Chapter 600: Superconducting quantum computer or optical quantum computer?
Chapter 600 Superconducting quantum computer or optical quantum computer?

At this time, Ms. Zhu, who is the Three Musketeers of the Great Xia Quantum Realm, also nodded in agreement:

”Yes, I also think that if you want to develop a quantum computer, it would be better to directly develop a superconducting quantum computer.

Although the optical quantum computer has the characteristics of not easy to decoherence and anti-interference once the quantum entanglement is formed, once the optical quantum entanglement is formed, it is very stable.

But the problem is that these properties are too good, because these properties make the optical quantum computer too poorly controllable!

Superconducting quantum can control quantum through various means, and because light quantum hardly reacts with the outside world much, the energy required to control an optical quantum computer is comparable to developing several superconducting quantum computers.

So I think that if you want to quickly launch a quantum computer that can be used initially, it is better to develop a superconducting quantum computer, and you can also launch a quantum computer faster and put it into use to get a return. ”

Ms. Zhu’s words were recognized by the other Three Musketeers at the scene.

Facts are exactly as Ms. Zhu said, although the difference between light quantum and superconducting quantum is not big from the name, in fact, the two are almost not the same thing, and the two also have different characteristics.

The light quantum is essentially the quantum of photons, while the other quantum is essentially the quantum of elemental matter.

Photons are quite miraculous. If it weren’t for the wave-particle duality of light, light wouldn’t be a kind of quantum.

So because of the special nature of photons, the difficulty of developing photons into quantum computers can be called hell.

However, photons are not without benefits, because once photons form quantum entanglement, the possibility of decoherence is very low.

So he has one of the biggest advantages, which is that the accuracy rate is super high, and once quantum entanglement is formed, it is not easy to decoherence.

That is to say, once the quantum computer is successfully developed, it can run very stably, which is incomparable to other superconducting quantum computers.

Although most of the superconducting quantum computers of later generations have been put into use by 2023, in fact, the operation of these quantum computers is unstable and cannot be regarded as a real success.

As for how it is unstable, this instability means that after you run it for a period of time, the superconducting quantum computer may suddenly crash at any time, and then you can only recalculate.

And this kind of situation similar to the sudden power failure of the home computer and the need to restart the office will make people feel very depressed and vomit blood.

This is why the superconducting quantum computers of later generations are already so powerful, but the Internet companies of later generations do not put the superconducting quantum computers that can be used initially into Internet services.

No way, the most important thing about the Internet is stability!

Although certain characteristics of this quantum computer are very strong, the superconducting quantum computer is unstable, which is really too troublesome.

And it takes time to restart, which is really depressing and unacceptable for Internet companies.

So although the quantum computers of later generations can only be used initially, they are all used locally.

After all, for the local side, it’s no big deal to fail once and just do it again. Although superconducting quantum computers are a bit of a joke, quantum computers do have their advantages, so everyone can only make do with it.

However, it was Lin Xuan who really made the decision at this time. It was Lin Xuan who decided whether to develop a superconducting quantum computer or an optical quantum computer, so they all turned their attention to Lin Xuan.

Facing the gazes cast by Dean Li of the Xia Ke Academy and the Three Musketeers, Lin Xuan pondered for a moment and said slowly:

”I know that superconducting quantum computers are easy to develop, but I still decided to develop optical quantum computers.”

”this…”

Hearing Lin Xuan’s words, everyone on the scene looked at Lin Xuan with stunned expressions.

Knowing that the development of light quantum is difficult, but Lin Xuan chose the most difficult path, which is really unexpected.

However, thinking that Hantang Technology has indeed created possibilities among many impossibilities, people are slightly surprised at this time and then take it for granted.

At this moment, Lin Xuan slowly spoke amidst people nodding:

“Although superconducting quantum computers are relatively easy to develop successfully, it is very difficult to achieve stable operation.

After all, superconducting quantum machines are too susceptible to environmental interference. I don’t think that a thunderstorm or a loud wave will cause the operation of the quantum computer to be interrupted.

Optical quantum is less subject to external intervention, and it naturally has the characteristics of stable driving without fear of interruption. Although the development of optical quantum computers is difficult, what we want is long-term and stable operation. ”

Hearing this, the Three Musketeers and Dean Li of Xia Ke Academy showed stunned expressions.

Indeed, optical quantum computers are naturally stable against external interference.

If the optical quantum computer can really succeed, then the optical quantum computer is indeed a stable computer.

”Since Mr. Lin has made up his mind, we can only obey.”

Pan God Pan Weiye heard what Lin Xuan said, and he could only reluctantly agree.

The other two bosses among the other Three Musketeers also nodded slightly to express their approval, Lin Xuan is the master of gold.

Since Lin Xuan decided to develop an optical quantum computer, what else can they say? Naturally, I had no choice but to agree!

After all, their biggest dream in the field of quantum research is to show off what they have learned. With Hantang Technology as a sponsor who is willing to spend money, they can only give priority to meeting the requirements of the sponsor.

Seeing Pan Shen Pan Weiye and the other two’s statements, Lin Xuan also said with a smile:

”I am very happy to get three great talents this time, and I am enthusiastic about top talents like the three great talents.

The salary of the three should be calculated according to the million-dollar annual salary level of a top mathematician. There will be another big reward after the development of the optical quantum computer! ”

”Thank you, Mr. Lin!”

Peng Yuanzhi of the swordsman trio hastily expressed his thanks excitedly.

”thank you boss.”

Ms. Zhu is also very excited, after all, the annual salary of one million dollars is not a small sum.

The money they earned in this year is estimated to be the money they can earn in more than ten years. After all, the wages paid by the unit are not too high, far less than those paid by private companies.

This is also the reason why many scientists of the Xia Science Academy in later generations have sought cooperation with private companies and even worked for private companies. There is no way. Although the iron rice bowl is very stable, there is too little oil and water.

However, the three of them are the kind of people whose patriotism and sentiments are greater than money. It would be great if they can realize the dream of a powerful Daxia and at the same time earn a salary that is envied by people all over the world.

So when the two heard that they could enjoy a million-dollar salary, they were very excited and grateful to see Lin Xuan’s attention.

Soon, after the two thanked each other, others turned their attention to God Pan Pan Weiye.
