Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 358: Chapter 160: Vampire Bloodline!_6

This is already somewhat similar to the power that only divine spirits and devil demons can harness, yet through the Sacrificial Spirit, he can master this power ahead of time!

This two-way communication has given him more assistance in his cultivation.

He can thereby start establishing his own sacrificial network, forming spiritual connections with those willing to sacrifice for him.

They gain the power or abilities they need through sacrifice, while he enhances his own strength and influence through feedback.

He might even gather the Power of Faith in this way, preparing for his future exploration of divine power, and possibly even embarking on the path of a divine spirit!

However, now is not the time to do these things.

After carefully sensing his power, David bid farewell to the ladies and detoured from the Western Territory to the Southern Territory, planning to check out the specific situation.

...

The city on the border of the Silver Moon Royal Capital and the Southern Territory.

David met the weary Saintess in the Holy Light Church.

”Lord Duke, once again, we must ask for your help,” she said.

David nodded, ”Tell me what’s going on. As long as I can help, I certainly will help you.”

His eyes were intense, without hiding his concern and affection.

Lucia awkwardly lowered her head, nodding slightly, ”Thank you, Lord Duke.” She then proceeded to relay the information she had received.

This time, it was mainly the Burning Sect within the Dark Sect operating in the Southern Territory. They worship the Burning Demon, mastering the evil demon flame, and through the sacrificial ritual, they can summon the Burning Demon into this world.

”Burning Sect?” David narrowed his eyes.

This name obviously relates to flames, and he sensed that the Burning Sect was surely targeting the Flame Barrier and the heritage of those Flame Mages.

In this case, regardless of the reason, he must stop the actions of the Burning Sect and eliminate their followers.

After obtaining more precise information, David and Lucia led a team of Holy Light Knights to the Flame Fortress.

This once-prosperous city has now become desolate, with a large number of civilians already having left the fortress for the neighboring kingdom.

Although the smoke of gunpowder had dissipated by now, a faint scorching sensation still lingered in the air.

Surrounding the fortress was a patch of charred land, evidence of past raging fires, with mottled marks visible on the walls.

David and Lucia stood before the fortress, their eyes scanning the ruined defensive structures and collapsed towers.

The once-towering city walls were now filled with cracks, and in some places had even collapsed, revealing the internal structure.

The main gate of the fortress was dilapidated, the half-opened gate twisted and deformed, with a few arrows still sticking out, and the hinges rusted from prolonged corrosion and the impacts of battle.

Inside the fortress, David saw more traces of battle.

Fragments of weapons and armor were scattered on the ground, and a few uncleaned skeletons lay in the corners, perhaps belonging to warriors who fought bravely here to their last breath.

The torches on the walls had gone out, leaving only black soot marks, interwoven with traces of fire licking, forming a strange pattern.

”This is the mark of the Burning Sect!”

David’s gaze sharpened, realizing everything was the work of the Burning Sect.

Back when he sensed the Messenger Magic Pet losing contact, he knew that something must have happened to the Flame Fortress, but it was more serious than he had imagined.

When they reached the central square of the fortress, they found a huge furnace.

Surrounding the furnace stood numerous followers in red robes bearing the mark of the Burning Sect, performing some kind of ritual.

David’s heart stirred, and through the Sacrificial Spirit, the massive figure of a Burning Demon emerged in his mind.

Evidently, these followers were conducting a sacrificial ritual, intending to summon the Burning Demon from Hell to this world!

Suddenly, the followers began the ritual, moving in unison, chanting ancient spells, and waving torches in the darkness, illuminating their fervent faces.

In their center, a large array was drawn on the ground, emitting a dim light.

David knew that once this ritual was completed, the Burning Demon from Hell would be summoned to the world, bringing destruction and disaster.

He concentrated his spiritual power, using the force of the Sacrificial Spirit to establish contact with the demon about to be summoned.

In his mind, the massive figure of a Burning Demon began to appear.

It was engulfed in flames, its eyes flashing with sinister light, surrounded by a dark aura.

David felt its power and its desire—a desire to enter this world, to destroy and conquer.

”Truly, the Burning Demon is indeed powerful!”

David sensed that this Burning Demon was Tier Seven and became solemn.

Using the force of the Sacrificial Spirit, he began to absorb the sacrificial power, attempting to prevent the Burning Demon’s advent.

However, by this time, the Burning Demon had already absorbed too much sacrificial power, and a considerable portion of its consciousness had already descended!

He activated his Sacrificial Spirit while also harnessing his own spiritual power.

He was able to determine that this ritual was essentially a summoning ceremony.

Summoning and controlling the summoned creatures is a force that Summoners must master.

Yet these summoners were too weak to command the devils and demons they brought forth.

But through the Sacrificial Spirit and the Contract Spirit, David could significantly enhance the effects of sacrifice and contract, thereby controlling this Burning Demon!
