Lord of the Truth

Chapter 2378 Heal

Hummm...

A brilliant golden power slowly gathered above Helenʼs body, streams of radiant energy quietly converging from every direction before intertwining with one another in perfect harmony. Layer after layer of golden light condensed until the entire phenomenon gradually assumed the unmistakable shape of the Ouroboros ring—the symbol of the Master Law of Creation. It hovered silently above her crystal coffin, radiating a gentle pressure that carried neither destruction nor oppression, only the overwhelming sensation that something was about to be rebuilt exactly as it was meant to exist.

”....” Caesar frowned slightly, his eyes fixed upon the golden symbol without blinking. ”Is... that the golden momentum you told me about?”

”...Itʼs golden.” Glatheon shrugged after a brief hesitation, never taking his eyes off the floating seal either. ”So... it probably is. Honestly, your guess is as good as mine. My Lord never actually showed it to me directly before.”

”....”

The following moment, the symbol of the Master Law of Creation slowly descended toward Helen. It moved with astonishing gentleness, almost as though it feared disturbing her sleep, until it reached her chest and gradually melted into her body without producing even the slightest ripple or fluctuation.

Moments later...

It had completely disappeared.

Robin casually withdrew his hand before showing a faint, satisfied smile.

”Alright. Iʼm finished. Sheʼll most likely wake up within a few days... perhaps a few months instead. That depends entirely on how her body responds after everything has been restored.”

”Just... like that?!” Caesar immediately stepped forward, pointing toward Helen with obvious disbelief written across his face. ”Iʼd advise you to examine her once more. No one understands her condition better than I do. Iʼve spent all this time watching her slowly die before my eyes.”

”If her nascent soul had been shattered or erased, everything would already have been over.” Robin answered calmly without the slightest trace of annoyance. ”Had death merely been approaching, I would have attempted communicating with the planetary souls before it arrived. Had she truly died long ago... I wouldʼve accepted reality and given up entirely.”

He continued in the same composed tone.

”But the death of the body itself is actually far simpler. The body is nothing more than a vessel meant to contain the soul and grant it the ability to express itself within the material world.” Robin clasped both hands behind his back as he slowly spoke. ”The body is merely a puppet fashioned from flesh and earth. Its role ends the instant it becomes separated from the soul, and nowhere is that truth more obvious than during death itself. Anyone who has ever stood before the corpse of someone they dearly loved immediately understands that the person lying before them is no longer the one they knew. That mass of flesh has already completed its purpose... while the individual they loved has already departed elsewhere.”

”....?”

Caesarʼs eyes slowly widened.

A faint white radiance flickered deep within his pupils once again before gradually fading.

Robin casually pointed toward Helen.

”But her soul remains perfectly intact. Itʼs simply imprisoned. Her body has also remained intact thanks to the preservation arrays surrounding it. All I needed to do was replenish her Life Vein while reactivating the neural signals throughout her body.” He spoke as though describing an ordinary everyday procedure rather than reversing what others had considered impossible. ”That process is already underway. With the assistance of the Master Law of Creation, itʼs actually a rather straightforward matter.”

”...” Robin briefly glanced toward Caesar before calmly turning away and walking toward Hydrasʼ crystal coffin instead.

”Well then...”

”Your turn.”

”Urgh...” Caesar rubbed both eyes vigorously before looking toward his father through the increasingly painful headache pressing against his temples. ”Can you do something about his condition? His nascent soul is no longer connected to his soul domain. Itʼs trapped inside.”

”I can see that.” Robin raised one eyebrow while quietly examining Hydras from head to toe. ”That rascal honestly looks possessed.”

Unlike Helen, Hydras wasnʼt peacefully asleep inside his crystal coffin.

He was staring directly into Robinʼs eyes.

Hidden beneath his thick hair, two empty, lifeless eyes remained fixed upon Robin with such unnatural stillness that the atmosphere around the coffin seemed to grow colder merely from meeting their gaze.

”Thatʼs putting it lightly.” Caesar replied quietly while continuing to massage his forehead. ”I couldnʼt properly study his condition while he kept sitting there staring at me with those unsettling eyes. Eventually I placed him inside a crystal coffin beside his sister and personally closed his eyelids.”

He let out a weary sigh before continuing. ”But as you can clearly see... He simply keeps opening them again.”

”His body is alive, and his soul domain remains intact and filled with units. Itʼs only natural that there would still be reactions. He can return a stare, eat, attack anyone who threatens him without hesitation, and respond to simple external stimuli... You could even make him perform certain actions through concentrated spiritual commands if your spiritual control is precise enough.” Robin smiled as he casually waved a hand toward Hydras. ”Right now, heʼs nothing more than a puppet running on autopilot, following the most primitive instincts and commands left behind inside him.” Then his smile deepened slightly. ”So... shall we let him regain control?”

”What exactly can you do in a situation like this?” Caesar asked, genuine curiosity mixing with disbelief. ”Has your understanding of souls already reached that level already?”

”...Honestly? No.” Robin answered with oddly unwavering confidence, not showing the slightest embarrassment. ”But Iʼm going to try something.”

Robin slowly brought his hand toward Hydrasʼ forehead and pointed at him.

An enormous tide of soul power rapidly enveloped his entire body, layer after layer, wrapping around him like an invisible cocoon.

BAAM!

Hydras suddenly convulsed and instinctively attempted to defend himself, causing part of the crystal coffin to explode outward under the violent backlash.

Unfortunately for him...

The soul power surrounding him was simply too overwhelming, even by his standards, suppressing every attempt at resistance before it could truly begin.

”Easy... easy...” Robin narrowed his eyes in intense concentration, the golden glow within them becoming brighter with every passing second as every strand of his perception focused entirely upon Hydrasʼ spiritual state.

At that exact moment—

Inside Hydrasʼ soul domain, something entirely different was unfolding.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

A brilliant white sphere of light shot through the vast spiritual space at astonishing speed, leaving pale trails behind it wherever it passed.

BAM! BAM!

It slammed into the distant walls of the soul domain several times every second, each violent collision sending tremors throughout the entire spiritual world as though the domain itself were shaking under the repeated impacts, while invisible ripples spread endlessly through the surrounding space.

Hummm...

At that moment...

An enormous number of glowing threads suddenly appeared from nowhere.

They immediately began weaving themselves together into an immense net with astonishing precision before slowly rising until it spread across the central region of the soul domain like a massive canopy suspended in midair.

Then...

It waited patiently, unmoving.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

BAM!

Barely three seconds later, the luminous sphere crashed directly into the net at full speed.

Instantly, the sphere attempted to change direction and flee elsewhere.

The net refused.

The countless threads immediately folded inward from every direction, sealing every possible path of escape without leaving even the smallest opening.

Within moments, the sphere had been completely trapped.

The massive net then dragged it downward while simultaneously embedding itself into the soul domain itself with slow but irresistible force.

Little by little...

The threads fused with the spiritual landscape until the entire net completely dissolved into the soul domain, permanently anchoring the glowing sphere against its surface as though it had always belonged there.

”Hmm.”

Robin smiled with quiet satisfaction before withdrawing his hand.

”Alright.”

”I simply used my power as a Ten-Star Soul Master to restore contact between his nascent soul and his soul domain. At the very least, they can recognize each other again.”

”Will that actually be enough?” Caesar asked, unable to hide the skepticism in his voice after observing everything that had just happened.

”Of course not.” Robin replied with a light chuckle, casually waving his hand. ”Itʼs like sewing an arm back onto someoneʼs shoulder. Structurally, itʼs attached again... but itʼs still dead. It wonʼt actually function without a little magic.”

He shrugged helplessly.

”Unfortunately... I havenʼt reached that particular kind of magic yet. It requires an extraordinarily advanced understanding of the soul—knowledge that I simply donʼt possess as a Ten-Star Soul Master no matter how talented I may be.”

Then he smiled.

Snap.

”But... I do have an idea.”

Hummm...

Six incredibly tiny Master Law symbols materialized above Hydrasʼ head, each one radiating an almost imperceptible aura.

They slowly descended toward his forehead before disappearing into it one after another without producing the slightest disturbance.

The very next instant...

Hydrasʼ resistance vanished completely.

The madness filling his vacant eyes gradually faded into stillness, and even the violent fluctuations surrounding his body became noticeably calmer.

”Youʼre making him a Candidate?!” Glatheon nearly burst into tears, his expression twisting with horror as countless thoughts flashed through his mind.

”Of course not.” Robin waved dismissively. ”Itʼs The True Way technique. That sun will now appear inside his soul domain. Itʼll calm his nascent soul and encourage it to...” He paused briefly before smiling. ”...think.”

Then he shrugged again.

”If the idea works, heʼll reconnect his own soul by himself without my direct interference.”

”And if it doesnʼt, Well... Heʼll simply have to wait for me a little longer until I understand souls more thoroughly.”

Robin clasped both hands behind his back before clapping once with a broad, satisfied smile.

”Excellent. Now we can finally discuss the logistics of assisting Lord Kiryan and Lord Zavaros. And if Iʼve forgotten anything...” He glanced toward Glatheon, ”...Glathy will remind us.”

”Heh~” Caesar let out a long sigh while continuing to massage his forehead, feeling as though the conversation alone had exhausted him, before turning toward the exit. ”Then letʼs continue this somewhere more comfortable. Staying in this gloomy place wonʼt help anyone think clearly, and weʼve already spent enough time among coffins.”

”Mmmm...”

”...?!”

All three of them instantly turned toward the source of the sound at exactly the same moment.

It had come...

From Helenʼs coffin.
