Chapter 2： Existential Crisis, True Death
Looking at the treasure chest in front of him, Lin Yue was full of excitement.

He can now confirm that after crossing into this different world, he obtained a golden finger.

There is a 100% chance of a treasure chest!

After killing three little lizards at once, three treasure chests appeared together. This is by no means white-faced.

More than that.

Lin Yue opened the four treasure chests obtained in total.

[You got a bottle of Waxihe pure water 600ML! 】

【You got a piece of 500 grams of bread! 】

【You got a 600ml bottle of hot dew mineral water! 】

【You got a piece of 500 grams of bread! 】

What they get is water and food, which are the most in short supply for all.

He opened the group and watched the screen silently for a while, but still saw that many people were still complaining that the probability of exploding treasure chests was too low.

It seems that only he has this golden finger.

Lin Yue also found that the vast majority of people, because they lacked water and food, bravely attacked mutant creatures, expecting to get a treasure chest.

Water, food, these are things that are necessary for survival.

Lin Yue has read reports that people can survive for two months or even longer without eating at their limit.

Ordinary people, a week or two.

But if you don’t drink water, you will die in three days.

It can be said that water is the most basic prerequisite for the continuation of life.

According to the manual, after the first disaster, groups such as the elderly and children will carry three days’ worth of food and water per person.

But the first disaster is seven days later. If there is no water, how many people can survive until seven days later? Not to mention, it means ”getting through the disaster”.

Through the disaster, who knows how many days it will take.

Lin Yue grew up in an orphanage with no relatives and no reason. Even then, there would be no such supplies.

With this road blocked, Lin Yue could only support himself.

However, with the opening of the first treasure chest, he already had three bottles of water, each of which was 600ml.

In theory, if you want to maintain optimal levels of your body, you need to drink two liters of water a day.

But in today’s world where all people live, this is far too ideal.

Lin Yue felt a little relieved when he saw that he could use a day’s worth of water for extravagant use.

At least you don’t have to worry about water for the time being.

In terms of food, it is no problem to eat for two days.

What’s more, with the golden finger that explodes the treasure chest 100%, there should be as much of this kind of thing as you want.

Taking these things back into the broken thatched hut, Lin Yue also tripped over the broken door, which also made him realize that solving the problems of water and food did not solve all of them.

After unscrewing the cap of a bottle of water, Lin Yue took a sip, concentrated, and opened the game panel again.

Just after opening it, he suddenly saw that the total number of people in the upper right corner of the group had become 9996.

After another minute or so, it became 9991!

Wait, what’s going on? Does this mean that there are fewer people?

less, that means...

”die!?”

A chill instantly enveloped Lin Yue.

There is no doubt that this game is real, so the reduction of this number means that someone really died!

Lin Yue searched carefully and found that there were indeed nine people whose heads were gray.

It also includes the one who said the house had collapsed earlier.

die…

This world, if you die, is really dead.

Lin Yue once again felt a sense of crisis.

Water and food ensured that he would not die of thirst and starvation, but in terms of safety, how much worse was he than the collapsed house?

With a hint of anxiety, he looked directly at [Refuge Related], and soon a picture popped up.

Shelter: Thatched Cottage

Area: 40㎡

Durability: 2/10

Evaluation: You know, the big bad wolf blows and it will fall down, run away and find the little pig who can make a wooden house.

Shelter Points: 0

Good guy, looking at this durability, it will collapse at any time?

It’s okay to have a taunt in this game.

However, it does.

Not to mention whether this broken thatched hut can survive a random disaster, even a larger mutant creature can’t stand it at night.

In particular, the survival manual also said that the activities of mutant creatures will be more intense at night. If you are unlucky, you should just take the dog at night.

Lin Yue walked outside the house again and looked into the distance.

In the grass in the distance, there are obviously some black spots moving.

That is definitely not a mutant creature of the level of a monster that is easy to deal with.

He felt that this matter had to be resolved before night came.

Lin Yue looked directly at [Manufacturing].

Two sub-categories popped up, one is [Shelter-related] and the other is [Survival-related].

Shelters are further divided into doors, walls, floors, roofs, etc.

Lin Yue glanced at the collapsed grass gate.

This seems to be the one that needs to be addressed first.

[Grass Gate: Forage X3]

[Wooden Door: Wood X2]

[Shimen: Stone X4]

Soon, three options were presented on the screen.

But Lin Yue almost didn’t think about it, and directly blocked the grass door.

That thing is not the same.

It’s not bad to be able to block a bug when it is dead, and it is also made of grass when it is restored to its original state.

As for Shimen, Lin Yue felt that this broken thatched hut might not be able to support the weight of Shimen.

Then there is only one choice.

However, wouldn’t it be enough to collect wood and find trees? Lin Yu probably has a development route.

He walked out the door and looked around.

Wasteland, grass.

Tree? It seems that there is such a small forest a few hundred meters away.

Biting his head and walking over there, Lin Yue found that the thinnest one here had to be ten centimeters thick.

This... can’t be done.

In short, no tools.

Open the manufacturing page, and there is indeed a plan in the survival related list.

[Stone Axe: Wood X1, Stone X1]

Ah this.

If I can find wood, do I still need to make an axe?

After searching for a while, there are not even dry branches and the like nearby, and the stones are even more to be found.

Card closed?

In the line of sight, except here, there is nothing related to the ”tree”.

After a careful search, there is no small stone.

Man, how barren is my sanctuary?

On the way back to the thatched hut, Lin Yue unexpectedly discovered that he had never encountered any mutant creatures at such a long distance.

Not to mention the little lizards, not even the purple grasshopper.

hiding?

Lin Yue thought for a while, then returned to the thatched hut, opened the game panel, and looked at the [trade mall].

The screen flashed, and there was not much information.

[Seller: Laoba, Island City]

【Trade Item: Secret Small Burger】

【Required: 1L of any liquid】

[Seller’s note: Ollie, it’s done, brothers! 】

…

【Seller: Berg】

[Trade Item: Meat of Mutated Creatures]

【Required: Iron Block X2】

【Seller’s Note: Rich in protein chicken flavor, crunch and crisp】

…

【Seller: Zhang Lei】

[Trade Item: Lumber X2]

【Required: Drinking water 500ML】

[Seller’s note: I got it after cutting down the tree for a long time, UU reading www.uukanshu. com water is coming! 】

…

After a cursory browsing, Lin Yue found that there is not only a direct barter, but also an auction bidding function.

Although there are a lot of people who have made up their minds, it is true that Lin Yue also discovered that what most people are asking for is the same thing.

water!

Water, as a commodity, seems to have become hard currency.

Indeed, if you want to live, you cannot live without water.

Without the concept of money, barter has become the only mainstream.

Moreover, not only simple buying and selling, but also auctions and other methods.

He searched again to see if there was anyone selling water, but found nothing.

It seems that there may really be very few who burst out of the treasure chest.

Looking at the water around him again, Lin Yue also had some ideas.

Opening the inventory, Lin Yue noticed that there are ten grids in total, and items of the same type can be accumulated in one grid.

Take out a bottle to drink alone, put the remaining two bottles of water into it, and soon it will display ”Drinking water X2”.

Three bottles of water, a total of 1.8L, is not too much.

Now it’s time to choose how to exchange it.

Lin Yue looked at the sellers who were begging for water. Although there were quite a lot of them, the demands were extremely outrageous.

Instead of them pricing it, you should price it yourself!

auction!

【Seller: Lin Yue】

【Auction item: 200ml pure water】

【Required: Wood】

[Seller’s Note: The one with the highest price will get it]

And just after Lin Yue put the water on it, the chat history of the group exploded instantly!
