Lord of the Truth

Chapter 1170 1170: The Second

One Month Later – Northern Edge Mountain – Planet Spirit Domain

”Ugh..!!” Robin, in his silver soul avatar state, clutched his chest as a sharp pain surged through him. His breathing became ragged, and his vision blurred for a moment as he fought to regain his composure.

”Hey, are you okay? Your condition is getting worse,” Neri said, her voice laced with concern. She furrowed her brows and took a few cautious steps toward Robin, hesitating slightly. She didnʼt know what to do, but she could tell that whatever was happening to him wasnʼt normal.

”Iʼm fine... Iʼm fine... Donʼt worry,” Robin said between heavy breaths. ”Iʼm not sick or injured. Itʼs just the Omen of Truth acting up again.” He tapped his forehead a few times and shook his head as if trying to shake off the lingering dizziness. His fingers clenched into fists as he struggled to steady himself.

”You said that the last few times too, but you still havenʼt explained what exactly the Omen of Truth is,” Neri pressed, her curiosity overcoming her hesitation.

Robin exhaled slowly before responding, his expression growing darker. ”Itʼs… a terrible feeling I get whenever a disaster is about to strike. It doesnʼt come often, but when it does, I know something significant is about to happen. Every time I acted upon it and took precautions, things went relatively smoothly. I started treating it as a warning—a sign that I needed to prepare for something. There was one time when I ignored it... and Jura got burned for it. and my wife died in its flames.” His voice grew hoarse toward the end, and his eyes clouded over with painful memories.

Neri remained silent for a moment, watching him carefully. She had seen Robin in many states before—angry, focused, amused, exhausted—but rarely did he ever seem this... unsettled.

After a brief pause, she asked again, ”You told me this before, but I still donʼt understand. How does this ability of yours actually work?” She folded her arms and tilted her head slightly. ”Youʼve faced plenty of disasters before where it didnʼt activate—the last one being when the shard of the Impatient Womanʼs soul appeared. So what exactly triggers it? What does it indicate? And more importantly, how can you use it to your advantage? Whatʼs the point of having this ability if you donʼt even know whatʼs going to happen?”

She stepped closer, her gaze intense. ”If this thing is just a vague warning about misfortunes, then isnʼt your entire life one endless misfortune already? As a Planetary Conqueror and a Golden-Eyed Chosen, youʼre constantly walking into danger. Your existence is practically built on conflict and catastrophe!”

”I donʼt know!” Robin snapped, waving his hand in frustration. ”It comes and goes as it pleases, and I have no control over it! The All-Seeing God once told me that it might be a unique ability, but I donʼt know how to harness it, let alone manipulate it to my advantage. All I can do is take precautions when it appears.”

Neri let out a long sigh, placing her hands on her hips. ”Then? Are you going to take some precautions now? Youʼve been having these for six months, and they keep getting stronger. Ignoring them wonʼt make them disappear.”

Robin hesitated for a moment, then shook his head. ”What do you want me to do? The First Army is recovering under Peonʼs leadership. The Second Army is consuming corpses like madmen, strengthening themselves in their own way. The Third Army is being built at full speed and already have my full support. Even if I go out and warn everyone about an impending catastrophe, what more could they possibly do? Theyʼre already preparing as best they can.”

He ran a hand through his hair and exhaled. ”Instead of panicking, Iʼd rather keep focusing on what Iʼm doing now. Refining you will give me a massive power boost if trouble does come knocking at our door.”

Neriʼs lips curved into a knowing smile. ”Then by all means, continue,” she said, gesturing toward the massive planetary construct in front of them. ”Only one final push remains.”

Robin took a deep breath and closed his eyes, steadying himself. His heartbeat was still racing from the lingering effects of the Omen of Truth, but he forced himself to focus. A slow smile formed on his lips as he reached out toward the glowing construct before him.

”Neri… Nihari Planet… You are both mine now!”

Froooooooommm—!

The Nihari Planet construct erupted in a brilliant burst of light, sending a powerful wave of energy in all directions. The darkened world around them was illuminated for a brief moment, as if the universe itself had acknowledged the shift in ownership.

Then, just as quickly as it came, the light faded, and stillness returned.

Neri, now kneeling on both knees before Robin, lowered her head in deep reverence. A satisfied smile graced her lips as she spoke solemnly, her voice unwavering, ”Neri salutes the Master. From this moment forth, I shall remain your companion on the inevitable path to eternal glory!”

”Oh? Perhaps youʼll accompany me on the road to ruin.” Robin laughed loudly, his voice echoing through the chamber. His words carried an ominous weight, but his heart was pounding with exhilaration, like war drums signaling the arrival of a great battle. He had done it—he had officially claimed his second planet! The thrill of conquest surged through his veins, making his very soul tremble with anticipation.

Neri, standing beside him, smirked as she crossed her arms. ”If you canʼt achieve glory with me by your side, then we both deserve annihilation.” She chuckled, but her gaze was unwavering, intense. It wasnʼt a joke. She meant every word.

Robin met her stare for a brief moment before nodding several times. He didnʼt have time to argue with her logic, nor did he want to. Glory or destruction, victory or ruin—such outcomes were nothing new to him. He had no intention of wasting time debating their fate.

Taking a deep breath, he turned his attention back to the planetary construct before him. ”How are things outside now?” Without waiting for a response, he stepped forward, extending his hand toward the glowing construct. With a simple motion, he zoomed in on the planetʼs surface.

The sight that greeted him was one of absolute chaos.

The very land itself was convulsing. Earthquakes raged across every continent, splitting the ground open in massive fissures. Towering mountains trembled, and vast plains cracked under the violent shaking. Entire cities were being swallowed by the shifting earth, and above them, dark storm clouds churned in a relentless dance. Hurricane-force winds howled like vengeful spirits, twisting into monstrous cyclones that tore through the skies. The heavens themselves seemed to be collapsing.

Below, chaos reigned.

The people, once ignorant of the planetary upheaval, were now running for their lives. Screams filled the air as buildings crumbled and the land buckled beneath their feet. It was as if the apocalypse had arrived, a cataclysm that none could escape.

Neri stepped closer to Robinʼs side, watching his reaction carefully before explaining in a composed, almost amused voice. ”The earthquakes are happening because a portion of my buried resources is surfacing. The primal chaos that has recently entered my core is also being refined into new resources at this moment.” She gestured toward the landscape. ”Additionally, several springs have begun erupting across the planet, forming rivers of pure energy Essence. Soon, essence lakes will appear naturally. I heard from your soldiers that you painstakingly created small lakes in that place called Greenland using rain? That wonʼt be necessary with me. The very land itself will bloom with power.”

She then pointed upward toward the swirling mass of dark clouds. ”As for those storms, theyʼre the result of me drawing in an enormous quantity of primal chaos and converting it into natural energy. Soon, the sky will rain down liquid essence, saturating the land and every living creature with power beyond imagination. This process will take a few days, but once itʼs complete…” She smiled, her golden eyes gleaming. ”Youʼll find yourself standing on a completely different planet.”

Robin remained silent for a long moment, his eyes wide with astonishment.

He had expected changes. After all, a transformation like this was necessary to make Nihari truly his. But this? This was beyond what he had anticipated.

He had seen the effects of a massive energy infusion before—when Greenland underwent its transformation. But even then, it had barely begun to approach Nihariʼs natural energy density. He had been able to breathe in raw essence, a luxury he had never imagined possible.

But now, Nihari itself was undergoing an even greater metamorphosis?

Would the energy in the air become so dense it would take on a liquid form?

How would this affect the people living there?

And what about the resources Neri mentioned? If her buried treasures were only now beginning to surface, did that mean everything he had gathered until now was insignificant compared to what she could provide?

The possibilities made his blood surge with excitement, he can already see the future!

Robin suddenly grinned, his golden eyes shining with anticipation. ”Haha, this is exhilarating! I canʼt wait to see what youʼre capable of, Neri!” He clapped his hands together with a loud smack, his voice filled with enthusiasm. ”Iʼll return to my soul domain to observe the changes in there. I expect Iʼll be seeing you soon!”

Neri gave a knowing smile before bowing slightly. ”Of course.”

Woooosh!

In the blink of an eye, Robin disappeared.

The moment he was gone, the confident smirk on Neriʼs lips faded.

Then— Bam!

She collapsed onto her knees.

But this time, it wasnʼt out of reverence.

Her body was trembling violently. Her hands dug into the ground as she struggled to maintain control, her breath coming in ragged gasps. Her entire being was shaking. And she couldnʼt stop it.

------------

Inside Robinʼs Spiritual Domain—

Robinʼs soul avatar slowly opened his mouth and eyes. His golden irises gleamed in the dim space as he took in the shifting force around him.

He could only manage to utter one phrase, ”…Oh my.”
