The Golem Mage

Chapter 1093: Chaotic Countdown End.

The moment Connor saw the barrel of the gun pointed at him, the light in his eyes seemed to vanish, ignoring the pain, he tried to pull away.

But Alec was almost the same height as him, and in Connor’s weakened state, there was little he could do to break free.

Bang!

The shot rang out again. Connor’s head was blasted away, and a ping echoed across the battlefield, notifying everyone that another member of the Bloodline Academy had been eliminated.

By then, Kira had already snapped out of her daze, she stared in shock, unable to believe she had lost a teammate in just a few seconds of blanking out, especially after it had felt like she was still seeing stars.

Then a ticking sound began to ring out, causing everyone to look up. At last, they saw the real reason for it, the War God Mage Team’s score had finally reached the 400 range.

When Alec glanced upward, he realized they still only controlled two rune points, the central rune had returned to white because there were members of the opposing teams who were currently inside the circle with him.

Even without the third rune, Alec still felt confident that they could win within the next fifty seconds.

“Alec! A little support!” Brandon shouted from the rooftop.

It seemed that after Alec stopped suppressing Dragov with the compressed blood bullet, Dragov had finally managed to gain a foothold and was close to breaking free from the quicksand trap too.

The ticking sound overhead seemed to fuel everyone with a strange sense of urgency. Damien, too, had begun to fight more wildly against Lucas, throwing caution and defense aside as he wielded two different blood swords in a frantic clash.

Unfortunately for him, when it came to fighting until the very end, he had chosen the wrong opponent. Lucas loved this kind of battle.

Despite the cuts across his body and the various blood weapons streaking through the air toward him, Lucas still wore a smile, even while retreating, he continued to deflect attacks while swinging his glaive and releasing lightning-charged Qi strikes.

At this point, lightning energy surged wildly through Lucas’s body. If a lower-tier mage so much as touched him, they would likely be electrocuted on the spot.

Despite how dire things were becoming, Alec remained calm, his composure unshaken.

Glancing toward Brandon, he pumped the shotgun once more before resting it casually on his shoulder, with the barrel angled low behind him and he fired without even looking.

Thud!

After the loud bang, the next sound he heard was a body hitting the ground; Kira had been trying to move silently, aiming to land a fatal strike on Alec, but it failed.

In his current state, Alec’s Bat-Type bloodline had heightened his senses to an extreme level, making him incredibly sensitive to even the slightest sound.

[ Mid-Tier Spell – Quicksand Trap ]

Alec couldn’t move from his position since he was focused on reclaiming the central rune, so he cast the exact same spell from a distance, stretching his right hand toward Dragov’s location; the moment the spell was activated, it felt as if a dome of influence had spread over the battlefield.

Alec’s mana surged outward, linking directly with the existing trap, as a triangular pattern of earth-aligned glyphs formed in the air, synchronizing between Alec and Brandon across different positions, all converging on the trap zone.

As the glyphs fully manifested, the quicksand expanded in both range and intensity, this time, it wasn’t just pulling, it was crushing.

Within seconds, Dragov was dragged deeper, the sand grinding down on him with overwhelming force, after five seconds, only his hand remained visible, barely protruding from the surface.

[ Mid-Tier Spell – Second Form – Sand Burial ]

Then, in unison, Alec and Brandon clenched their fists.

The sand compressed violently inward, sealing Dragov within its crushing core.

Five seconds later—

Ding!

A notification rang out, indicating Dragov had just suffered his first death in the match, at the same time, the announcement rang out, that the central rune point had been finally re-captured by the red team.

At this moment, the battle was effectively reaching its conclusion, and the only Bloodline Academy member still in close proximity was Damien, and even he was still unable to overcome Lucas.

He cursed under his breath as the realization hit him that he was on the verge of losing, at the start, after draining Endrick’s blood to fuel his abilities, he had managed to match Lucas in combat, even while Lucas was fully equipped.

But although he could contend physically, it only meant that his blood reserves were depleting rapidly, he had been using them to heal himself mid-fight due to his reckless fighting style, and he had also used the blood in amplifying his attacks, in order to match the blows he was trading with Lucas head-on.

Now, he had nothing left, with his blood exhausted, he was completely at Lucas’s mercy.

Lucas didn’t hesitate, he brought his glaive down in a powerful cleave, as a massive blade Qi tore through Damien, splitting his body cleanly in two.

That strike just seems to mark the end of the battle, even though Carmilla and Dragov had already reincarnated and were rushing back into the fight—

Just before their attacks could land on Alec a loud sound rang out

Ping!

The loud sound echoed across the arena, as everything froze, and all eyes turned toward the projection array in the sky.

[ Red Team 500 – 306 Blue Team ]

The War God Mage Academy had reached the score limit.

“Yeeeeeeaaaaahhhh!!!”

The entire stadium erupted, while the crowd burst into celebration, unable to contain their excitement at what they had just witnessed.

The fanatic fans were nearly breaking apart their stands, their cheers echoing wildly across the arena, but regardless of the chaos, the result was final, the massive water screens displaying the battle dissolved into particles, fading into the air.

At the same time, the light barrier surrounding the mages at the creation stone began to withdraw, opening up.

One by one, the mages from both academies, who still had their hands placed on the stone slowly opened their eyes and the waterscreens reverted back exposing them to the crowd that were cheering violently.
