Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 188: A Human Tragedy! Let Him Handle It!

”Sister Liu? Xiao Chen? Are you both okay?”

After confirming he hadnʼt lost any limbs, Xiao He immediately went to check on Liu Rulan and Xiao Chenʼs condition.

”Ouch—”

Xiao Chen rubbed his numb neck and turned to respond to Xiao He: ”Iʼm fine, Brother Xiao! How about Sister Liu?”

Xrying to ignore his sore lower back, Xiao He turned to check on Liu Rulanʼs condition.

Perhaps because Xiao Chen truly had European Emperor luck on his side, when Xiao He sensed the danger, Xiao Chenʼs driver seat position was actually the safest, since the main impact force concentrated on the back seat—exactly where Liu Rulan was sitting.

If Xiao He hadnʼt pulled Liu Rulan aside and forcefully pushed the steering wheel, she might have taken the full brunt of that strongest impact force head-on.

”Sister Liu?”

Liu Rulan leaned against the back seat, her head resting against the window edge, eyes tightly closed, with faint traces of blood visible on her head—had she hit her head during the impact—

Xiao He reached out with slight panic and patted Liu Rulanʼs face.
”Sister Liu? Liu Rulan! Wake up, donʼt sleep!”

Fortunately, Liu Rulan responded, letting out a soft hiss as she painfully opened her eyes: ”Iʼm fine, but my foot seems to be stuck.”

Xiao Chen had already gotten out of the car and was preparing to help open the door on Xiao Heʼs side, while the door on Liu Rulanʼs side had been completely smashed beyond recognition from the collision.

However, due to the impact force, the door on Xiao Heʼs side was also very difficult to open—Xiao Chen struggled for a long time without success.

Xiao He directly supported Liu Rulan to move aside, then lifted his leg and delivered several powerful kicks.

”Bang, bang, bang, crack—”

Accompanied by a clear snapping sound from some stuck position, Xiao Chen successfully opened the door.

By now, helpful bystanders had gradually gathered around to assist. Xiao He had Xiao Chen help support Liu Rulan while he joined several helpful people outside the vehicle to pry open the metal sheet trapping Liu Rulanʼs calf.

Fortunately, Liu Rulanʼs leg was merely stuck inside rather than severed—otherwise Xiao He wouldnʼt have dared to move her at all and would have had to wait for fire rescue services.

Soon, Liu Rulan successfully freed her leg and was helped by Xiao He and Xiao Chen to sit on the roadside curb, waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

Only then did Xiao He finally have time to survey the scene.

This was an extremely severe traffic accident—a tanker truck had overturned while passing through the intersection for unknown reasons, its body sliding sideways and colliding with multiple cars and electric bikes, sweeping across the entire intersection. The entire truck remained overturned, lying by the roadside not far away, and had started emitting thick black smoke.

Around the intersection, three or four crashed cars were scattered about, along with several people lying on the ground, covered in blood, their condition unknown.

The cries for help from surrounding pedestrians and the agonized screams of the injured simultaneously reached Xiao Heʼs ears.

Witnessing this hellish scene before him, Xiao He felt complex emotions.

Just moments earlier, he had even wondered if he had done something without properly covering his tracks, attracting revenge from enemies.

But seeing this scene now, Xiao He knew this incident had nothing to do with him.

This was truly a bolt from the blue.

While feeling relieved, Xiao He also felt heavy-hearted—both shaken by the close call and filled with concern.

They had actually been the second vehicle hit, nearly getting sandwiched between the first and third cars. Fortunately, Xiao He had timely pushed the steering wheel, causing the front wheels to sharply turn, which resulted in their vehicle being knocked away by the force while also being pushed in another direction following the front wheelsʼ rotation.

Otherwise, Xiao He and the others might have become the filling in a sandwich.

After confirming that the injured in their van had successfully gotten out, everyone began rescuing people from other vehicles.

Honestly, it was quite dangerous, since the source of all this was that tanker truck.

If that thing exploded, the consequences would be disastrous.

But with so many injured on site this time, some helpful bystanders were still willing to risk their lives to rescue the injured from vehicles.

Xiao He hesitated for a moment, then told Xiao Chen he was going to check the situation and see if he could help in any way.

After all, while others were risking their lives to rescue people while constantly worrying whether and when the tanker truck might explode, Xiao He had his passive skill! At least before danger arrived, he could shout a warning to remind others to run quickly.

So Xiao He felt quite confident, thinking he could help as many as possible.

He first approached two other vehicles nearby.

Compared to their relatively intact van, these two cars had each been flattened in their own ways, smashed into pieces. The two people barely dragged out were covered in blood from head to toe, making it impossible to identify their injury locations.

”Thereʼs still one more inside the deepest part.”

Someone shouted, and others quickly went to dismantle the door.

Xiao He also looked and discovered an elderly person still sitting in the back seat of this white car.

The elderly person was clearly seriously injured too, but fortunately could still call out—perhaps adrenaline was keeping them in this final state.

Everyone pulled on the door together, only to find it stuck, so they could only try to smash the window open.

Xiao He assessed the situation and decisively shouted: ”Everyone step back.”

Then he walked over and pulled out a pen from his pocket.

—Since becoming an entertainer, Xiao He often carried a few pens with him for convenient signing and various other tasks.

And in emergencies, this pen could also serve as a sharp tool.

Xiao He took off his jacket and covered the window to prevent glass shards from flying, while raising his hand, gripping the pen into a fist, and swiftly punching the window.

”Bang—”

With just one punch, the window shattered accordingly.

Then Xiao He delivered several more punches to various corners, completely clearing the window glass from that area.

Xiao He also padded the window edges with his clothing to prevent the protruding sharp glass from cutting peopleʼs skin.

”Quick, try to pull the person out first—”

Following Xiao Heʼs words, everyone stepped forward to help. After confirming the elderly personʼs body wasnʼt trapped by anything else, they only needed to figure out how to drag the person through the window.

However, Xiao He didnʼt continue helping here.

He heard someone nearby urging: ”Itʼs going to explode, itʼs going to explode, donʼt go—”

Xiao He looked up and saw that the overturned tanker truck in the distance was now emitting billowing thick smoke.

Just seeing this situation made it clear how dangerous it was.

Yet a young man in black clothes, despite othersʼ dissuasion, persisted in climbing that overturned tanker truck, apparently trying to rescue the driver inside.

It was apparent this young man had some training—even though the tanker truck was only overturned, it still stood two to three meters high, yet this young man climbed relatively easily, indicating he wasnʼt an ordinary person. However, trying to pull the injured driver out by himself would likely be quite difficult.

He first crouched down, exchanged information with the driver inside, then breathed a sigh of relief and shouted to people nearby: ”This truck is empty!”

An empty tanker truck was definitely much safer than a loaded one.

Nevertheless, looking at that smoking tanker truck, no one dared to go help—everyone had evacuated, maintaining a safe distance from the tanker truck, afraid to approach casually.

This was actually quite understandable—rescuing people within oneʼs capabilities was already an excellent quality, but risking this kind of ”life-threatening danger” to save others required most people to carefully consider, especially with families including both young and old dependents—human lives werenʼt something to play with.

Only Xiao He decisively went to help.

No panic—he had cheats, let him handle it!
