Chapter 1052 Divine Paragonʼs Legacy

”Itʼs not going to be easy removing Qian Chu from his position, unless you plan on using your identity to suppress him…” Yan Hara said with a worried look on her face.

”I intend on using my identity. However, I will only do so after we have enough support on our side. Therefore, we need to focus on finding people we can trust and get them on our side, so when it comes time to fight Qian Chu, it wonʼt just be the two of us. I will leave this task to you.”

”W-What?! You want to leave such an important task to me?! I-I donʼt think I am ready for it!” Yan Hara exclaimed in a terrified voice.

”If you cannot do it, nobody else can. First and foremost, youʼre already a respected and well-known Demon Sealer within the Demon Sealing Clan. You also have a lot of experience in the Demon Sealing Clan— even more than me since this place is no longer the Demon Sealing Clan that I once knew, so my experience might as well be thrown aside.”

”Furthermore, as a Master Demon Sealer, you should have connections to many high-ranking Demon Sealers. I want you to bring those that are trustworthy to our side.”

Yan Hara swallowed nervously, ”Iʼm afraid of bringing someone unworthy and putting our whole secret at risk…”

”I trust in your judgment.” Yuan smiled.

After a moment of silence, Yan Hara spoke in a defeated manner, ”If you really think I have what it takes, I will do my best.”

ʼNot that I could ever refuse the founder of the Demon Sealing Clan…ʼ she sighed inwardly.

”Thatʼs what I like to hear. Of course, I wonʼt just tell you to do all of this for free. In return for helping me, I will make you the strongest Demon Sealer in the whole Demon Sealing Clan and the Demon Sealing Grotto.”

”I-I donʼt need any payment! I will gladly assist you even if I donʼt get anything in return— not that I expected anything in the first place!” Yan Hara quickly shook her head.

”Nonsense. Youʼre my friend and trusted aid, itʼs only natural that I assist you in my own way, and as the founder of the Demon Sealing Clan, there is only one thing that I can offer you— guidance.”

”Give me your forehead.” Yuan suddenly beckoned her.

”Yes…”

Not knowing what to expect, Yan Hara leaned her head forward.

After a moment of silence, Yuan suddenly tapped her forehead with his finger that was emanating a glowing light.

A multitude of information of demon sealing techniques that had been lost with the passage of time along with demon sealing techniques that Tian Chenyu never shared quickly flowed inside Yan Haraʼs mind.

Yan Hara sat there with a blank expression on her face as she absorbed all of this shocking information.

Many minutes later, she snapped out of her daze and stared at Yuan with a shocked look on her face, her body trembling from excitement and many other emotions.

”I am officially making you my successor— the first Demon Sealer to become successor to the Divine Paragonʼs legacy. Are you willing to accept this role?” Yuan asked her with a smile on his face.

”...”

Yan Haraʼs jaw dropped to the ground after hearing his words.

After a moment of silence, she spoke in a low voice, ”Youʼre asking me that after giving me so much priceless demon sealing techniques…?”

She didnʼt know whether to laugh or cry, so she did both at once.

”Thatʼs how much I trust you.” Yuan chuckled.

Sometime later, Yan Hara got off her chair and kneeled before Yuan before kissing the floor with her forehead.

She spoke in a kowtowing position, ”This unworthy junior will humbly accept this esteemed role as your successor.”

Yuan nodded, ”When the time is right, I will teach you the rest of the demon sealing techniques, including the ultimate demon sealing technique that I have only used once. I would teach you the Swords of Eternal Torment as well as other demon sealing techniques that only I know, but I donʼt want you to make yourself a target for Qian Chu. He will definitely go after those techniques.”

”Once you are strong enough and with enough backing, I will teach the rest of them to you.”

”I am already more than satisfied with the demon sealing techniques you have given me.” Yan Hara said.

”Anyways, letʼs talk more about the situation with the Demon Sealing Clan and the Demon Sealing Grotto. I also know very little about the latter. Tell me everything you know about them.” Yuan said a moment later.

”Okay.”

Over the next several hours, Yan Hara would talk about the whole situation in detail as well as answering any questions that Yuan had for her.

Once all that was done, Yuan prepared to leave the Demon Sealing Clanʼs Grand Library to return to the Myriad of Techniques.

”Do you have anything you want to tell me before I leave?” Yuan asked her.

Yan Hara pondered for a moment before speaking with a bashful smile on her face, ”This may sound cliché, but I want to thank you for not abandoning the Demon Sealing Clan and returning to us. According to the rumors out there, they say that you never really cared about the Demon Sealing Clan.”

Yuan chuckled, ”The rumors are true. I never really cared for the Demon Sealing Clan at first because it was created randomly. In fact, I wasnʼt the one who came up with the idea of creating the Demon Sealing Clan. One of my followers came up with this suggestion as a joke— one that people took seriously, and before I was aware, the Demon Sealing Clan had come into existence. The rest is history.”

”Seriously…?” Yan Hara was baffled after learning this shocking information.

To think that the glorious Demon Sealing Clan had started as a joke, who knows how the Demon Sealers would react if they learned of this information.

”Anyways, I will come back here once in a while to hear about your progress. Until then.” Yuan waved goodbye to Yan Hara before disappearing from the Grand Library.
