The Golem Mage

Chapter 518 518: Untitled.

No soothsayer was needed to identify the culprit behind the attack on the walls; he stood right before them.

”I thought I made it clear that thereʼs a training room in the basement, and if you wanted to test your spells, you should have gone straight there,” Selene scolded as she materialized before Alec, delivering a firm knock to his head.

Selene hissed in frustration as she surveyed the damage once more, Alec, on the other hand, was still reeling from the encounter, Selene had appeared before him with such speed it was almost like instant teleportation.

Even as he noticed her hand moving toward his head, he was unable to dodge or block it, he could only watch as she knocked some sense into him.

Despite the chastisement, Alec had reasons to be pleased.

[> Ding!.]

[ Mid Tier Spell – Bullet Blast has been integrated into your spells.]

[ Lvl 2 Branch has finished refining, pay 400,000 System points to harvest all(Y/N)]

The first source of his satisfaction was his successful comprehension of the Chrono blast flow, which allowed him to create a new spell using that mechanism.

Since many elements often follow similar patterns, it wasnʼt surprising that such a transformation could occur when executed with a different elemental substitute.

Alec hadnʼt anticipated such an outcome, but the addition of another Mid Tier Spell to his arsenal was a welcome relief, as it allowed him to be more unpredictable in combat, providing an unfamiliar card to play.

And then there was the matter of the Level 2 tree branch finishing its refining, a recent discovery by Alec.

Unlike the Level 1 tree branches, which he couldnʼt connect with, when he was outside the Amulet world, he could sense and command the Level 2 branch of the Primordial Tree even when absent from the Amulet world. The best part was that he could also harvest the rewards after the refining process was complete.

Even while he was not inside the Amulet World, the level 2 tree branch would just send its harvest directly into his space ring, this was how he acquired the first batch of ten Tier 4 pills that he had distribute among his teammates, providing a power boost to each of them.

Alec understood that he couldnʼt simply present Tier 5 cultivation pills to absorb to his team, as those who were previously in the Tier 3 mage realm might have overwhelmed their bodies by taking in more energy than they could handle.

It was akin to forcing a tremendous amount of water into a small glass, ultimately leading to the glass breaking under the water pressure.

However, now that they had all advanced to the Mid Rank stages, Alec believed it was only a matter of time before they could handle the Tier 5 cultivation pills.

But for the time being, he planned to allocate most of the pills to Lucas Blade.

Alec saw potential in Lucas, as he seemed to have the highest chance of entering the Tier 5 Mage Realm before the others, additionally, Lucas had already reached the peak of the Tier 4 Mage realm, meaning his body could accommodate the energy of the Tier 5 cultivation pill, and even if there was any excess energy, it wouldnʼt cause his body to explode.

To avoid spending a significant amount of system points on harvesting all twenty leaves from the level 2 branch, Alec used his mind to instruct the system, as he paid for just one of the leaves (20,000 system points), which had absorbed a Tier 4 shadow wolf corpse.

This allowed him to obtain another batch of 10 Tier 4 cultivation pills to share with his team an other things, in this way, they would be able to continue cultivating after absorbing the residual energy from the previous pills they had collected.

Cause unlike Alec, who had the system to digest the pills quicker and transformed them into experience points for him, they had to absorb the pure Mana energy contained within the pills slowly.

”Hey Lucas, I have something for you!” Alec called out when he noticed Lucas still in the midst of his cultivation.

Opening the small pill bottle where he stored the Tier 5 cultivation pill, a rush of powerful energy filled the air, causing even Selene, who had been about to leave, to stand frozen in place as she turned her head slowly to witness Alec tossing two Tier 5 cultivation pills to Lucas as if he was sharing candies.

At this moment, Selene could no longer maintain her composure.

”How were you able to get those pills?, cause I know for a fact that you are no alchemist,” Selene inquired, her curiosity getting the better of her.

Alec swiftly and politely replied,

”How can you be so sure Iʼm not an alchemist? Besides, I had these pills already, i was just waiting for the right time and person to give them to.”

Still, Selene continued to stare at him intently.

She understood that every exceptional mage held their own secrets, guarded with their lives, so if Alec was unwilling to share, she wouldnʼt push further, for now, she was just glad to see him using the pills to support the team when the academy couldnʼt.

”Whatever, just make sure that the next time you want to try a spell, you do it at the training room in the basement, otherwise, Iʼll let you drown for five straight minutes , and donʼt worry about the walls; someone will come to fix them,” Selene firmly instructed.

Cheekily, Selene added, ”By the way, can you give me Tier 6 pills? It seems like youʼre now a rooster shooting pills left and right.” She tried to appeal with puppy dog eyes, but Alecʼs body trembled with fear at the mention of Tier 6 pills.

In the second level of the Beast Forest, Alec still couldnʼt kill a Tier 5 demonic beast, at best, he could only engage in brief skirmishes with them before making a swift escape.

If he were unfortunate enough to encounter one with a pack, like the Shadow Wolf Alpha, he would face death head-on without any hope of escape.

Thatʼs why he couldnʼt help but tremble when Selene mentioned the pills as he would have to go for the top dogs of the second level if he ever wants to get that pill, which was clearly impossible, Alec slowly shook his head, and Selene grumbled, disappointed by the missed opportunity to obtain pills.

”Well, there goes my chance to get pills, well if it were that easy to acquire, I should have already become a High Rank Mage,” Selene remarked as she left, and Alec let out a sigh of relief.

He was relieved that Selene hadnʼt pushed further to know where he had obtained the pills from, because he wonʼt share information about the system, which would lead to numerous problems between them, and Alec wanted to avoid any troubles with Selene.

As she had already helped him significantly and believed in him.

Maintaining a harmonious relationship with Selene was paramount for Alec, the last thing he desired was to jeopardize the trust and support she had placed in him.
