Cursed Immortality

Chapter 648 Blood Manipulation Levels

The first day of Jacobʼs seclusion passed, but this time, he didnʼt know how long he had been within the immortal chapter; his entire focus was on the myriad images and information that were exposed to him.

Even after an unknown time passed, Jacob remained in a daze as he tried to comprehend those images. After spending an unknown amount of time, Jacob was finally able to comprehend one of those images. In that image, he found a silhouette entirely made of blood, and it seemed to be manipulating a drop of blood.

As time passed, Jacob was able to comprehend another image in which the same silhouette seemed to be separating the blood drop on a cellular level. Furthermore, as he started to understand the images and was able to ʼseeʼ them, that huge amount of information also began to assimilate into his brain.

Every time he snapped out of his comprehensive state, he would first check on the legendary key, then open Cursed Immortalityʼs immortal chapter, and again start to comprehend the smallest rune.

This was Jacobʼs first time doing nothing but learning and comprehending something; it was almost like he had returned to his past life and started doing research on the weapons without any care about time. So, it wasnʼt boring for Jacob at all.

Like this, a year passed by, and Jacob didnʼt do anything but follow the same routine again and again while the ocean remained peaceful. Jacob didnʼt know that a year had passed, and he was starting to understand the smallest blood glyph of Cursed Blood Progenitor. His hard work and devotion didnʼt go to waste either.

After his year of devotion, Jacob found that the immortal chapter holds mysterious concepts of blood, and if they had their own categories, he would divide them into three levels.

The first Cellular Level: The concept of this level was related to blood cell creation, mutation, and function.

The second level is the Energetic Level, which is related to manipulating bloodʼs life force and the magical properties hidden within it.

The third Structural Level was related to shaping and sculpting blood vessels and bone marrow. This level also holds the secret he needs to comprehend to complete the last stage of phase one.

But despite progressing this much, Jacob found that these three levels were not within this smallest blood glyph at all. In fact, this blood glyph seemed to be just an introduction to the blood chapter.

Upon further research and comprehension over another two years, he discovered that this smallest glyph was all about the basics of these three levels, and they called the Blood Manipulation Levels!

Only by understanding this smallest blood glyph will he be able to use the initial blood manipulation, which was manipulating blood through his cursed heart!

But this was still far from enough to completely comprehend the first blood glyph, if anything within these three years he was only able to comprehend about 30% of the glyph.

However, this didnʼt discourage him, if anything, he was thrilled and more motivated than ever because he could tell that he was starting to feel a close connection with his cursed heart more than he ever had.

After finally arranging the mystery of the Blood Manipulation levels, he can finally focus on increasing his knowledge and even start practicing blood manipulation by using his cursed heart to take control over his own cursed blood.

Time seems to have lost its effect on Jacob. He was fully immersed in the smallest glyph and able to spend more and more time within the Immortal Chapter as he comprehended the blood glyph.

On this day, in the seventh year after Jacob started his seclusion, Jacob had the corpse of the snow fox of unique rank in front of him as he placed his hand on its icy body, and his cursed heart pulsing even without using the fluid acceleration.

The foxʼs corpse seemed stoic, but if someone looked carefully, blood veins bulged all over its body while Jacobʼs expression was solemn. Jacob was trying to manipulate the blood in this corpse using the cursed heart because he didnʼt dare try to do the same thing with his own blood.

He found that blood manipulation was not as simple as he thought it would be. Everything was going fine at first, as he was able to use the cursed heart to circulate the cursed blood within his body.

This was the initial mastery of the cellular level of blood manipulation and the limit of knowledge within this blood glyph.

But when he tried to move on to the energetic level where he could manipulate the bloodʼs life force and magic properties, he almost self-destructed, as if he had provoked something in his blood and lost control!

Jacobʼs steady progress suddenly halted at this point. He didnʼt dare experiment on himself, so he finally decided to experiment on others. He had numerous corpses from the no-return zone.

So, he started to practice on them, but it was even harder since he had to start from the beginning and find a way to manipulate othersʼ blood. But with fluid acceleration help in the beginning, he was able to quickly the cellular level control on blood other than his own.

Now, he was again trying to practice the energetic level on this fox, and at this moment, he felt a peculiar power hidden in the foxʼs blood.

ʼBoom!ʼ

The foxʼs corpse blasted like a small bomb!

Jacob was completely fine and didnʼt care about the bloody mess in the water, but his expression was gloomy as he mused, ʼIs this related to the life force and magic properties hidden within the blood that stops me from peering into its mysteries?ʼ

ʼI can tell the life force is completely preserved because I kept this corpse in the pendant, so itʼs not about its being dead for a long time. Just why am I getting this kind of reaction from the energetic level?ʼ

Jacob was about to take out another corpse and start to experiment again when he suddenly sensed something stirring inside him, and his eyes flashed with surprise.

Jacob flipped his hand, and above it, a small egg-sized black cocoon appeared, glowing in a dark light as cracks were spreading on it.It was an indication that the thing within was about to break free.

Jacobʼs eyes flashed with anticipation and ecstasy as he looked deeply at the cracking cocoon and mused, ʼAutarch is finally about to complete his evolution!ʼ
