Starting From A Son In Law To Build An Long Lasting Family

Chapter 153: Seven Stars Stellar Sword, Second Transformation - Peach Blossom Gu!

After arriving in Blue Cloud Market Town, Meng Sennin began to inquire about her grandson Meng Yibai’s recent situation and any notable events within the town.

As a respected figure in the Blue Cloud Sect, she easily obtained the information she sought.

Before long, she gained a general understanding of her grandson’s situation and the recent events in the town.

Among the information, she keenly picked up on a particular piece of news.

Xiao Xiyue had attempted to establish a foundation in Blue Cloud Market Town, and she was not alone in this endeavor. She was accompanied by a man who shared a residence with her.

Upon learning this, Meng Sennin realized that her grandson’s recent activities might be connected to this incident.

She knew her grandson’s personality well and was aware of his feelings for Xiao Xiyue.

Initially, she had hoped that her grandson would be able to form a romantic relationship with Xiao Xiyue.

If her grandson were to find out that Xiao Xiyue had arrived in Blue Cloud Market Town to establish a foundation, he would likely go to congratulate her. However, when he discovered Xiao Xiyue cohabiting with another man, he would likely feel jealous and even harbor murderous intentions towards that man.

“Xiao Xiyue,” Meng Sennin’s expression turned solemn.
She couldn’t believe that this incident was somehow connected to Xiao Xiyue.

The trail led back to Xiao Xiyue.

Although she knew that the incident was related to Xiao Xiyue, she dared not ask Xiao Xiyue about it.

One thing was certain – this matter was not in her favor.

The man who could live with Xiao Xiyue and attempt to establish a foundation was not a trivial matter, even if they weren’t romantically involved.

In this situation, her grandson’s jealousy would lead him to cause trouble, and ultimately, his own downfall.

If she were to confront Xiao Xiyue, it would only lead to more trouble.

As for Xiao Xiyue, she wasn’t afraid of her.

However, Xiao Xiyue had a special background, being the disciple of Yun Wanshang, a Core Formation master.

Even as a respected figure, she wouldn’t dare offend Fairy Caiyun. After all, Fairy Caiyun was a true Core Formation master, and especially protective of her disciples.

Last year, she had even drawn her sword against Red Sun Peak because of Xiao Xiyue.

Meng Sennin didn’t want to provoke her.

If Fairy Caiyun were to find out about this incident, she would be in grave danger.

It was likely that Fairy Caiyun would attack her with her sword, and Meng Sennin would have to prepare for the worst.

Moreover, she had discovered that the person who had just broken through to Foundation Establishment was likely the one who had killed her grandson.

It was probable that they were a respected figure, possibly even a Core Formation master.

Otherwise, it would be impossible for someone who had just reached Foundation Establishment to be a match for her grandson, let alone kill him.

“Alas…”

After considering the entire situation, Meng Sennin let out a deep sigh.

With a sorrowful expression, she boarded her spirit boat and left Blue Cloud Market Town, returning to Blue Cloud Sect.

She planned to spend the next period of time in seclusion, focusing on her cultivation.

Meanwhile, Lu Changsheng was on the steel-feathered eagle, playing with the golden flying sword that had been refined from Meng Yibai’s sword. “This flying sword is indeed more suitable for me than the spiritual weapons of the Red Cloaked Youth.” Ꞧà𐌽ОꞖËṩ

“However, it’s also because I possess a Metallic Body, which allows me to resonate better with this flying sword.”

“If I want a truly suitable flying sword, I’ll need to ask an artifact refining master to forge one with the attributes of yin, yang, and the five elements.”

Lu Changsheng was well aware that to maximize his power, he needed a flying sword that suited him.

However, such a sword was difficult to obtain, whether through purchase or by killing and plundering.

In the cultivation world, most flying swords had single or dual attributes, and it was rare to find one with all five elements.

He would have to ask an artifact refining master to forge one for him.

“I’ll have to wait until I have the resources to ask someone to forge one for me.”

Lu Changsheng put away the flying sword, thinking to himself that it wasn’t a big deal.

This flying sword was just a transitional spiritual weapon.

At the Foundation Establishment stage, his true spiritual weapon was the Seven Stars Heart Lamp.

Once he forged it, his power would increase by a stage.

As for the flying sword, he would wait until he broke through to Core Formation, when he could use the Seven Stars Great Freedom Sword Technique’s third stage, which included a set of magical treasures called the Seven Stars Stellar Sword.

These magical treasures could be refined into seven different attribute swords, which would greatly enhance his power when used in conjunction with the Seven Stars Great Freedom Sword Technique.

He could also create 64 sword shadows and set up the Seven Stars Stellar Sword array.

Once he mastered this sword array, even as a beginner Core Formation cultivator, he could easily kill mid-stage Core Formation cultivators, and even late-stage ones.

“However, I’m still far from achieving that. I’m only at Foundation Establishment, and those magical treasures are still too far away for me.”

Lu Changsheng shook his head, not thinking too much about it.

He took out a jade map, infused it with his spiritual energy, and looked at his current location. He was still two days away from Qingzhu Mountain.

“Although I’ve refined the vengeful spirit, I don’t know if Meng Yibai’s elder has other means to find me.”

“So, to be safe, I’ll wander around outside for a while and not rush back to Qingzhu Mountain, in case I attract trouble.”

Lu Changsheng looked at the map and decided to observe the surroundings for half a month to ensure that Meng Yibai’s elder couldn’t find him. I

f not, it would cause trouble for Qingzhu Mountain and Hongye City.

“Alas, I should still be more careful when going out.”

“Killing ordinary cultivators is one thing, but killing someone with a background like Meng Yibai could lead to big trouble.”

Lu Changsheng sighed, making up his mind to focus on making money and cultivating in seclusion after returning home.

He didn’t want to encounter more people like Meng Yibai, who could bring trouble to his family. He also needed to pay more attention to his children’s education, so they wouldn’t grow up to be problematic.

Just as Lu Changsheng was about to find a place to rest, he felt a slight tremor in his brow.

“Peach Blossom Gu has completed its transformation and upgraded to the Second Transformation!”

The next moment, Lu Changsheng understood what was happening.

It was his own Peach Blossom Gu that had upgraded.

This Peach Blossom Gu had long reached the peak of the First Transformation.

However, due to his limited cultivation, it was unable to upgrade to the Second Transformation.

As soon as he broke through the Foundation Establishment, the Peach Blossom Gu on his forehead began to transform and upgrade.

Now, after a month, the Peach Blossom Gu had also completed its transformation and successfully upgraded to the Second Transformation.

The upgrade of the Peach Blossom Gu to the Second Transformation didn’t bring about significant changes.

It only enhanced the original three effects.

It made his Romantic Luck even more prosperous.

The Peach Blossom Gu improved his charm and aura, making him more attractive to the opposite sex.

And the active effect, the Five Elements Peach Blossom Curse, was also enhanced.

“Peach Blossom Gu has upgraded, and my Romantic Luck has increased again. I shouldn’t go out less often.”

“Otherwise, who knows, I might encounter Romantic Luck as soon as I step out the door.”

Lu Changsheng stroked his chin, chuckled, and then headed towards a large mountain in the distance.

He planned to stop there for half a month.

He wanted to see if Meng Yibai’s fake true persons would find him.

If they did, he would use the Talisman to escape and sever the Demonic Curse of Fate.

If they didn’t, that would be even better.

Xiao Xiyue, on the other hand, didn’t linger after meeting the true persons in Blue Cloud Market Town and directly returned to Blue Cloud Sect.

As soon as she returned to the sect, she rushed to Rainbow Peak.

She arrived at the magnificent palace at the top, where she met her master.

As she arrived at the grand hall, Xiao Xiyue saw a woman standing on the stairs, dressed in colorful cloud-like robes, with her hair styled in a cloud-like bun, and a face as beautiful as a heavenly goddess.

It was her master, Yun Wanshang.

It was clear that her master knew she had returned and was waiting for her.

“Master.”

Xiao Xiyue immediately bowed respectfully.

“You haven’t disappointed me, Xiyue.”

Yun Wanshang looked at her disciple with a faint smile on her face.

She had already learned about Xiao Xiyue’s successful Foundation Establishment through the true persons in Blue Cloud Market Town.

She also knew that Xiao Xiyue didn’t achieve Foundation Establishment alone.

She had heard that Xiao Xiyue and Lu Changsheng had broken through to Foundation Establishment together.

After hearing this news, she felt a mix of emotions, both comfort and complexity.

The comfort came from Xiao Xiyue’s successful Foundation Establishment, which meant she had overcome her emotional tribulations and achieved a perfect foundation.

The complexity, however, was due to Xiao Xiyue’s relationship with Lu Changsheng.

Although she had mentally prepared herself for this, knowing that Lu Changsheng and Xiao Xiyue had achieved Foundation Establishment together still made her feel uneasy.

This represented the complete severance of her connection with Lu Changsheng.

Upon learning of Lu Changsheng’s Foundation Establishment, she felt a sense of unknown anxiety in her heart.

She was worried that Lu Changsheng would activate the jade pendant and contact her.

After all, she had told Lu Changsheng that if he achieved Foundation Establishment, she would give him an opportunity.

But now that Lu Changsheng and Xiao Xiyue had a connection, and had taken that step, she didn’t know how to respond.

Fortunately, the jade pendant remained silent.

However, this also made her feel unhappy.

Although she had made up her mind not to respond to Lu Changsheng’s activation of the jade pendant, Lu Changsheng’s success in Foundation Establishment without activating the pendant made her feel quite displeased.

She wanted to ask Lu Changsheng what he meant by this.

Was he looking down on her?

As a Core Formation true person, she had given him a supreme opportunity, and he didn’t even know how to cherish it!

“Master, I’ve disappointed you again,” Xiao Xiyue said, pursing her lips.

“Ah?” Yun Wanshang responded, slightly startled.

She then looked at Xiao Xiyue carefully.

Immediately, she noticed that Xiao Xiyue’s aura was off.

As Xiao Xiyue’s master, she knew that her disciple’s foundation was based on the Profound Lunar Yin Dao Base.

This foundation was quite good, with a strong and harmonious connection with Xiao Xiyue’s physique.

However, Xiao Xiyue’s current aura didn’t resemble a perfect dao base.

She immediately grasped Xiao Xiyue’s hand, which was as white as jade, to examine her condition.

She saw that on the perfect, jade-like dao platform in Xiao Xiyue’s Dantian, there was a clear and visible crack.

“This…”

Yun Wanshang was taken aback.

She didn’t expect my disciple to successfully establish their Foundation!

Although they’ve condensed the Profound Lunar Yin Dao Base, there’s still a flaw.

“Xiyue, why is this happening?”

Yun Wanshang asked Xiao Xiyue.

Although she did not practice the Supreme Forgetfulness Technique, she had studied it.

She knew that this technique placed great importance on one’s mental state.

If one’s mental state was not correct, it would be difficult to establish their Foundation. It was impossible to have a successful Foundation Establishment with a flawed base.

Moreover, condensing a perfect Dao base and still having a flawed base was a situation she had never seen before.

“Master, when I broke through to Foundation Establishment, I finally understood the true meaning of the first stage of the Supreme Forgetfulness Technique, ‘Cloud is heartless and Moon is heartless’.”

“‘Clouds and moon intersect, clouds surround the moon, the moon shines on the clouds, the two are intertwined yet separate, one is serene and quiet, the other is ethereal and unpredictable, both are is heartless, this is Cloud is heartless and Moon is heartless’.”

“I made a mistake from the beginning, which led to my yin and yang being out of balance, resulting in a successful Foundation Establishment with a flawed base.”

Xiao Xiyue slowly explained her situation and understanding of the Supreme Forgetfulness Technique to her master.

“Ah, Cloud is heartless and Moon is heartless,” Yun Wanshang sighed, impressed.

She had initially pointed out the Supreme Forgetfulness Technique to Xiao Xiyue, emphasizing the importance of the cloud and moon being intertwined. But she never expected that this intertwining would mean having no desires or emotions.

It was hard for her to evaluate this technique.

She nodded and said, “Xiyue, don’t worry, a flawed Dao base is not irreversible.”

“I, as your master, know of several heavenly materials and earthly treasures that can repair a Dao base. I’ll find them for you later.”

Yun Wanshang said this, feeling a sense of responsibility as Xiao Xiyue’s master. In her opinion, Xiao Xiyue’s mistake in cultivation and flawed Dao base were also related to her own guidance.

Initially, she had not provided clear guidance to Xiao Xiyue, and her own instructions had led Xiao Xiyue astray.

“Master, this mistake has also brought me good fortune,”

Xiao Xiyue said with a gentle smile, her cold and serene face softening.

Yun Wanshang looked at her disciple, slightly taken aback. She didn’t understand the meaning behind Xiao Xiyue’s words, and it had been a long time since she had seen Xiao Xiyue smile like that.

After cultivating the Supreme Forgetfulness Technique, Xiao Xiyue’s expression in front of her master was no longer as cold and serene as before.

Her face had become slightly softer, but not to the extent that it was now.

This made Yun Wanshang realize that her disciple had undergone a significant change after establishing their Foundation.

“Master, although my Foundation Establishment was flawed, it allowed me to understand the true meaning of the Supreme Forgetfulness Technique,” Xiao Xiyue said.

“I also understood the meaning of the second stage, ‘Clouds have emotions, Moon has emotions’.”

“If I can cultivate this stage to perfection, I may be able to repair my Dao base on my own.”

Xiao Xiyue spoke openly, knowing that she couldn’t hide the fact that her Dao base was flawed from her master, Yun Wanshang.

However, the fact that Lu Changsheng could repair her Dao base was too astonishing, so she chose to attribute it to the Supreme Forgetfulness Technique.

In the future, if her Dao base was restored to perfection, or even further improved, she would have a reason to explain it.

Moreover, she wanted to continue her cultivation with Lu Changsheng and needed her master’s approval.

Not only was this a matter of cultivation, but in the Blue Cloud Sect, after a disciple’s Foundation Establishment, the sect would also arrange tasks for them.

Even as a Core Formation true person’s disciple, she needed to report her situation and obtain her master’s approval to temporarily avoid these tasks.

“Clouds have emotions, Moon has emotions, and I can repair my Dao base on my own.”

Yun Wanshang was surprised to hear this, and the Supreme Forgetfulness Technique became even more mysterious and profound in her eyes.

She wondered if she had made a mistake by letting Xiao Xiyue choose this technique.

After all, through Xiao Xiyue’s words, even a Core Formation true person like herself couldn’t fully understand the true meaning of this technique, and its cultivation difficulty was unimaginable.

“According to my understanding of the second stage of the Supreme Forgetfulness Technique, ‘Clouds have emotions, Moon has emotions’,” Xiao Xiyue continued.

“The moon, accompanied by the clouds, shines brighter and more radiantly, and the clouds, illuminated by the moon, become more lively and carefree. To people on earth, the two complement each other, creating a beautiful scenery like a blue sky and white clouds.”

Xiao Xiyue slowly explained her understanding of the second stage of the Supreme Forgetfulness Technique.

“The first stage is about having no desires or emotions, allowing one to establish their Foundation with the intention of Supreme Forgetfulness.”

“The second stage, however, allows one to have emotions in the state of Supreme Forgetfulness.”

Yun Wanshang, as a Core Formation true person, already had some understanding of the Supreme Forgetfulness Technique. Now, after hearing her disciple’s words, she finally understood the meaning and subtleties of the technique.

After careful consideration, she felt that the Supreme Forgetfulness Technique was even more profound and mysterious, making it difficult for one to comprehend. It was as if one was seeing a mountain, not seeing a mountain, and then seeing a mountain again.

“Xiyue, are you going to continue cultivating with Lu Changsheng’s help?”

Yun Wanshang asked, understanding the reason behind her disciple’s words.

Xiao Xiyue was not only reporting to her master but also explaining her cultivation path.

“Please approve, Master,”

Xiao Xiyue said with a bow.

Yun Wanshang didn’t speak and looked at her disciple. She had already accepted the situation with Lu Changsheng, but she was worried about her disciple getting deeper into the entanglement with him.

She wondered if her disciple could truly achieve the Supreme Forgetfulness state. Moreover, in the cultivation world, one had to consider the consequences of their actions.

Xiao Xiyue repaid the kindness of cultivation and life-saving with the Sun and Moon Dao Foundation.

If she continued to cultivate with him, how would she repay her debt, and what would be the consequences?

The two locked eyes, and Yun Wanshang finally nodded.

“Very well, I approve,” she said, handing Xiao Xiyue a token.

“Take this token and register your cultivation progress at the Record Office. You can then avoid the sect’s tasks.”

“Thank you, Master,”

Xiao Xiyue said with a bow.

“Xiyue, the second stage of the Supreme Forgetfulness Technique is ‘Clouds have emotions, Moon has emotions’, but the third stage is ‘Clouds without emotions, Moon without emotions’, which is the true Supreme Forgetfulness,”

Yun Wanshang said, having gained more insight into the technique after listening to Xiao Xiyue’s words.

“Please don’t worry, Master,”

Xiao Xiyue said with a bright smile, understanding her master’s concerns.
