Global Wasteland: Rewards Unlimited Critical Strike

Chapter 38 Rescue Operation

Chapter 38 Rescue Operation
Su Can relied on his perception skills to discover the territory surrounded by wild beasts from a distance.

There should also be an investigative survivor in the search and rescue team in the green territory. Not long after Su Can found the target, a survivor in the team came to Zhang Heng’s side and whispered a few words.

Su Can used her perception skills to hear clearly.

The news reported was the discovery of a survivor’s territory surrounded by wild beasts, but there was other information.

The team member also asked Zhang Heng for his opinion.

What should we do with Su Can?

Zhang Heng’s answer is to observe first.

This choice actually allowed them to live a little longer.

After listening to the report, Zhang Heng came to Su Can with a fake smile on his face and said.

”Brother Xingchen, we found a territory surrounded by wild beasts ahead.”

”The purpose of our Green Leaf Survivor Territory is to rescue compatriots, so we plan to go to the rescue.”

Having said this, Zhang Heng did not continue.

Su Can understands that it is up to her to make up her own mind.

”Since we are compatriots, I can’t just ignore death, let’s go together.” Su Can said righteously.

Su Can’s answer stunned Zhang Heng for a moment.

Along the way, Su Can followed behind the team, and he didn’t make a move if he could. He didn’t look like a helpful person.

It was precisely in this way that Zhang Heng made the wrong judgment.

I originally thought that Su Can would not get involved in this matter, but now.

”Brother Xingchen, maybe you don’t know. According to the intelligence brother, there are close to a hundred beasts over there, and most of them are second-level or even third-level beasts.” Zhang Heng thought for a while and continued to persuade.

”Our team is proficient in the combined formation, but we can barely handle it. I’m afraid we won’t be able to spare you to protect you.”

Tier [-] and Tier [-] beasts are currently the most numerous and the most threatening beasts to survivors.

When Zhang Heng said this, it was obvious that he wanted Su Can to retreat.

How could Su Can let them get their wish?
After Zhang Heng finished speaking, Su Can’s expression changed, he folded his hands behind his back, looked up at the sky, and said coldly.

”I, Su Xingchen, have never been afraid in my life. Let alone a few beasts, even if Chen Fugui came today, I have no fear at all!”

Zhang Heng thought that Su Can was trying to save face, but he didn’t know that Su Can was telling the truth.

”Okay, take care of yourself for a while, and don’t be too aggressive.” Zhang Heng said helplessly, shaking his head.

Su Can didn’t take any action along the way. Zhang Heng didn’t dare to take action rashly when he couldn’t be sure of Su Can’s strength.

”Everyone will deal with the beast with all our strength for a while, don’t worry about his life or death.” Zhang Heng quietly sent a message to the rest of the team to remind him.

It didn’t take long to come to the besieged territory.

Su Can really opened his eyes.

This was the first time that so many beasts were dispatched at the same time.

Through perception, Su Can can be sure that the number of beasts surrounding the entire territory is definitely more than one hundred. Zhang Heng is not lying about this.

When they arrived on the battlefield, everyone took out their weapons and immediately joined the battle.

The weapon Zhang Heng used was a long metal stick, which was powerful and mighty when danced. Even a Tier [-] beast could be killed with just a few hits.

The other members of the search and rescue team also showed their talents and joined in the hunt.

Su Can, on the other hand, observed everyone calmly.

After scanning the entire battlefield, Su Can found that although there were a large number of people in this group, they really did not pose any threat to him.

There were 7 people in this team, most of them were still armed with white weapons, and their lethality was very average.

It was only through that wonderful combined attack formation that he could face off against second- and third-level beasts.

There were only three people who really threatened him.

The iron rod in Captain Zhang Heng’s hand was shining with blue light. It should be a rare blue weapon. A full attack can cause a certain amount of damage to himself.

As for the remaining two weapons, they are the two long-range weapons in the team.

Originally, Su Can thought they were two bows and arrows. Only then did Su Can see clearly that they were two crossbow arrows.

Judging from the light of the crossbow, it should be a green weapon.

Even though it was just a green weapon, an arrow shot out, hitting the vitals of a Tier [-] beast, would also cause it to lose its combat effectiveness, which shows its power.

Bows and crossbows, although there is only one word difference, in fact, the difference is very large.

Bows and arrows require manual shooting and manual aiming, which places very high requirements on the user’s arm strength and proficiency.

Crossbow bolts are different, requiring simple aiming.

Moreover, these two crossbows are actually continuous firing crossbows.

Although Su Can was wearing blue armor, his eyelashes and the joints of his limbs were not protected. Once he was hit, it would cause great danger.

Su Can paddling here was naturally noticed by Zhang Heng.

However, Su Can hasn’t agreed to join the territory yet, so he can’t be regarded as an official team member, and Zhang Heng can’t say anything, so he turns a blind eye.

The entire Green Leaf Search and Rescue team took a steady approach, and they were not in a hurry. The team was distributed in a fan shape and slowly moved towards the middle.

This tactic is safer, but of course, the efficiency is not high.

Su Can took advantage of their tactics, improved them, and adopted supplement tactics.

Su Can held the blue dagger in his hand and walked on the edge of the battlefield.

Once he sees the endangered beast hit by the crossbow arrows, Su Can will step forward at lightning speed and make up the knife decisively.

After putting away the loot, Su Can whistled and went to the next target, as if nothing happened.

The team members were busy fighting, so they had no choice but to swallow their breath for the time being in response to his behavior.

Everyone worked together, and after two hours of hard work, they finally cleaned up all the wild beasts around the territory.

Seeing that the situation was not right, the remaining few beasts had already fled.

After completely cleaning the battlefield, Zhang Heng led the crowd to the gate of the territory.

”We are the Green Leaf Search and Rescue Team. All the beasts outside the territory have been cleaned up. You are safe.” Zhang Heng stood at the gate of the territory and shouted loudly.

Zhang Heng called for a long time, but no one in the territory responded.

”Did the survivors of the territory get out?” Zhang Heng said to himself.

Su Can naturally doesn’t need to be so troublesome.

Once the perception skill is turned on, the situation in the territory can be seen at a glance.

”Someone!”

”One, two...”

”No, that is!” Su Can was a little surprised, the situation was more complicated than he imagined.

Zhang Heng’s call was not without effect.

After waiting for a while, a middle-aged woman finally came to the gate of the territory in a panic.

When the woman saw that there were so many people in Su Can’s group, she suddenly showed fear and said, ”Thank you heroes for helping us drive away the wild beasts, but our territory is small, so we won’t greet you big brothers. Thank you very much.”

After the woman finished speaking, the members of the Green Leaf Search and Rescue Team immediately looked angry.

Su Can knew the truth, but looked indifferent.

If you don’t enter the territory, you will save a lot of trouble.

”Everyone has worked so hard and risked their lives to rescue you. Don’t you even have a sip of water?” The big man Peng Liang angrily scolded.

At this time, a little girl ran to the side of the woman.

She had an innocent smile on her face, shaking the woman’s arm, and said coquettishly.

”Mom, mom, uncles are working so hard, let them come in and drink water!”

After the little girl finished speaking, the woman looked embarrassed.

But everyone in the team booed and said: ”A person who is dozens of years old is not as sensible as your daughter.”

”Learn more from your daughter.”

Su Can looked at it for a long time, sighed, and whispered in Zhang Heng’s ear.

”They are orphans and widows, let’s forget it and continue on their way.”

　Happy Tanabata everyone!
