All People: I Slay Gods with Martial Arts

82: Chapter 82 The Land of the Gods, Those Ascended Who LeftQingcang Daoist Sect.

Taiyi Hall.

”General, you truly are a man of heaven; to think you were able to carve out a path different from all others in this world.” Master Zhang stroked his beard in amazement.

That gaze, which had never known ripples, was no longer calm for the first time in front of others.

Ye Xiu chuckled: ”Master Zhang, you flatter me. It was merely taking a single step.”

”Creating something from nothing is the most difficult task. This step of yours might herald a future Daoist lineage.” Master Zhang sighed with emotion again.

The little fellow before him brought him more and more surprises.

The two sat down.

The Daoist acolyte immediately poured tea for them.

Ye Xiu had no heart for savoring tea; he drank it all in one gulp and went straight to the point.

”Master Zhang, you are a high-level Daoist practitioner. Do you know when the Calamity of the Heavens will begin?”

Hearing Ye Xiu’s question, Master Zhang pondered for a moment.

He then looked at the sky outside the hall: ”The Great Dao of this world is already sufficient to support the descent of the rules. I fear the Calamity of the Heavens has already begun.”

”It has already begun...”

”Within three months, the world will usher in a second surge of Spiritual Qi. For ordinary people, this is a disaster, but for Cultivators, it is an opportunity.”

”This opportunity might be rather bloody...”

A look of helplessness appeared on Ye Xiu’s face.

Master Zhang let out a sigh.

”This great upheaval of the world, besides allowing the lands and mountains to extend once more, is also the best time to comprehend the rules while the Spiritual Qi surges.”

Comprehend the rules of the world?

Ye Xiu’s face darkened. He had embarked on the path of using his own body as the Dao; the lineage he cultivated no longer belonged to this world.

Comprehend what, exactly?

He only hoped that the surging Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi would allow him to refine a few more strands of Yang Power.

Master Zhang looked at Ye Xiu, whose face had darkened slightly.

He assumed he was worried about the outbreak of war.

Therefore, he chuckled and spoke again: ”Regarding the Calamity of the Heavens, those legendary figures will also return one by one from the endless Void Realm, so the General need not worry too much.”

Ye Xiu was stunned.

He did not understand what this meant.

Master Zhang: ”The heroes of the Age of Dharma Decline could escape into the endless Void Realm after reaching the [Void Imperial Realm]. If not for the revival of this world, perhaps this old Daoist would have gone to that legendary Land of Gods as well.”

Land of Gods?

Ye Xiu was increasingly confused.

Before this era, wasn’t it the era of the Ancient Imperial Court?

How did a Land of Gods appear?

Master Zhang seemed to know Ye Xiu’s doubts and continued.

”The Land of Gods belongs to our Age of Dharma Decline. When one’s strength reaches the [God Realm], the world in the Age of Dharma Decline can no longer contain such an existence.”

”Cultivate to the [God Realm] in the Age of Dharma Decline?”

Ye Xiu found it hard to believe.

What kind of exaggerated talent would one need to reach such a cultivation level?

With nearly non-existent Spiritual Qi and incomplete rules, in the Age of Dharma Decline, a Martial Artist who could reach the sky was already considered an extreme Genius.

Producing one [Mingdao Realm] expert would likely take hundreds of years.

[God Realm]?

What could one use to Cultivate that?

Sheer stubbornness?

Master Zhang took an ancient book from his bosom: ”The Land of Gods gathers the most talented Prodigies of Great Xia over thousands of years, such as Laozi, Zhang Daoling, and other high-level Daoist practitioners.”

Ye Xiu took the ancient book.

He began to read it seriously.

As he flipped through the pages, his expression began to become somewhat excited.

Starting from Laozi, there were at least five recorded Ascensions in the Daoist tradition.

The Land of Gods.

An ancient land located within the endless Void Realm.

This ancient book was written by a high-level Daoist practitioner after returning from the Land of Gods.

It recorded in detail the location of the Land of Gods relative to this world.

”Those people in the Land of Gods should have reached the Supreme Realm by now.”

Ye Xiu closed the ancient book and sighed slightly. If they could truly return, this would definitely be a great help to Great Xia.

After all, those few were existences with recorded Ascensions in Great Xia’s history.

The two chatted for a while longer.

Ye Xiu then bid farewell and left.

The news of the descent of the heavens must be reported back to the Great Xia Cabinet as soon as possible.

One day later.

Ye Xiu arrived at the residence belonging to Sikong Tianwen.

After a description, the Great Xia Cabinet meeting began immediately.

For this meeting, Ye Xiu was specially invited to participate.

Conference room.

When the Nine Cities councilors successfully connected.

Sikong Tianwen, as the speaker, spoke directly: ”Within three months, the world will usher in another great change. At the same time, the Calamity of the Heavens will arrive. Do your respective cities have countermeasures?”

As soon as he finished speaking, the other councilors clearly showed expressions of shock.

With their status, they naturally knew the world would change again, but they didn’t expect it to be so soon.

It had only been a dozen years since the first great change in the world.

Now they had to face a changing world again, and Great Xia had zero intelligence on the Myriad Races of the Heavens.

Just as everyone was discussing, Ji Xingyue spoke: ”The Nine Cities are located in a special position and will not change too much. The only thing we have to face is the small realms that will connect after the world changes. We have no idea what attitude the races within these small realms have towards the Human Race; we can only predict them as hypothetical enemies.”

Ye Xiu glanced at Ji Xingyue’s projection; he was not surprised she would attend this meeting.

As everyone discussed again, he spoke: ”It is not a hypothetical enemy. In the ancient times, the Human Race ruled the heavens with force. Countless years have passed, and our Human Race has declined. The strong among the Myriad Races will definitely not want to see the rise of the Human Race again.”

Luoyang: ”Indeed, we need to prepare for war.”

Jinling: ”We know nothing about the strength of the Myriad Races. I fear this war will be fought even more arduously than the first.”

Qifeng: ”Yunzhong, what does the Daoist side say?”

Ji Xingyue: ”The Daoists can fully cooperate with the defense work of each city, but I hope the Cabinet can establish Dao Shrines in the Nine Cities to commemorate the Daoist practitioners who died for Great Xia.”

Sikong Tianwen: ”This is acceptable. The Daoists have contributed to Great Xia and should naturally receive the respect of Great Xia.”

Zhaoge: ”Buddhism spreads the Dharma, achieving the highest realm of Buddhism through the Power Of Faith. Is this Dao Shrine of the same nature as the Power Of Faith of Buddhism?”

Everyone was stunned and looked at Ji Xingyue.

Ji Xingyue was also very generous and said directly: ”Yes, the existence of the Dao Shrine mainly requires the Power Of Faith to strengthen the Luck of the Daoist Sect.”

The conference hall was silent for a few seconds.

Sikong Tianwen then spoke: ”Everyone should be able to see the contributions of the Daoist Sect. Let’s vote.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Ji Xingyue cast her vote in favor.

One minute later.

Voting began one after another.

In the end, this resolution was passed unanimously.

If not for the existence of the Daoist Sect, Great Xia would definitely not have been able to hold on until now.

Even Buddhism was secretly absorbing the Power Of Faith.

Since the Daoists also wanted to obtain the Power Of Faith, establishing Dao Shrines directly in the name of the Great Xia Cabinet was indeed the best way.

As one proposal after another was passed, this Cabinet meeting, which lasted for three hours, finally came to an end.
