The Golem Mage

Chapter 234: Bad News (2).

Alec and the rest of the gang were taken aback when they encountered a man in a blue robe blocking their path.

It would seemed as though he knew they would eventually pass by that spot.

Although Alec couldn’t help but feel suspicious about the man’s motives, the fact that he wore the instructor badge of the academy made him consider two possibilities.

Either the man had ulterior motives and was taking advantage of the instructor’s absence, or he had simply arrived unannounced and was unaware of the instructor’s absence.

The latter seemed highly unlikely to Alec, as he distinctly remembered his instructor mentioning that he had no friends who were Great Instructor’s, so there was absolutely no reason why he should be visited by one now that he is out of the academy.

Yet there stood the man in front of them, proudly displaying his status with The great instructor badge on his chest.

The Mage blocking their way happened to be the lightning Mage who had previously informed their master of his deployment to the battle.

”You look familiar,”

the lightning Mage remarked as he stared at Alec, He couldn’t quite place where he had seen Alec before, but he was certain their paths had crossed. Read latest stories on NovelFire.Côm

”I don’t think so, as this is the first time I’m seeing you,” Alec replied almost instantly.

”Well, that’s a relief, because I would feel bad if I had to do this while also knowing you,”

the lightning Mage responded, Alec’s guard was instantly raised as he squinted his eyes, trying to decipher the motives behind the Mage’s words.

”You can rest assured that I have no interest in attacking or killing you, with my own hands perhaps, So please keep your insignificant killing intent to yourself, as it’s only irritating me,”

the lightning Mage said, waving his right hand dismissively at Alec, Unbeknownst to the Mage, Alec had unintentionally unleashed his killing intent.

Since obtaining his Blood Changdao, he had discovered a side tab in addition to his main status tab.

This side tab revealed his class as a Blood Reaper, and one of his skills there happened to involve cultivating and materializing killing intents.

Once fully formed, he could use these killing intents to attack without even moving his Changdao.

While swordsmen pursued the pinnacle of sword Qi and sword intent, Alec’s class took a different approach, granting him the ability to comprehend a Killing Intent that surfaced whenever he was in danger or became agitated in battle.

Because he hadn’t yet gained perfect control over this power, Alec continued to practice the exercises of the Blood Reaper every day.

It was this killing intent that the lightning Mage had sensed, causing irritation, To those on the same realm as Alec, they might perceive it as a blade coming for their neck.

However, to a seasoned warrior like the lightning Mage, who had experienced all types of warfare and reached the prestigious Tier 8 Mage realm, such an intent was nothing more than annoying.

Yet, deep inside, he couldn’t help but sigh and wonder why Terran always seemed to possess the most exceptional kind of genius.

Leading talented mages who had the potential to become pillars of the academy, only to witness their deaths due to the clashes between his father’s faction and the Mad Dog faction, he had grown tiresome of the killings himself.

The Mad Dog, the Hall master of the Discipline Hall, considered Terran to be his strongest knight.

They had hoped Terran would never reach the Tier 8 realm, They had searched for any flaw in him because he appeared too perfect.

He abstained from drinking, smoking, or engaging in any vices, Instead, he dedicated himself to relentless cultivation, hoping to bring his Earth Element spells and spell skills to a profound level.

With these efforts, he could defeat newly promoted Tier 8 mages and could even compete evenly with a (Mid) Tier 8 Mage.

However, he would inevitably lose against a (High) or (Peak) Tier 8 Mage.

This was why Terran had been keeping a low profile, only engaging in battles where he could deal significant damage to a Tier 8 Mage as quickly as possible.

While Terran had the ability to unleash powers comparable to Tier 8, this didn’t mean he was without his own disadvantages.

He lacked the ability to recover mana and mental energy like the Tier 8 mages did, The reason he could easily defeat newly promoted Tier 8 mages was that they weren’t accustomed to properly materialized mental energy, leading to their defeat.

However, mid Tier 8 mages had already reached a level of control over their mental energy, As long as they could withstand Alec’s special moves and deplete his mana, he would be vulnerable and easily dispatched, as his mana recovery wasn’t as efficient or natural as that of a Tier 8 Mage.

It was a high Tier 8 mage who made a brief observation after witnessing Terran unleash his special skill, ”Fangs of the Earth Dragon,” and tearing apart a low Tier 8 creature from the second dimension.

The mage noted that Terran’s special skills and spells demanded a high amount of mana.

The lightning Mage, Igor, stared at Alec with firm determination in his gaze and heart.

”My name is Igor, a Great instructor of this prestigious academy,, I’m here to inform you that you need to gather everything you’ll need, as all of you are about to be thrown into a war that can either make or break you.”

With those words, Igor delivered the unfortunate news he had brought to them with A mysterious smile on his face.
