Queen of Beasts: The boss becomes the savior by raising cubs

Chapter 169 Inner City (1)

Chapter 169 Inner City ([-])

Near noon, Ye Yanran and the others finally came to the gate of the inner city of Joyce City. The inner and outer city walls of Joyce City consisted of a city wall five meters high and three meters thick.

This city wall made of hard bluestone bricks is now dilapidated, and there are huge gaps every few meters, and the shapes of these gaps are different.

Some locations seem to have been violently smashed by battering rams, some locations seem to have been blasted by explosives, and some locations seem to have been corroded and melted by strong acid.
The original majestic and majestic gate tower has become a pile of debris, and the words ’Joyce City’ can be vaguely seen from the rubble on the ground.

In just 2 months, weeds and creeper-like vines have grown among the ruined walls all over the ground, as if the city in front of us has been abandoned for a long time.

Ye Yanran looked into the city along the gap in the collapsed city wall. The once bustling inner city was like a no-man’s land. It was extremely depressed. A gust of wind blew through and rolled up a few pages of promotional papers and some household garbage.

The wide streets and squares are empty, with only a few severely deformed cars left to remind everyone that this place was once prosperous.

”Roar--”

”Meow--”

Suddenly, several roars of beasts reached Ye Yanran’s ears, she turned her head to look, and saw several people besieging a lynx monster at the crossroad on the east side of the square.

It’s just that these few people are no longer normal people, they are the mutants that Zhang Chenguang said.

Among these people, there was a human being who was very outstanding. His arms mutated into the shape of a mantis’ sickle, and every time he attacked, he would cut a deep wound on the lynx demon.

In the end, he cut the throat of the lynx demon with a single knife and killed him, and then several mutants began to frantically devour the corpse of the lynx demon.

Zhang Chenguang had discovered them a long time ago, seeing that Ye Yanran hadn’t made a statement, he hurriedly whispered to Ye Yanran: ”Master, these guys are the mutants I told you about, and there are many such mutants in the inner city.

They are not afraid of death, as if they don’t know pain, if they don’t completely kill them, they will continue to attack as if they are tireless. ”

”Ok!”

Ye Yanran nodded lightly. Through the battle just now, she got some very useful information.

The strength of these mutants is very different. The strength of the scythe man is obviously higher than the others. His strongest point is not that his arms have turned into sharp sickles, but his own strength is the strongest.

In addition, Ye Yanran also found something different from what Zhang Chenguang described in these people.

According to Zhang Chenguang, these people have no mind, so how did they cooperate?

Ye Yanran saw very clearly just now, it was the guy whose lower body turned into a treant first restrained the lynx demon, and then several other people swarmed up.

After killing the lynx, several people shared the meat of the lynx monster. This is simply a team battle, and it doesn’t look like a group of madmen who have lost their minds.

At this time, Zhang Chenguang also noticed that something was wrong. He frowned and said, ”No, when I met them last time, they obviously jumped at everyone, so why are they still cooperating now?”

”You mean they jump on ’people’?”

Before Zhang Chenguang realized the meaning of Ye Yanran’s words, he nodded and said, ”That’s right, when Wen Guangdao and I came over last time, they attacked us when they saw us.”

Hearing this, Ye Yanran became more determined in her inner thoughts, these mutants were definitely created on purpose.

”You wait here, I will meet these guys.”

”Palace Master, Dangerous”

Zhang Chenguang was only halfway through when Ye Yanran rushed out. Like a swift civet, she tossed and turned to approach the mutants who were eating.

”Hum~”

A pig-headed man who was biting the ass of the lynx demon happened to glance over Ye Yanran, and immediately issued a warning sound.

In an instant, several mutants turned around at the same time, looking at Ye Yanran who suddenly appeared.

Ye Yanran applied a ’Guardian of Wood’ to herself, and then stood there silently. The strength of these mutants is too weak, at best they are about the same as a lynx monster with a power value of around 50.

With Ye Yanran’s current strength, these guys couldn’t break through her defense, so she only applied a protective skill to herself just in case.

The opponent’s reaction was quick, and the first to strike was the half-tree man whose legs had turned into vines.

He can use a skill similar to ’vine entanglement’ to summon several vines to entangle Ye Yanran.

Ye Yanran still stood there silently, ready to personally try these guys’ fighting power, fighting style, and their teamwork.

In an instant, several tenacious vines tightly entwined Ye Yanran. Unfortunately, these vines seemed to encounter an invisible barrier and could not break through.

Immediately afterwards, the sickle hand who was in charge of the attack launched an attack on Ye Yanran. He opened his arms that turned into sickles, and cut towards Ye Yanran’s neck.

Although his strength was slightly stronger than that of the half-tree man, but in the face of absolute strength, he still couldn’t break through Ye Yanran’s defense.

Afterwards, the other two mutants also attacked Ye Yanran.

Through the attack methods of these mutants, Ye Yanran got a lot of effective information. They have IQ, know how to cooperate with each other, and know that the neck is the weakness of human beings.

It’s just that they seem to have lost the ability to express language, and their brains are also different from normal people.

They hate humans very much, when they dealt with Ye Yanran, they were even wilder than when they dealt with the lynx monster, as if they wanted to kill all humans, which is very strange.

After a brief observation, Ye Yanran suddenly stretched out her right hand, grabbed the scythe man by the neck, and lifted him up.

The scythe man was strangled by Ye Yanran, unable to breathe, the two sharp scythes pinched Ye Yanran tightly and pinched out his arms, his legs kept kicking in the air.

It’s a pity that Ye Yanran’s right hand remained motionless like iron tongs, and the scythe man’s struggle became weaker and weaker, and soon became limp.

Seeing that their companions had been dealt with, the other mutants didn’t have the slightest intention of retreating, and continued to attack Ye Yanran. This confirmed Zhang Chenguang’s words that they were not afraid of death.

Ye Yanran only needs the sickle man as an experimental product, and the other mutants have lost their use value. She condensed the supernatural spear and eliminated these guys in a few hits.

It is worth mentioning that Ye Yanran killed these half-human, half-beast guys, the system did not increase her experience points.

This shows that in the judgment of the system, they do not belong to super creatures, but belong to mutated human beings.

Ye Yanran threw the scythe man in her hand to Zhang Chenguang, and said: ”Tie this thing up and bring it back to Teacher Lu to study.”

The corners of Zhang Chenguang’s mouth twitched, and he thought that you are really big. First, you raised a group of evil three-headed dogs at school, saying that they were to guard the house, and now you want Lu Li to study these mutants.

Lu Li is a scientist, he is not a biologist, okay?
Lu Li: I thank you!
