Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 273: The GT3 Endurance Race Officially Begins

Xiao He, who didnʼt cause much trouble, followed OʼDeen to walk through the venue in advance, met up with his two other teammates, and spent the entire afternoon practicing and building coordination.

For this competition, the people teamed up with Xiao He werenʼt OʼDeen, but two other drivers from their racing team.

OʼDeen naturally participated in the most professional platinum category. Although he competed at the same time and venue as Xiao He and the others, they werenʼt in the same category.

This brings us to the rules of this type of endurance race.

Generally, these races are held simultaneously, with drivers from all categories participating together. In other words, whether youʼre a newcomer just entering this circle or a veteran with numerous honors, everyone competes on the same track at the same time, only divided into categories and types, with awards given afterward based on time and performance.

A major highlight of such races is the unpredictability between each driver. Professional drivers arenʼt necessarily leading, and amateur drivers arenʼt necessarily all rookies. This competitiveness and uncertainty on the track greatly attract ordinary viewers and represent one of the unique charms of racing.

After repeatedly confirming tomorrowʼs situation with his two teammates, Xiao He returned with Xiao Chen.

The next day, the European GT3 Endurance Race officially began.

Although this competition was relatively niche domestically, it was extremely popular in these countries, with the venue packed with spectators and the stands completely filled with crowds.

Xiao He stood in the pit stop near the starting point, raising his hand to block the scorching sunlight overhead, and began surveying the dense army of racing cars in the distance.
To be honest, this was Xiao Heʼs first time seeing so many cars, each quite expensive, basically all famous luxury brands everyone would recognize, and some vehicles had paint jobs that were truly eye-catching—simply a paradise for car enthusiasts.

Xiao He even spotted many of the ”evil big nostrils” that domestic car enthusiasts often joked about—the famous BMW cars.

Actually, Xiao He used to dislike these ”big nostrils” quite a bit, but perhaps because he was now standing on the race track, looking at these ”evil big nostrils” modified into various forms, he actually found them somewhat handsome and refined...

Ahem, of course, it would be better if they didnʼt crash into him on the track—after all, the fact that car enthusiasts added the word ”evil” before ”big nostrils” gives a rough idea why everyone so ”thoughtfully” gave it this label.

Holding his helmet, Xiao He leisurely counted the vehicles and brands on site, glancing at their teamʼs red and blue Ferrari, feeling quite satisfied.

Hmm, their teamʼs car was also very cool.

As the second-leg driver positioned in the middle, Xiao He wasnʼt nervous at all.

Instead, Xiao Chen beside him kept holding up his camera, filming the grand scene while nervously chattering nonstop, appearing even more anxious than Xiao He, the actual competitor.

Soon, the endurance race officially began.

After Xiao Heʼs team started, they maintained a mid-pack position—a fairly standard starting point where no gaps were apparent yet.

After all, endurance races test exactly that—endurance. Only those who persist until the end will be the winners—

In the stands, an old man leaning on a cane sat in the best seats with a group of black-suited bodyguards.

The person in charge beside him smiled ingratiatingly and said in a low voice, ”You came at just the right time—the race just started.”

”Hmm.”

Tannis responded indifferently, placed his cane in front of him, crossed his hands over it, and gazed casually at the race track.

The smile never left the person in chargeʼs face: ”Regarding this competitionʼs participant list, Iʼve already compiled it.”

He then handed a document to the assistant beside Tannis, explaining, ”This is the final participant list. There are minor personnel adjustments compared to the one I gave you last time.”

”Hmm.” Tannis nodded, but his gaze never left the track from beginning to end. ”Letʼs watch the race first.”

The person in charge originally wanted to try saying something more, but Tannisʼs coldness ultimately made him shut his mouth.

This endurance race lasted three hours total, making the waiting period very long. Since these stands were open-air, the sunshades couldnʼt completely cover the entire seating area. After about forty minutes, sunlight began shining from the side, gradually raising the temperature in the stands.

The person in charge wiped his sweat and was about to tentatively ask if the old master wanted to change seats when Tannisʼs bodyguards preemptively opened a black sun umbrella, shielding Tannis from the overhead sun, and signaled someone to bring up an air conditioner from below.

Person in charge: ...I overstepped.

As expected of a world-renowned director, his way of handling things is always unique.

Thinking of Tannisʼs purpose for coming to watch the race in person, the person in chargeʼs eyes swept over the adjacent seats, subtly making eye contact with the agent Wen Qi sitting there.

Wen Qi gave him a slight nod.

Remembering what the other party had previously promised, the person in charge felt determined.

Itʼs just helping recommend a Chinese actor! Even if this doesnʼt work out, he has nothing to lose!

A few minutes later, Qin Yuezhang, wearing crisp racing gear and holding his helmet, walked from the stands entrance, super casually passing near Tannis and his group.

”Eh? Why are you here? Arenʼt you participating in todayʼs race?”

The person in charge immediately called out proactively.

With his suddenly raised voice, people around instinctively turned their attention toward them, focusing their gazes here.

Even Old Master Tannis glanced over.

Qin Yuezhang immediately revealed his most perfect smile and walked toward them.

But before he could take more than a few steps, the bodyguards stopped him.

”Ah, he was originally a participant too, his identity is completely fine,” the person in charge quickly spoke up for Qin Yuezhang.

But the bodyguards didnʼt move aside, instead looking back at their employer.

Tannisʼs attention remained captured by the track situation, but his voice sounded unhurriedly: ”Whatʼs his situation? Why isnʼt he participating in the race?”

An opportunity!

The person in charge felt delighted internally.

This was the most words the old master had spoken since they met!

This at least showed he was interested in Qin Yuezhang!

”His name is Qin Yuezhang, he originally planned to participate, but due to some unexpected—”

Just as the person in charge was about to deliver his prepared lines, Tannis suddenly raised his hand, cutting off his upcoming words, and asked his assistant excitedly: ”Whoʼs currently driving that number 39 car that just came out of the pit stop?”

A red and blue Ferrari was streaking across like a beautiful neon line, its body trailing dazzling afterimages, cutting through the traffic flow at an incredibly unbelievable speed, powerfully sweeping past the apex of corners, overtaking the cars ahead one by one.

Endurance races are very lengthy processes requiring lap after lap on the same track. Everyoneʼs speed doesnʼt differ significantly, and faster cars lapping slower ones during this period is already normal—nothing surprising. But seeing a car like that one, overtaking others consecutively as if risking everything, constantly roaring past other vehicles, was truly rare, successfully delivering a powerful visual impact to the spectators!

The assistant beside him quickly looked down to check the materials in hand.

”Heʼs a gentleman driver temporarily invited by the Ryder Laura Racing Team, named Xiao He, from China.”
