, who was currently locked within the ice formation, looked around and realized that this battle was a complete failure.

Although he knew the Orc King desired another foothold on this human lands in order to have easy access in order to invade the human regions when the time came,

However the Orc commander believed they had vastly underestimated the new human lord who had taken over this domain, from beginning to end, he had not even seen the human lord but had been stopped by his golems, which made him feel like the main force of the new human lord had grown way too fast, he saw no reason to stay any longer, he just wanted to be able to go back and report his assessment.

His entire mind was now set on escaping, the surviving orcs who heard the commander’s command all turned back and began to retreat.

His top lieutenants, the Orc Shamans, had all been killed; otherwise, he believed he wouldn’t be in such a predicament now, and he couldn’t even feel the aura of his mount, which made it harder to escape as he now focused on breaking through.

”You had better not have any ideas of escaping; your corpse will be staying in this domain,” said Titan, who had finally finished casting his spell.

”Fall!” Dropping this command, Titan brought his hands down like he was dragging an invisible rope attached to a massive construct, as black ice began to rain from the skies.

The orc commander knew the golem before him was casting a spell above him, but it didn’t matter much to him because he planned to swat all of it away by swinging his axe and redirecting it so he could escape.

The force of his swing was meant to disrupt the atmospheric wind currents, scattering the frozen threat in every direction.

“Wrong move.” Titan remarked as he saw the Orc commander move.

Even though the Orc hadn’t utilized mana, his physical exertion had violently stirred the ambient wind elemental particles, and the black ice possessed a unique characteristic: and that was the fact it hungrily devoured mana to exponentially increase its own weight, a trait that can only be easily countered by another variant-type ice elemental mage specialist.

Expelling this black ice with any haste was a monumental task, with anti-magic being one of the few effective remedies.

However, Titan was certain the Orc commander lacked such rare abilities, after swinging his axe, the commander was struck by the realization that his situation had taken a dire turn.

His strike had failed to even nudge the falling black shards from their trajectory; from his observations, he saw that as the wind rushed past, the ice particles didn’t deflect; instead, they appeared to have feasted upon the mana in the air.

“Hmmm!” He stared at the approaching threat with deep contemplation, concluding that perhaps raw physical strength alone was the only way to clear his path.

He slammed his axe onto the ground, and then began channeling a massive amount of wild Qi from his tattoo directly into his hands as he punched towards the skies with a massive hand made from Qi streaked through the air, as he was attempting to shatter the black ice to smithereens.

However, the result was far from what he expected; instead of breaking apart, the ice shards dissolved after coming in contact with Qi and started raining down like black rain with some clinging tightly to his skin, despite the effect now seriously reduced.

The instant they made contact, he realized that there was a far more sinister nature to this black ice than simple physical force could overcome.

“I told you, that was a wrong move,” Titan remarked. At that exact moment, Saint had already repositioned himself near the spot where he had intentionally dropped one of his swords during his earlier feint against the Orc commander.

Digging his right foot into the frozen ground, Saint deftly kicked the sword back up into his grasp. Meanwhile, the Orc commander felt a heavy, oppressive weight rapidly building all over his body.

Recognizing the black ice as the source of his current predicament, the commander immediately tried to channel his Qi to purge them from his body, but a critical problem arose, because flooding the black ice with enough Qi to counteract its effects would require more time than he could possibly spare with the way he was surrounded.

Witnessing how it aggressively devoured mana, he refused to take the risk of channeling his own mana into it, while he fought against time, the golems were clearly moving forward without waiting for him.

[› High Tier Skill - Space Sword - 3rd Move. ‹]

Positioned far in the rear, Saint noticed that the Orc commander had been ensnared slightly which is going to affect his reaction time, so he decided to finally moved into action, determined to claim the final strike before Titan or any of the Captain-rank golems could finish the enemy leader off.

Executing an opponent from such a vast distance was a feat he could only pull off due to the new specialized set of sword moves he had created after advancing to the high rank, however he rarely used them due to the consumptions.

With a casual motion, he simply slashed the sword he had just retrieved, as the skill unfolded, a boomerang-shaped Qi sliced through the air; it had barely traveled away from him before it tore a rift in space and vanished completely inside.

Within a split second, the rift slowly began to mend itself. Meanwhile, a moment after it disappeared from Saint’s distant position, another spatial tear ripped open directly in front of the Orc commander’s neck.

The sword Qi emerged from the rift as if propelled on fast-forward, instantly decapitating the Orc commander before he could even raise his sluggish hands to execute a high defense.

His facial expression showed a frozen and struggling look, with a little shock as the head fell off, the commander’s death had come incredibly fast.

Meanwhile, Saint collapsed onto one knee after unleashing the move; just like that, the Orc invasion seemed to be rapidly approaching its end.

Many of the Orcs had already been pulling back even before their commander fell, due to his earlier command, but his demise triggered a much faster retreat with the ranks.

Although a few hot-blooded Orcs among the hordes appeared emotionally attached and turned around to fight back, but they received nothing but a swift death.

Even though they were pained and sought to slay as many enemies as possible to accompany their commander into the afterlife, the forces that have rallied under the Amazon Queen’s banner were the ones truly driven by high morale.

They rapidly squashed them before the threat could get any worse.
