Battle Through the Heavens: Beauties Abound Starting with Yunlan and Her Disciples

16: Section 16Yun Xiancheng hugged Ya Fei. She did not refuse, returning the embrace instead.

”Actually, I’m waiting for an auspicious day.” She lightly bit her lip.

”After all... this is an important day.”

Hearing this, Yun Xiancheng kissed her. ”I can wait for you.”

Sixty-five favorability seemed to be right in the middle of a hesitant state.

Yun Xiancheng thought to himself that, of course, it also depended on the person. The more reserved a person was, the higher the favorability and intimacy required. To have such a reserved Beauty belong to him forever would truly be one of life’s greatest joys.

After a while, a maid’s voice came from outside the door. ”A black-robed Alchemist is asking for an audience.”

Hearing this, Yun Xiancheng knew it was likely Xiao Yan.

He had asked Medicine Lady to find time to refine a bottle of Foundation Establishment Elixir to sell at the auction, and now she had arrived.

027 The First Pot of Gold

”Old Mister, the appraisal results for your medicinal pill are out. It is indeed at the level of a Tier 2 medicinal pill, and it can indeed be used by those at the Dou Zhi Qi stage.”

Ya Fei solemnly held the jade bottle containing the Foundation Establishment Elixir and placed it before Xiao Yan. Xiao Yan was draped in a black robe, hiding her face within it.

Medicine Lady spoke in an aged voice, ”Then arrange the auction quickly.”

”Certainly, Old Mister. Our auction will begin shortly. If you are willing, please wait over here for now.” After saying this, Ya Fei moved to lead Xiao Yan toward a private booth in the auction house.

Xiao Yan was stunned for a moment, but since her Senior Brother had recommended they come here, he clearly wouldn’t harm them. She stood up and followed Ya Fei into the booth.

Someone was already sitting in the booth. Because no candles were lit, it was quite dim, making it impossible to see his face. Sensing someone’s arrival, he stood up and spoke:

”Hello.”

The voice was very familiar to Xiao Yan. Wasn’t this her Senior Brother’s voice?

Ya Fei lit the candles in the room, and the light revealed Yun Xiancheng’s face. ”I hope you can be patient, Old Mister. This gentleman specifically asked to meet you.”

Ya Fei bowed to Xiao Yan in apology. ”No matter.”

Medicine Lady looked helplessly at her smiling, good Disciple and spoke. Ya Fei soon left, as she was about to go on stage to host the auction.

Once only Xiao Yan and Yun Xiancheng were left in the room, the atmosphere was cold for a few seconds.

”Junior Sister, Master, this place is essentially our territory. There’s no need to worry about eavesdropping or such methods.” Yun Xiancheng was the first to break the silence.

”So you’ve been acting so mysteriously lately because you were busy hooking up with the beautiful auctioneer of the auction house.”

Medicine Lady spoke slowly, and an ice lotus landed in Yun Xiancheng’s hand. On the ice lotus appeared a ten-centimeter-tall Loli Master. The tiny Loli Master sat on Yun Xiancheng’s shoulder.

She was stunned for a moment before saying slowly, ”The view is much higher than from Yaner’s perspective.” She then gave a light cough.

”What, are you using the pills your Master refined to help your auctioneer lady boost her performance?”

”I’m doing this to solve Yaner’s wallet problem,” Yun Xiancheng explained.

”And incidentally boosting my auctioneer lady’s performance.” ”You lustful brat. You’ve certainly managed things quite neatly.” The tiny Medicine Lady jumped up and pinched Yun Xiancheng’s ear.

However, her small hands couldn’t exert much force. She hung floating in mid-air until Yun Xiancheng caught her and placed her back on the lotus platform.

At some point, Xiao Yan had already sat down beside Yun Xiancheng, her hand unconsciously wrapping around his arm. Hearing this, she asked:

”Is that sister also Xiao Yan’s sister?”

Hah! That’s more like it. Yanran was a jealous brat at first and took a long time to train before she accepted it, but Xiao Yan is much more sensible. ”That’s right, we’re all one family.”

Yun Xiancheng pinched the girl’s nose again. It felt quite nice.

The three of them played around for a while until they saw Ya Fei slowly enter the auction hall wearing a long white dress. At a glance, she looked like a cluster of Suxue Ice Orchids. There were quite a few people in the auction house now; the heads of Wutan City’s three major families had all arrived. Needless to say, they were definitely here for the Black-rank High-grade Cultivation Method.

”Thank you all for coming to this auction. Today’s auction has collected many treasures, so please allow Ya Fei to present them to you.” Since Ya Fei was dressed simply and did not show off her figure, the guests at the auction all looked serious. Few were looking at her; they were calculating how much cash they could produce, clearly here for business.

The auction naturally progressed from small items to large ones. The items at the beginning were cheap goods, and the bidders were middle-class nouveau riche or mercenary groups.

”The next item is Blood Coagulation Powder. According to our tests, the healing effect of this Blood Coagulation Powder exceeds the healing medicines currently on the market by about fifty percent.”

Ya Fei displayed twenty boxes of the Blood Coagulation Powder that Yun Xiancheng had refined lately and introduced their effects. Each box contained five bottles.

”The starting price for twenty boxes is five thousand gold coins.”

Healing medicine naturally caught the attention of the mercenaries who lived on the edge of a blade.

Notably, when the head of the Jiale Family heard this, he also felt a bit of a headache. Had a new Alchemist come to Wutan City?

It would be terrible if it affected the Jiale Family’s market layout.

Being fifty percent better than the healing medicine on the market meant many things. ”Nine thousand five hundred!”

”Ten thousand!” ”Twelve thousand!”

”Blood Wolf, don’t raise the price on purpose!” ”Bullshit, I need this!”

A group of mercenaries kept raising the price, quickly pulling it up to fifteen thousand gold coins. Once it passed fifteen thousand, the speed at which these mercenaries added to the price slowed down significantly.

Meanwhile, insults flew back and forth. It was quite the spectacle of an auction.

In the end, they still cared about cost-effectiveness. One hundred and fifty gold coins per bottle of healing medicine was a bit expensive, but still within an acceptable range. ”Twenty thousand gold coins!”

The bidder was a mercenary wearing an unfamiliar badge. At this point, the unit price of the healing medicine soared to two hundred gold coins per bottle. ”The badge of this mercenary group is a bit unfamiliar.”

Ya Fei, standing on the stage, looked at that person and thought to herself, though she still maintained a professional smile as she hosted the auction.

The intervention of the unknown mercenary group caused the auction price of the Blood Coagulation Powder to continue rising. Soon, it reached thirty thousand gold coins.

At this point, the mercenaries were already reaching their limits and gave up one after another, allowing the unknown mercenary group to take the Blood Coagulation Powder.

In the booth, Yun Xiancheng felt a bit happy seeing the cheap pills he had refined on a whim sell for thirty thousand gold coins. ”The profit for an Alchemist exceeds 1000%. With this kind of profit... I don’t even have to sell the rope to hang myself. This is too comfortable.” Seeing Yun Xiancheng’s expression, the tiny Medicine Lady shook her head helplessly:

”To think you’re a Disciple of the Cloud Mist Sect, getting this happy over thirty thousand gold coins.” Yun Xiancheng explained:

”This is the first pot of gold I earned myself; it has sentimental value.” ”Thirty thousand gold coins is just pocket change.”

Medicine Lady didn’t care for such small change at all.

At this time, a maid brought a tray of peanut snacks.

Yun Xiancheng picked up a peanut and fed it to the tiny Medicine Lady on his shoulder.

”Master, you should eat more peanuts. Just treat me as someone who hasn’t seen much of the world...”

The peanut was about a third the size of the tiny Medicine Lady. She was immediately knocked over by the peanut, falling onto Yun Xiancheng’s shoulder.

Seeing her Master’s greedy eating, Xiao Yan also picked up a handkerchief, covered her small mouth, and laughed softly. ”You two rebellious Disciples!”

Pinned down by the peanut, the tiny Medicine Lady struggled to climb back up, then took a small bite of the peanut. ”Mmm, such a nostalgic taste.”

She then jumped up again, grabbed Yun Xiancheng’s ear, and swung back and forth on it.

The three of them played in the booth while Ya Fei on stage did her best to promote the products.

Unfortunately, a reserved and conservative auctioneer couldn’t stir up the bidders’ emotions or get them to spend more money.

However, having met her Young Master, Ya Fei’s mindset was much better than before. At least she didn’t host the auction with a sour face, so every item sold and she didn’t have to worry about anything failing to sell.

”The next item is a rather interesting medicinal pill.”

Ya Fei brought out the Foundation Establishment Elixir and said to the crowd below with a faint smile:

”This was brought by a mysterious Alchemist. It’s a Tier 2 medicinal pill that can accelerate the cultivation of youngsters at the Dou Zhi Qi stage.” After stating the main selling point of the Foundation Establishment Elixir, Ya Fei continued:

”As you know, one cannot use medicinal pills to aid cultivation during the Dou Zhi Qi stage, so one can only rely on slow, painstaking effort, often taking over a decade to reach the level of a Dou Practitioner.”

”But that is too slow. Being one step behind means being behind at every step of cultivation. If one can reach the Dou Practitioner level a year or two early, it will be beneficial for the child’s future.”

As soon as these words were spoken, interest was sparked in the eyes of some bidders who had talented descendants. ”Starting price, eight thousand gold coins!”

028 Sister Ya Fei Should Be Our Family’s Accountant

The auction of the Foundation Establishment Elixir did not exceed Yun Xiancheng’s expectations; everything proceeded as in the original story. In the end, it was purchased by the head of the Xiao Family, Xiao Zhan, for forty thousand gold coins, leaving Xiao Yan, who was watching the scene, stunned. She hadn’t expected to end up scamming her own father.

”My father-in-law probably bought it for you,” Yun Xiancheng said.

”I can’t let my father down. I must continue to double my cultivation efforts when I go back!”

Xiao Yan leaned on Yun Xiancheng’s shoulder and said very seriously, ”I will strive to reach the Dou Qi Seventh Stage before the clan competition.”

Yun Xiancheng rubbed the girl’s small nose and said, ”Why only the seventh stage?”

The girl had the Foundation Establishment Elixir and the medicinal supplies he had given as an apology; she should reach at least the Dou Qi Eighth Stage. ”You must reach at least the eighth stage. Master, you must keep an eye on Xiao Yan and not let her slack off.”

”You’re not in a position to say that, are you? When have I ever seen you cultivate?” Medicine Lady rolled her eyes.

”Then, Senior Brother... won’t your cultivation be delayed?”

”Of course it will. I don’t have the resource support from the Cloud Mist Sect here,” Yun Xiancheng said frankly.

”So how does Little Junior Sister plan to compensate her Senior Brother?”

Xiao Yan’s face turned red, but she knew what Yun Xiancheng said was true. ”Junior Sister has nothing to give.”

She thought about it; she really didn’t have anything! ”Little dummy, you still have yourself.”

Yun Xiancheng rubbed the girl’s cheek and said, ”My future wife.”

At these words, Xiao Yan’s face turned beet red. She buried her head in Yun Xiancheng’s back and stopped speaking. Tiny Medicine Lady had already finished most of the peanuts by now. Hearing this, she was half-annoyed.

”What, are my two Disciples going to get together? Wait, they do have a wedding planned, the Three-Year Agreement, tsk tsk. Young people really know how to play.”

Medicine Lady paused, as if realizing she was the outsider. She then awkwardly ate her peanuts.

Master Medicine Lady was a bit better than Master Yun Yun; at least she knew her Disciples might get together at any time. Yun Yun still didn’t know that her two Disciples had already reached the heights of bliss together many times.

The shy little Disciple she fantasized about in her chambers had long since been ridden by her unfilial Disciple Yanran.

The auction process was much the same as Yun Xiancheng knew. The Black-rank High-grade Cultivation Method caused a struggle among the wealthy merchants, eventually reaching a high price of five hundred and fifty thousand gold coins.

”It’s almost over. Do you want to stay for dinner?”

”Forget it, Xiao Yan needs to rush back to cultivate. You rebellious Disciple, you’re idle all day; you’re not allowed to lead Yaner astray.” Tiny Medicine Lady rejected Yun Xiancheng’s dinner invitation.

”Alright then, see you next time, Master, Junior Sister~”

After the auction ended, Ya Fei entered the booth holding two cards.

”Old Mister, this is the Mittel Family VIP card. With this card, you can enjoy the privilege of having the commission fee reduced from five percent to two percent at all Mittel Auction Houses within the empire.”

”And your Foundation Establishment Elixir sold for forty thousand gold coins this time. The commission fee is eight hundred gold coins, and the rest of the money is in this card.” ”Mhm.”

Medicine Lady’s voice still sounded mysterious. ”Goodbye, Senior.”

Yun Xiancheng said to her respectfully.

”Not bad, you two are quite to my liking.” Medicine Lady said no more, took the money, and left.

”This... is Little Brother Xiancheng’s Alchemist Master?”

Only after they were far away did Ya Fei whisper. ”Mhm, she’s very powerful.”

Yun Xiancheng couldn’t help but praise his Loli Master. ”Alchemists are never simple people.”

Ya Fei nodded in deep agreement, then hugged Yun Xiancheng.

”The first auction after Little Brother Xiancheng came to see me has ended successfully!”

”The transaction turnover was nearly a million, and the profit was nearly ten thousand, which is equal to ten months of profit margin in the past.” ”Little brother is my lucky star!”

Yun Xiancheng’s face was squeezed between two soft masses. He took a deep breath, smelling the rich scent of Suxue Ice Orchid on Ya Fei. ”This is little brother’s money.”

As she spoke, she took out a card. ”No need, Sister should just keep it.”

Yun Xiancheng smiled slightly. Instead of taking the card, he took her fair wrist and said:

”We’re all one family. Sister is so capable; you should manage the accounts for our family in the future!” Hearing this, Ya Fei’s face turned red.

[Ya Fei’s favorability +5, current favorability 70/100]. Did this sentence pierce through her heart’s defenses?

”You, you look like you don’t care about money. It’s not bad for Sister to manage the accounts for our family.” Ya Fei took out a small notebook and wrote something on it.
