Seeking Fortune and Avoiding Evil in the Cultivation World

Chapter 1386: Chapter 640: The Mixed Element Alliance Fifty Years Later, Two Million Members (2)

The demon catastrophe has become increasingly intense.

It’s not just in the Spirit Ruins Realm. Even Great Thousand Worlds like those ruled by ancient sects such as Guiyuan Sect and Blood River Sect have been invaded by demons. Their presence is everywhere.

At first, the demon disaster didn’t seem like much.

But as the number of demon caves increased, the demons became difficult to eradicate.

In the short term, there’s no sign of the demon catastrophe being eliminated.

“No way, aren’t the ancient sects supposed to be very powerful? It’s said they have numerous old antiques, Integration Great Powers, and even many Mahayana Ancestors maturing.”

“If they act, wouldn’t solving the demon problem be quite manageable?”

Someone curiously asked.

Over time, they began to understand the strength of ancient sects like Guiyuan Sect and Blood River Sect.

These ancient sects have developed for at least billions of years, ruling dozens of Great Thousand Worlds.

More importantly, they have unique treasures like the Life Source Stone.

Once sealed, it can slow down Lifespan consumption, effortlessly allowing one to cross into the future.

This leads to these ancient forces not knowing how many Great Powers are in slumber.

“If they collectively awaken, solving these demons indeed wouldn’t be too much trouble.”

“But why would they be willing to awaken?”

“Because once they awaken, they can’t sleep again. If they can’t ascend to the Immortal Realm, their Lifespan will eventually run out and they’ll die. If they don’t see hope for celestial ascension, they definitely won’t awaken.”

“Unless it’s truly a moment of life and death, those ancestors won’t give up their slumber.”

Someone spoke helplessly.

Once, cultivators tried to awaken these sect ancestors, hoping they would awaken to eliminate the endless demons.

If numerous Mahayana Ancestors were revived, solving the demon disaster might not be an issue.

But these Mahayana Ancestors are unwilling to forsake the hope of becoming Immortal for such trivial matters.

So, until the moment of life and death, these Mahayana Ancestors will not awaken.

This also results in many ancient sects lacking manpower.

“Damn, those old thieves are really selfish, refusing to awaken even at this moment.”

“Aren’t they? They’ve taken most of the sect’s benefits, yet don’t want to bear even a bit of responsibility.”

“There’s no choice; these old thieves are too powerful. The sects are entirely dictated by them.”

“Better not curse out loud elsewhere. These old thieves are ancestors of major families. If their descendants hear, you won’t escape unscathed.”

“Don’t worry, I’m not foolish enough to say such things outside. I only talk about them in the Mixed Element Forum where those folks can’t possibly see the content.”

“Haha, maybe there are forum members from those families too.”

“It’s not impossible. After all, the Life Plate Cultivators can come from any background, regardless of identity.”

“But no one knows our real identities, and we might not even be in the same world. Even if someone wants trouble, they can’t find me.”

“That’s the benefit of the Mixed Element Forum. We can speak our minds. In reality, such freedom doesn’t exist. One wrong word and life could be over.”

The crowd discussed fervently.

They’re very dissatisfied with the sect ancestors, yet can do nothing about it.

After all, these ancestors are the sect’s pillars and true authorities. They do whatever they want.

They can’t be stopped by these minor figures.

So now, they can only vent their deep-seated dissatisfaction secretly on the forum.

“By the way, how’s the Spirit Ruins Realm? I heard the demon disaster there is more severe than in other worlds.”

“Plus, you’ve been combating demons for billions of years. You won’t quickly fall, will you?”

Someone curiously asked.

After all, the Spirit Ruins Realm is where the Mixed Element Alliance originated, an extremely special Great Thousand World.

Disciples of ancient sects have never heard of the Spirit Ruins Realm.

But undeniably, this Great Thousand World is very strong, containing numerous unique treasures.

Many sect cultivators deeply long for the Spirit Ruins Realm.

But unfortunately, even if they wish to go, there’s no way to reach it.

“What are you babbling about? How could our Spirit Ruins Realm fall? We’ve fought demons for billions of years; we won’t be crushed at once. We’ve long found extensive combat experience against demons.”

“Exactly, we’re not newbies like you; we’ve battled demons since birth.”

“Though there’s something truly strange. In recent decades, demons haven’t attacked our major cities, becoming completely calm. It’s a rare peaceful time, and we don’t know what’s happened.”

“That’s too strange, isn’t it? It’s so abnormal, not like demon behavior. Could they be planning some scheme in the Spirit Ruins Realm?”

“Honestly, many Spirit Ruins Realm leaders are concerned about this. When demons are quiet, they’re surely scheming. The problem is our understanding of demons is too limited, and infiltrating them for intel is impossible. So currently, we don’t know what the Spirit Ruins Realm demons are planning.”

“Yes, all we can do is prepare ourselves. This way, no matter what plan the demons have, they can’t beat us.”

Members discussed the Spirit Ruins Realm happenings.

Indeed, some were quite anxious, as this was somewhat unusual.

Each time demons are quiet for a while, they’re plotting big schemes and terrifying plans.

If they erupt, it would be earth-shattering, and no one knows how many cultivators will perish or be wounded.

Sadly, currently, they can’t learn anything inside the demons.

They can only be secretly vigilant, ready for any tactic with defense.

“Honestly, I have a terrifying guess. What do you think; is it possible?”

“As per your Spirit Ruins Realm cultivators, the demons are strong but haven’t increased in number.”

“In other words, Spirit Ruins Realm demons seem unable to connect externally, can’t get outside demon reinforcements.”

“Why is that?”

Someone asked curiously.

“Because the Spirit Ruins Realm is extremely special.”

“Its temporal barriers are enormously strong, blocking external cultivators from entering.”

“True. The demon race’s caves are very strong for cross-dimensional transfers, but Spirit Ruins Realm’s barriers can block cave transfers, so they can’t get external support.”

“Luckily they can’t get external support, otherwise the demon numbers would increase and Spirit Ruins Realm races couldn’t resist any invasion.”

The crowd spoke.

“Yes, Spirit Ruins Realm is special, so inside demons can’t contact outside.”

“But is this absolutely certain?”

“What if after long years, those demons already found a way to connect outside?”

“Even able to teleport outside demons into the Spirit Ruins Realm, what would happen then?”

Someone proposed a terrifying guess that Spirit Ruins Realm demons already connected with external demons, possibly gaining endless demon reinforcements.

“No way, is it true? That’s too scary.”

“If it truly happens, the Spirit Ruins Realm might be completely doomed.”

“Even current demons are hard to resist, if more demons enter, we can’t fight back and will be utterly destroyed.”

“That’s overly pessimistic. Spirit Ruins Realm’s barriers aren’t easy to breach. If breaching was possible, it would’ve happened long ago, not still intact. Your guesses are getting outrageous.”

“No, no, no; it’s not outrageous but a normal guess. The Mortal World has already seen tremendous changes, colossal mutations long begun; it’s just world dwellers haven’t noticed.”

“Yes, if we weren’t part of the Mixed Element Alliance, receiving intel from various worlds, we wouldn’t know the Mortal World so well or that such changes have occurred outside.”

The crowd’s expressions were extremely grave, pondering the probability of such events, seemingly not impossible.
