Cursed Immortality

Chapter 943: Soulmancer! (7)

Jacob remained sitting cross-legged for an unknown amount of time without any movement; the flames in his hollow sockets were compressed into compressed dots as if sleeping.

Suddenly, the compressed flames flare, a mystical fluctuation filled with law powers ripples through his body, and a vague kaleidoscopic pagoda materializes in front of Jacob.

Jacobʼs hands moved, and he started to form hand signs. The next moment, the Class-1 Soulless Flame beside him moved and instantly landed on the phantom of the vague pagoda and ignited it into raging flames.

At this point, Jacob finished completing the hand signs according to the third section of the Class-1 Divine Soulless Codex and solemnly muttered, ”Divine Soulless Codex: First Index Inscription!”

The next moment, soul runes emerged endlessly on the flaming pagoda and merged with the infernal structure.

As those soul runes merged with the flaming pagoda, the Soulless Flame started to absorbed in the pagoda, and its vague image became clearer, especially the first story of the pagoda, which became extremely vivid with its deep red color with beautiful white runic marking. In the center of this first floor, an ethereal Soulless Flame burns like an eternal fire, while the other stories remain still vague.

The moment Jacob completed the First Index Inscription, a sudden tremor rippled through his soul star, and the Class-1 Soulless Codex in front of him turned into a streak of kaleidoscopic light and entered his Nexus Point. The true colossal Class-1 Divine Soulless Codex hovered in the center of his Nexus Point.

Moreover, unlike the structure shown in the Divine Soulless Codex, his Divine Soulless Codex was far more imposing, and each floor was made with a different color. The biggest difference was that there was a symbol of infinity at the base of the pagoda, and this can only be seen within Jacobʼs Nexus Point, not outside.

The law of infinity appeared like this once Jacob arranged the laws in the Universal Cosmic Sequence.

But it wasnʼt all for the next moment; a red layer suddenly enveloped his entire soul star, and around Jacobʼs whole body, a corporeal image of a pagoda was condensed and appeared just like a soul totem manifestation.

The infinity symbol flashed above Jacobʼs apex eminence before vanishing with the image of the pagoda.

At this moment, Jacob was completely awake as his eyes flickered in astonishment and elation because he knew what kind of changes had just ensued.

The most significant benefit he received was the passive protection of the Divine Soulless Codex. Just like the Artifact Spirit stated, his soul was completely protected by the Divine Soulless Codex, and unless it was destroyed, nothing could reach his soul.

Furthermore, only after completing the Divine Soulless Codex did Jacob discover that his soul sense was now completely different from before.

Before, his soul sense and soul force were the combination of thirteen laws entwined with each other, but the moment he created the Divine Soulless Codex, they became systematic and arranged.

Now, he can use soul force and soul sense with any law or combine them as he wishes. Although this will decrease his soul force and soul sense power, Jacob likes it this way.

First, this will significantly reduce his Soul Force consumption. Second, those legendary rank experts might not be able to tell, but those Mythical Rank or Gods will notice his unusual Soul Force and Soul Sense, especially with the Law of Infinity presence.

Thatʼs why, now, he can control his soul force and choose what kind of law to show outside. As for combining them differently, Jacob didnʼt think much about it, but since it was possible, he knew there might be more to it and discovered its benefits or uses in the future.

But one thing was clear: his Divine Soulless Codex was completely different from the traditional ones. However, it still followed the same principles as the Soulmancers.

Last but not least, the Divine Soulless Codex has innate aspects that will awaken upon completion of each story. The information about it was only revealed in his mind once he successfully created the Class-1 Divine Soulless Codex.

The strangest thing Jacob sensed was after completing the Divine Soulless Codex, the Yin Magic Core was slightly more stabilized, and he could draw more of its prowess.

ʼSoulless Flame Controller…ʼ Just as Jacob thought about the aspect that he gained when the platform under him suddenly shimmered, Jacob felt strong space fluctuation.

ʼIʼm being teleported somewhere…ʼ Jacob instantly noticed, but this power of space was extremely strong, and he couldnʼt resist unless he used ʼthat.ʼ

Nonetheless, since he had already cleared the trials and hadnʼt heard from the Artifact Spirit yet, he was sure this was the Artifact Spiritʼs doing.

Now that he personally experienced the benefits of the Divine Soulless Codex, he wanted this legacy no matter what, so he remained silent yet vigilant as he vanished from the platform.

The next moment, Jacob appeared in endless black space, and he was startled because he was apparently enveloped in a white bubble and seemed to be hovering in this space.

But what his Eyes of Judge showed made him even more startled because the dark space around him filled with an invisible current, and even with his Eyes of Judge, he couldnʼt measure or see through this current at all.

ʼT-this is…ʼ Jacob finally looked to the side and was flabbergasted because there was a colossal structure towering within this space, and that mysterious current seemed to be gridding against its obsidian walls. Still, the structure seemed completely unscathed and pristine.

Moreover, the structure was so massive that he couldnʼt see the end of it, whether its length or width.

”Magnificent, isnʼt it?” At this moment, a familiar, eerie voice rang outside the bubble.

Jacob instantly looked over with a hint of vigilance because he didnʼt feel any presence at all until it revealed itself.

Outside the translucent bubble, a small being was hovering. It was around a foot tall and adorned in demonic black armor, covered in white glowing runic markings, which covered every inch of its body, and the helmet was completely faceless.

Seeing Jacob looking over, the tiny armored being speaking, its voice was extremely familiar, ”Nice to greet you finally, youʼve earned the right to learn my name. Iʼm the Artifact Spirit of the Divine Soulless Pagoda, ʼSoullessʼ!”
