Chapter 118 Klein Meets Anthony for the First Time (Subscribe)

”It’s been a long time, little Klein. I didn’t expect you to be a Sequence 8 in the blink of an eye. God knows how surprised I was when I heard this from Your Excellency.” When Klein saw Old Neil, the old man Neil naturally also saw him, and immediately greeted him with a smile. He seemed to be in good spirits at the moment.

”Mr. Neil, why are you here? By the way, how are you... recently?” Klein ran up to Old Neil in surprise with his suitcase in hand. When he asked this question, he almost subconsciously Turn on the Spirit Vision to observe the situation of Old Neil.

Well, judging by the color, Mr. Neil is in good condition... Klein was a little relieved.

”Of course I’m here to pick you up. Anyway, I don’t have anything to do recently. I heard you’re coming, so I just came over to pick you up.” Old Neil replied with a smile. As an elderly man, he naturally didn’t do it. For things like helping Klein with luggage, he just smiled and said:
”As for the body, it’s not bad. I don’t take the initiative to listen to those raving words. At least I don’t have to worry about losing control in the past two years. It said that I will be able to go back to Tingen soon.”

”That’s good.” Klein was completely relieved, and asked again: ”We are going to report at St. Samuel’s Church, who should I report to?”

This point was really not mentioned in the transfer order.

”Your Excellency St. Anthony is already waiting for you in the church. He seems to have something to say to you.” Old Neil glanced at Klein and said with a smile, ”Little Klein, do you know what this means? It means you You are highly valued by the church. Work hard, maybe in the future, I will be able to call you Saint Klein.”

”Your Excellency Saint Anthony...” Klein also showed surprise. Of course he knew who Saint Anthony was.

However, because he had seen the ”Goddess Sword” before, and the fact that he was transferred to Backlund was an oracle personally issued by the goddess, so although he was a little surprised that St. Anthony wanted to meet him in person, But he was not too shocked, but after hesitating for a second, he asked, ”Your Excellency Saint Anthony, what kind of person are you?”

”You asked me this, but you are asking about my blind spot in knowledge. Although I have met His Excellency St. Anthony, it was only from a distance, but I have not talked with him directly. But little Klein, don’t Too worried, according to my observations and rumors, His Excellency St. Anthony should be a very gentle person.” Old Neil said with a smile, and then remembered something to add.

”By the way, His Excellency Lin Ruo should be in St. Samuel’s Church by now.”

”Lin Ruo is here too...” Klein was not surprised by this news at all.

”Let’s go, little Klein, don’t make His Excellency Saint Anthony wait too long.” Old Neil said, leading Klein to the outside of the station.

”Okay.” Klein naturally hurried to catch up.

……

When Klein arrived at St. Samuel’s Church, he was led by Old Neil to Lord St. Anthony’s study.

”Boom boom boom!”

He put down the suitcase in his hand, raised his hand and knocked on the door a few times, only to hear a gentle voice from inside.

”Come in.”

”Excuse me.” Klein carefully opened the door and took a look inside. The first thing he saw was the old man sitting at the desk with a pen in his hand.

This was a smiling old man with a kind expression on his face, but as soon as Klein saw him, an uncontrollable fear suddenly surged in Klein’s body and mind. It wasn’t too strong, but it was real.

How is this going?

Klein was a little taken aback, and suddenly heard a voice:
”Rein in your spirituality, I told you earlier that your inspiration is too high, so hold it back.”

Knowing who the voice was, Klein quickly meditated and restrained his spirituality. He immediately felt that the uncontrollable fear was much less. He also understood that the stronger the spirituality, the greater the fear he could feel from the old man—— And the diviner’s path is inherently spiritual, not to mention he still has the blessing of that gray fog.

Klein then looked at the person who had just spoken, and as expected, he saw a familiar figure—Lin Ruozheng in a tuxedo was holding a book on the window sill, looking at him helplessly.

”It’s a good thing for a Seer to be spiritual.” St. Anthony said with a smile. After Klein came to the desk and bowed down according to the etiquette of the Nighthawks, he continued: ”You are Klein, you are very good.”

”Your Excellency St. Anthony, thank you.” Klein suddenly felt nervous when he heard the praise from the leader of the Goddess Church in the Backlund Diocese.

Saint Anthony smiled and said: ”It is the will of the goddess to have you come to Backlund. You are different from other Nighthawks. You may be required for some special tasks in the future. However, there will be no need for you in the future. You can follow Your Excellency Lin Ruo first, he is your teacher and will arrange for you.”

special task? What special mission would require me to have an unremarkable Sequence 8?

Is it really because of the gray fog?
But when did the goddess notice me? It wouldn’t be at the very beginning... Klein thought a lot in this second, and he suddenly understood Lin Ruo’s fear and helplessness when he talked about the goddess.

A god who may have noticed you a long time ago, even watched you all the time, and arranged you clearly, but you don’t know what He has planned for you, and you can’t figure out what He is thinking... It is really called People are afraid and helpless.

Of course, as someone with acting skills at the actor-level, Klein didn’t show even a little bit of it on the surface no matter how much he thought about it, he just said, ”Okay, Your Excellency St. Anthony.”

At this time, Lin Ruo walked to the desk and put down the book in his hand, and said, ”If there is nothing else, I will take Klein away first.”

”Take him away.” Saint Anthony naturally would not object, but raised his hand and drew a red moon on his chest, saying, ”May the goddess bless you.”

”Praise the goddess.” Lin Ruo, who was already able to praise and was very proficient, painted the crimson moon on her chest, and then said to Klein who was also painting the crimson moon next to her: ”Let’s go, Klein, when you first arrive in Backlund, you have to first Find a place to put you up.”

The two left St. Anthony’s study one after the other, and saw Old Neil, who had led Klein over, still waiting beside Klein’s big suitcase.

”Good afternoon, Mr. Neil, do you want to have a meal together?” Lin Ruo greeted Old Neil with a smile.

”No, Your Excellency, I’ve already had lunch.” Old Neil refused with a smile, his eyes fell on Klein again, and said, ”Little Klein, work hard, I’ll go first, we’ll talk later .”

”Okay, Mr. Neil.” Klein nodded, and the old Neil told Klein his current address, and then left.

After Old Neil left, Klein and Lin Ruo also left St. Samuel Church. Klein let out a long breath after stepping out of the church.
”Why, were you nervous just now?” Lin Ruojian asked with a smile.

”How can you not be nervous? That’s His Excellency St. Anthony.” Klein said so, and then asked curiously: ”By the way, Lin Ruo, what is the sequence of His Excellency St. Anthony?”

”Your Excellency St. Anthony is Sequence Three of the Dark Night Pathway, and the name of this sequence is Bishop of Fear.” Lin Ruo, who has not taught Klein the name and knowledge of high-level sequences, went through the science, looked at Klein and said: ”By Speaking of this, let’s solve your housing problem first, we can’t keep you dragging a big suitcase around!”
