Battle Through the Heavens: Beauties Abound Starting with Yunlan and Her Disciples

165: Section 165A long-lost sense of ease flowed through her heart like a warm current. ”Little Brother Xiancheng smells so nice.” Ya Fei thought to herself.

After a long while, Ya Fei asked softly, ”Besides coming to see me, is there anything else you plan to do this time?” ”Buy medicinal herbs.”

Yun Xiancheng said, handing over a prescription written by Medicine Lady, along with a black card. ”There’s a million gold coins inside. Use it as you see fit.”

”Since you’re my little brother, I should give you a discount...” Ya Fei had just begun to speak when she felt a sudden tightness around her waist. A warm palm had settled there. Through her silk garment, it transmitted a heart-fluttering pressure.

The memory of a baby tugging at her clothes ten years ago overlapped with the present moment. Almost as if bewitched, she reached out and caressed Yun Xiancheng’s cheek. The youth’s expression was serious. ”Business is business. Sister’s auction house is already quiet enough; how can I let you spend extra because of me?”

”It seems this sister owes you a favor then.” Ya Fei murmured. [Ya Fei Favorability +10, Current Favorability 40/100]

Ya Fei’s hand gently stroked his face. Just as she was about to withdraw it, the youth caught her fingertips and brought them to his lips for a light nibble. A tingling sensation shot up from her knuckles to her heart.

019 Physical Contact with Ya Fei

”Gathering all these materials might take some time...”

Suddenly, she was pulled closer by the youth, her sachet pendant pressing between their clothes. ”Little brother is so impatient, as if you want to pick and use them right away.”

Yun Xiancheng pulled her closer into his embrace, his nose brushing against the front of her dress. ”In truth, it’s this sister who is the rare treasure, making my mouth water with desire.”

As he spoke, his hand had already slid to the small of her back, measuring the soft, warm jade through her moon-white satin robe. To deal with such a sister, a strong, proactive approach was naturally required.

”Back to business. At the shortest, half a month; at the longest, one month. Can Little Brother Xiancheng wait that long?” ”Naturally, I can wait. I’ll be staying in Wutan City for another six months to a year.” Yun Xiancheng proactively held Ya Fei in his arms, their bodies close as they discussed business. ”Won’t this affect your cultivation?”

Ya Fei frowned slightly, pinching Yun Xiancheng’s ear.

”It won’t.” ”Nonsense.”

But the force Ya Fei used to pinch his earlobe felt more like a tickle. ”Wutan City’s spiritual energy is thin, how can it compare to the Cloud Mist Sect’s territory...”

Before she could finish, she was suddenly buried against a warm chest. The scent of sun-baked fur from the youth’s hair, mixed with a vibrant, vital energy, made her fingertips tremble.

Her face finally flushed slightly for a moment before she slowly looked up into the youth’s clear eyes. Then,

Yun Xiancheng buried his head between Ya Fei’s full peaks, experiencing a Beauty he couldn’t find on Xiao Mei or Yan Ran—a majesty of clustered peaks, surging waves, a path through mountains and rivers.

Inside the red silk canopy, a candle wick crackled and popped. Ya Fei’s body stiffened for a moment but quickly relaxed. Her fingertips traced the knobs of the youth’s spine, much like stroking a newly acquired jadeite abacus at the auction house.

”Don’t be foolish; cultivation is what’s important.” Ya Fei admonished like an elder sister.

Knowing Ya Fei genuinely cared about his cultivation, Yun Xiancheng felt another wave of sweetness in his heart. He pressed his nose against the red coral necklace resting on her collarbone, his exhaled breath startling the beads into a trembling dance.

”There’s an Alchemist in secluded cultivation here. I’m building a relationship with him.” ”An Alchemist?”

Hearing this, Ya Fei immediately understood something.

Although the Cloud Mist Sect also had Pill King Gu He in residence, he was busy refining pills all day. The share that trickled down to juniors wasn’t necessarily large.

And an Alchemist worthy of Yun Xiancheng’s efforts to curry favor with must be at least of the fourth or fifth tier. Getting private tutoring was far more comfortable than sharing Pill King Gu He’s ’communal pot’.

”I understand now. Little brother is fortunate.” However,

Ya Fei’s words also pointed out a problem: keeping Yan Ran locked in Wutan City might affect the outcome of the Three-Year Agreement. After all, the butterfly effect was hard to predict.

At the very least, if Yan Ran didn’t return to speak of the Three-Year Agreement, Yun Yun wouldn’t go to the Magical Beast Mountain Range for Yan Ran’s sake. Then, the carefully planned scenario to win over his beautiful master would fly right out the window.

But after enjoying a ’two-person combo’ with them, Yun Xiancheng didn’t want to go back to a ’single combo’.

At this moment, Yun Xiancheng’s head was still buried in Ya Fei’s chest. But in his heart, he had reached a judgment:

This ’two-person meal’ was a must. He had to have it.

”These medicinal herbs will cost approximately fifty-two thousand gold coins,” Ya Fei said.

”However, the corresponding materials aren’t available here in Wutan City. They need to be transported from other regions. Let this sister cover the shipping costs.” Then, she ruffled Yun Xiancheng’s hair and said,

”This sister can still afford this much.” Yun Xiancheng emerged from between the peaks and said:

”Then I thank you, sister. Could you also collect these materials?”

Yun Xiancheng handed over another list—the formula for the Foundation Establishment Elixir. ”These are cheaper ingredients.

Ya Fei looked at it. They were all low-level materials, unlike something a master would specially refine. Moreover, the priority of this list wasn’t high; he was only presenting it now...

Suddenly, an idea flashed in Ya Fei’s mind. She asked, ”Could it be that little brother has a talent for alchemy?”

”You could say that.” Yun Xiancheng nodded naturally. ”That’s wonderful news!”

Ya Fei was somewhat delighted. She grabbed the hem of Yun Xiancheng’s clothes and asked:

”Little Brother Xiancheng, how about staying to have dinner with your sister later?”

When a Beauty extends an invitation, naturally one should accept. However, keeping a Beauty in a golden carriage also meant he couldn’t leave Yan Ran and Xiao Mei waiting in the vehicle. Yun Xiancheng was momentarily stunned.

[Beep, it’s time to make a choice again.]

[Option One: Stay and have dinner with Ya Fei (Ya Fei’s favorability will increase!).] [Option Two: Go back and eat ’gaifan’ (Come on, eating at home is great!)] An option at a time like this!?

Faced with the choice, Yun Xiancheng was caught off guard. But having experienced it once before, he quickly calmed down.

”Since sister has invited me, how could I refuse?” Yun Xiancheng took both her hands in his, his face beaming with a smile as he said:

”However, Yan Ran has also come to Wutan City this time. I’ll go call her to join us. Let’s all eat together.”

Ya Fei had only heard of Yan Ran’s name, knowing she was currently Yun Xiancheng’s junior sister. Now that the master was away on a long journey, it was no surprise the junior sister was here too.

Now, it had to be said, these two Young Sect Leaders of the Cloud Mist Sect, spending all their time together, were probably a match made in heaven, a perfect pair of jade figures. She herself felt like an outsider.

Ya Fei’s heart tightened, but her expression remained one of smiling grace as she said:

”Ran is here too? Then please invite her over quickly. Let’s get acquainted. Perhaps we’ll be working together for many years to come.”

Yun Xiancheng nodded. ”Sister, wait for me a moment. I’ll be right back.” ”Come back soon.”

Yun Xiancheng turned and headed towards the Xiao Family.

”Huh? You’re saying... you went out once and ran into a big sister you knew as a child, and she warmly invited you to stay for dinner?”

Nalan Yanran’s fingertips pinched a celadon bowl, her knuckles turning white from the force.

The cold fragrance, like that of new snow and early mist, floated inside the carriage compartment, but it couldn’t suppress the thin sweat beading at her temples. She knew he was impressive.

But she truly hadn’t expected him to gain another ’red Yan’ just from one outing. This was too...

She picked up a piece of rose pastry and lightly tossed it at her lover. Yun Xiancheng deftly caught it in his mouth, pastry crumbs sticking to his clothes.

”I’m a bit worried. If this continues, you’ll have enjoyed all the ’pomegranate skirts’ in Wutan City!”

Xiao Mei was kneeling on a soft cushion, arranging bowls and chopsticks. Hearing this, her hand trembled. The silver chopsticks struck the bowl’s rim with a clear, crisp sound, and a jade spoon flew out. The young girl’s ear tips flushed as red as if about to drip blood—she was one of those ’pomegranate skirts’ of Wutan City who had been ’enjoyed’.

Though her thoughts were in disarray, she still hurriedly went to pick up the fallen jade spoon. The hem of her apricot-colored skirt brushed against the sole of Yun Xiancheng’s shoe.

Yun Xiancheng, quick-eyed and swift-handed, caught her by the waist and pulled the young girl into his embrace. He picked up a candied fruit with his fingertips and fed it to her. Being fed, the blushing girl asked:

”Go now? Should we call Sister Xiao Yan?”

What was Xiao Yan doing at this moment? She was cultivating.

”No need to disturb her. Right now, she’s at a critical juncture in her cultivation. We mustn’t interrupt.” Xiao Yan only needed to cultivate, but they had many more considerations when it came to eating, drinking, and having fun. ”Sigh, fine. This young lady is already used to it.”

Nalan Yanran quickly adjusted her mindset. Before her words had fully faded, she felt a coolness on her lips. It was Yun Xiancheng, who had somehow taken a bite of lotus seed cake and kissed her. Tasting the young girl’s sweet little tongue, he took advantage of her momentary daze to push the pastry into her mouth.

”You... that’s against the rules.” Nalan Yanran said, her face red:

”...and this time, it’s a sister six years older than you. If she joins us, we’ll definitely be able to defeat you.”

Hearing Yan Ran speak like this, Xiao Mei, who was now well-versed in matters of intimacy, blushed. Unconsciously, she leaned against Yun Xiancheng’s side, one hand resting on his chest.

Yun Xiancheng stretched out a long arm, wrapping Xiao Mei into his embrace. He captured her rouge-colored lips, and the moment his tongue pried open her pearly teeth, a silvery, bell-like sound escaped the young girl’s throat. Her peacock blue skirt swept over the green jade table, already coiling around the root of his tongue like a spiritual snake flicking its tongue.

His left arm swept out, pulling Yan Ran’s body closer, making her let out a delicate scold as her hand lightly patted Yun Xiancheng’s chest. Two strands of delicate fragrance intertwined at the tip of his nose—the young girls’ natural scents, intoxicating.

020 Three Women on Stage

”Good evening, Miss Yan Ran.”

Ya Fei had specially changed into a form-fitting dress with silver-threaded cloud patterns, the silk outlining breathtaking curves. Yet, she had deliberately adorned the front with a piece of white jade, covering half of her bosom, creating a Charm of Trying to cover up only makes things more obvious. ”I’ve long heard of the Young Sect Leader of the Cloud Mist Sect.” She picked up a green jade wine pot to pour wine for Nalan Yanran.

”Seeing you today, I now know you are a Beauty tempered with the soul of ice and snow.” ”Miter Ya Fei, hello.”

Nalan Yanran maintained a composed expression, returning the courtesy.

Her fingertips rubbed the patterns on her sword scabbard. Her gaze swept over the other party’s trembling, snow-like décolletage and paused. Then, she placed her sword horizontally on the table.

The dark iron scabbard reflected her still-developing figure, as if comparing jade to a sword sheath. The young girl snorted lightly through her nose and pinched the soft flesh on Yun Xiancheng’s lower back.

A lecher blinded by big breasts? Since I haven’t fully developed yet, I’ll pinch you first. Xiao Mei, who was holding a plate to serve dishes, chuckled at the sight.

She had specially chosen a peacock blue High-waisted glutinous rice skirt today. A pomegranate seed-like agate chain hung between her snowy peaks, swaying with an enticing arc as she laughed.

Feeling Yan Ran’s behave in a spoiled manner-like action, Yun Xiancheng nodded, his expression unchanged. ”This is Xiao Mei, a young lady of the Xiao Family.”

Ya Fei’s fingertips traced the rim of a celadon cup. Her form-fitting dress refracted cold light in the candlelight. ”So it’s Little Sister from the Xiao Family.” She lightly grasped Xiao Mei’s hand.

”I’ve long heard of Little Sister Xiao Mei. Meeting you today, Ya Fei is somewhat surprised. Why aren’t you wearing the flamboyant, brightly colored clothes you usually do, opting instead for this simple peacock blue attire?”

Xiao Mei’s reputation wasn’t actually very good in Ya Fei’s eyes.

Xiao Mei had mocked Xiao Yan after she became a cripple. Such behavior was a point of deduction for Ya Fei. Why choose her?

Could it be that Little Brother Xiancheng... is a Yan控?

After all, Xiao Mei’s personality was lacking, but she was still cute. Xiao Mei abruptly withdrew her hand, her earrings swaying wildly by her cheeks.

She most feared others bringing up past events. At this moment, her nails almost dug into Yun Xiancheng’s palm.

But the youth instead enveloped her small hand in his and pulled her whole body into his embrace. Holding her in this position, he scooped a spoonful of chilled honeyed wine and fed it to her. ”Sister’s words are biased.”

Xiao Mei obediently accepted Yun Xiancheng’s feeding, like a cute pet. ”The current Rose of the Xiao Family...”

Hearing Yun Xiancheng’s reply, the young girl’s gaze still held a trace of guilt.

”...has already been cleansed of her Lead by me.” Yun Xiancheng said with a smile to Ya Fei. Ya Fei’s eyebrows raised slightly.

She unhurriedly served dishes for Nalan Yanran, the tip of an ivory chopstick pointing at a shrimp.

”Coincidentally, sister acquired an interesting thing some time ago—a songbird kept in a golden cage. This songbird was raised so well, yet the day before yesterday, it pecked at its jade food bowl to snatch wild grains.”

”Before it pecked the jade bowl, how could you know this bird couldn’t be tamed? In sister’s opinion, shouldn’t such an untamable bird have its wings clipped?”

Xiao Mei’s eyes reddened, the fingertips clutching her skirt turning white. Every word from Ya Fei struck a chord in her heart. Yun Xiancheng wanted to speak, but she tugged at his clothes, seeming to have something to say.

”Sister Ya Fei is absolutely right. An untamable bird should have its wings clipped, to peacefully remain a decoration in its cage.” Xiao Mei said this to Ya Fei.

Yan Ran frowned slightly, defending Xiao Mei:

”Clipping a bird’s wings because it might peck jade is too cruel.”

”The bird hasn’t actually committed the offense. One cannot blame someone for a mere possibility.” Hearing that Yan Ran was also defending Xiao Mei, Ya Fei stopped applying pressure.

She could also see Xiao Mei’s sincere remorse. Coupled with Yan Ran providing a way out, she understood the current situation.

After all, it was impossible for both Young Sect Leaders of the Cloud Mist Sect to be blind and mistaken about a person. Ya Fei moved closer to Xiao Mei, taking both her hands warmly and saying,

”It was sister who didn’t recognize the bird. Mei’er, please blame this sister.” Then she said to Yun Xiancheng:

”Little Brother Xiancheng really has good Romantic fortune, coming to Wutan City and plucking our city’s most tender and beautiful rose.” Hearing Ya Fei speak like this, Xiao Mei nodded:

”Sister Ya Fei was just worried that Brother Xiancheng might have entrusted himself to the wrong person. Mei’er understands.”

”Three years ago, Mei’er truly had a bad heart. If I hadn’t met Brother Xiancheng, I wouldn’t have awakened.” Hearing this,

Yun Xiancheng rubbed Xiao Mei’s cheeks.

”I’ve already mediated the relationship between Xiao Yan and Xiao Mei. Xiao Yan is quite magnanimous; she forgave Xiao Mei after she admitted her mistake.”

”Xiao Yan is also a talented genius. It’s just a pity her fate has been Many misfortunes.”

Ya Fei sighed, then picked up a piece of spare rib and placed it into Yun Xiancheng’s mouth.

”She will awaken again very soon.” Yun Xiancheng said with full confidence.

”Little brother really has such good Romantic fortune. I’m afraid all the Beauties of the Xiao Family are destined for your boudoir.” Ya Fei gave a light laugh:

”Then when will you pluck this sister, this Delicate Flower?”

”This sister’s Delicate Flower, this little brother is always ready.”

Yun Xiancheng replied with equal force. Ya Fei’s cheeks then flushed slightly.
