Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 953 - 432: Stairway Trial

After months of effort, the trial system simulating the ”Chaos Ladder” was finally constructed.

David decided to first experiment on himself and a few trusted people like Aria to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the trial.

On the day of the experiment, David and Aria stood at the entrance of the trial, both nervous and expectant in their hearts.

As the peace in the Dark World became more stable, Lianna, a young female Warrior with the Heart of Light, began to feel an unprecedented calling.

In her dreams, she repeatedly saw a radiant ladder, each step emitting warm and powerful Light Power, guiding her to climb towards the unknown heights.

Upon waking, Lianna understood that this was no ordinary dream, but a mysterious guidance.

The trial of the Tier of Light, a trial said to awaken the purest power within a warrior and even sever all energy links in the world.

Before setting off on her journey towards the Tier of Light, Lianna faced an unprecedented challenge—her inner fears and unease began to take shape, forming powerful heart demons.

These heart demons stemmed from her past combat experiences; each failure, each pain of losing a comrade, became part of the heart demon, attempting to stop her from moving forward.

Lianna knew that if she didn’t overcome these heart demons, she wouldn’t truly step onto the Tier of Light, let alone complete the trial.

Thus, Lianna began a tough inner journey.

She delved deep into her memories, confronting each heart demon, dissolving them with courage, love, and persistence.

During this process, she learned to forgive herself for past mistakes and cherished those valuable memories lost due to battle.

Gradually, the power of the heart demons began to weaken, and Lianna’s heart became stronger and filled with light.

When Lianna finally overcame all her heart demons, ready to step onto the Tier of Light, she discovered the ladder was not as easy to climb as in her dreams.

Each step was filled with tests and trials, from simple Magic Array puzzles to complex combat challenges, and even deep philosophical introspection, each step required her to showcase different abilities and wisdom.

Lianna didn’t hesitate; she climbed step by step, relying on her firm belief and unyielding will.

In this process, she gradually felt the powerful force contained in the Tier of Light; this force not only came from exterior light but also originated from the purity and resilience within her.

When Lianna climbed to the mid-section of the Tier of Light, she encountered a Holy Sword sleeping in the radiance.

This sword emitted dazzling light, seemingly able to cut through all darkness and evil in the world.

Lianna felt a mysterious connection between herself and the sword; she reached out and gently touched its blade.

At that moment, the Holy Sword seemed awakened, bursting with even more brilliant light.

Meanwhile, a powerful force surged into Lianna’s body, merging with her original Power of Light, forming a new, unprecedented power.

Lianna was surprised to find that she could perceive the flow and links of all surrounding energies and even manipulate them with her mind.

With the awakening of the Holy Sword, Lianna also awakened her Holy Light Sword Skills.

This is a sword skill capable of severing all energy links in the world, whether magic energy, physical links, or mental constraints; none can escape the edge of the Holy Sword.

Lianna began attempting to use this sword skill, cutting through the energy links obstructing her progress in the trial.

Each swing of the sword was accompanied by dazzling light and waves of energy.

Those seemingly indestructible Magic Arrays, complex mechanisms, and inner fears and unease all crumbled under the edge of the Holy Sword.

Lianna felt an unprecedented freedom and power, knowing she had taken an important step toward becoming a true warrior.

After days of grueling ascent and trial challenges, Lianna finally reached the summit of the Tier of Light.

This place was filled with light and hope and was the source of the Power of Light.

Here, Lianna had to face the deepest fears and unease within her—the King of Heart Demons that had caused her to stumble numerous times.

Facing this formidable foe, Lianna showed no fear or hesitation.

She gripped the Holy Sword tightly, gathered all her Power of Light, and launched the final attack against the King of Heart Demons.

After an intense battle and internal struggle, Lianna finally severed the energy link between the King of Heart Demons and herself with the Holy Sword, completely defeating it.

With the retreat of the King of Heart Demons, Lianna felt an unprecedented Power of Light pouring into her body.

This power not only greatly enhanced her strength but also made her heart purer and more resilient.

She realized she had truly awakened her Heart of Light, becoming the true inheritor of the Power of Light.

Simultaneously, Lianna understood the true meaning of the trial of the Tier of Light—it is not only a test and challenge of a warrior’s abilities but also a call and awakening to the light and hope within.

Only warriors with firm belief and unyielding will can pass the trial and become true Light Guardians.

...

While Lianna became the Light Guardian of the Dark World, another warrior Nova also received a summons from an ancient prophecy—the trial of the Tier of Balance.

Unlike the Tier of Light, the Tier of Balance symbolizes the perfect fusion of light and dark, good and evil, life and death; it requires the Trial Taker to possess not only extraordinary power but also the wisdom to perceive the essence of the world and master the way of balance.
