Reborn As a Snake, I Can Absorb Fear

Chapter 124 Battle Against the Aircraft Carrier FleetSnake Mother foolishly continued to chase after the reconnaissance plane, but Jiang Feng did not.

He continued heading in the reconnaissance plane’s original direction; the plane had suddenly changed course, which was definitely suspicious.

The moment he discovered the reconnaissance plane, Jiang Feng knew there must be an aircraft carrier fleet ahead.

And encountering an aircraft carrier fleet in this sea area was nine times out of ten the USA’s.

He had been worrying about not being able to find the USA, so now that a fleet had delivered itself to his doorstep, there was no reason to miss it.

Given his current size, the fleet posed no threat to him at all, unless they used nuclear weapons.

But would the USA dare to use nuclear weapons to bomb their own people? Even if they dared to, he was confident he could escape.

To prevent the USA fleet from running away, Jiang Feng went full throttle.

Twenty-plus minutes later, his Thermal Sensing detected the fleet.

Jiang Feng rushed over without hesitation.

On the aircraft carrier.

”Major General, that giant beast is rushing over!” the adjutant shouted anxiously.

”Why did it still find us? Didn’t we have the reconnaissance plane change direction?” Major General Marsden roared.

”Major General, the reconnaissance plane did indeed follow orders and change direction. One of the giant beasts has already followed the reconnaissance plane away. Only this one, instead of chasing the reconnaissance plane, has pursued us along the original path. However, the one that caught up is the smaller giant beast.”

The adjutant felt a sense of relief; compared to the larger giant beast, this smaller one was clearly much easier to deal with.

”Shit, damn beast! Open fire! Attack! Blast it to death!”

Major General Marsden knew they couldn’t avoid it and could only try their best to kill or repel the giant beast.

Fortunately, it was the smaller one that had pursued them; if they could slay it, he could achieve a great merit.

After Major General Marsden issued the order to attack with full force.

Four destroyers fanned out, with eight frigates on the flanks.

A roar of engines erupted on the aircraft carrier, and fifty fighter jets took to the sky, forming three attack formations.

The warships and fighter jets all locked onto Jiang Feng.

That massive figure was fast approaching.

Its size was comparable to a destroyer, and it was charging in with terrifying momentum.

Major General Marsden didn’t even need to stare at the radar screen; he could clearly see the giant beast with his own eyes.

”All units, fire! Open fire, everyone!” Major General Marsden roared.

Bang! Bang! Bang! ...

The destroyers’ vertical launch systems were the first to strike, with dozens of anti-ship missiles trailing white smoke, whistling as they headed straight for the giant snake’s head.

At the same time, the frigates’ close-in weapon systems also began to roar, with Phalanx turrets pouring tungsten-core armor-piercing rounds onto the target at a rate of 4,500 rounds per minute.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Boom! ...

The explosions were deafening, and fire and smoke instantly swallowed Jiang Feng’s upper body.

On the bridge, the soldiers held their breath, waiting for the smoke to clear, hoping to see the giant snake’s mangled body.

Major General Marsden clenched his fists, his palms covered in sweat.

He didn’t know if it was excitement or anxiety.

Suddenly, Major General Marsden’s breath hitched; he saw a figure walking out of the smoke.

It was a white figure, its white scales shimmering in the smoke, clearly appearing before everyone.

The gunfire ceased abruptly, and the soldiers stared at the figure in disbelief.

There wasn’t a single scratch on the white scales; the firepower that could destroy a reinforced concrete building hadn’t even left a mark on the white snake.

”How is that possible?” Major General Marsden exclaimed in terror and loss of composure.

[fear points + 80] [fear points + 70] ...

Countless fear points converged toward Jiang Feng, and he felt a wave of satisfaction inside.

He could actually have dodged that round of shells just now, but he didn’t.

He wanted to see if his scales could withstand missiles, and the result was obvious.

Ordinary missiles couldn’t cause him any harm at all; they couldn’t even leave a scratch on his scales.

Except for nuclear weapons, he could now ignore any thermal weapons.

His sixty-centimeter-thick scales were his source of confidence.

Jiang Feng even felt that Snake Mother’s defense might not be as strong as his; perhaps after molting one more time, he could survive in a nuclear blast zone.

Moreover, Jiang Feng still had the Star Shield skill he hadn’t used yet. Using Star Shield along with his own scales, unless it was the very center of a nuclear blast, he would definitely be able to survive at the edge of the core explosion area.

However, if he needed to use Star Shield, he might as well just use Star Escape Technique.

Jiang Feng also found that Star Shield was currently of almost no use to him.

Just then, Jiang Feng saw dozens of fighter jets in the sky dropping shells on him all at once.

A new round of attacks came at him again; clearly, the people of the USA hadn’t given up.

Jiang Feng sneered; did they really think he was just a living target?

Jiang Feng moved his snake body, shooting at extreme speed toward a nearby frigate.

The frigate was less than a hundred meters long, and in front of Jiang Feng, it had become a tiny toy.

Jiang Feng gave it a gentle nudge with his snake head, and the force of several thousand tons sent the frigate flying out of the water, after which it flipped 180 degrees and capsized in the sea.

”Ah!” The soldiers on the frigate were thrown into the air and scattered, falling into the sea like raindrops.

[fear points + 100] ...

Bang! Bang! Boom! Whoosh! The fighter jets’ missiles, cannons, and bombs kept falling toward Jiang Feng. Although they knew it was futile, they still wanted to make a final struggle.

Many soldiers who had fallen from the frigate into the seawater were blown to pieces by the fighter jets’ shells.

No one sympathized with them; if the giant snake wasn’t killed, they wouldn’t be able to survive in the water either.

The soldiers on nearby ships felt a sense of sorrow for their fallen comrades, perhaps it would be their turn next.

Jiang Feng temporarily ignored the annoying fighter jets in the air.

He wanted to deal with them one by one.

Jiang Feng arrived next to another frigate again. This time, Jiang Feng didn’t nudge it; he just brushed past the frigate and then gently swung his snake tail, directly flipping the frigate over.

Jiang Feng quickly swept past one frigate after another; the frigates were like paper boats, easily flipped and sunk by Jiang Feng.

Countless soldiers fell into the sea, some of whom were directly smashed into pulp by Jiang Feng.

Cries and wails resounded throughout this sea area, and even the sounds of gunfire seemed to be suppressed.

On the aircraft carrier. Major General Marsden’s eyes were wide with rage, and his whole body was trembling.

He knew the giant beast was strong, but he hadn’t expected it to be this strong.

Apart from nuclear weapons, what else could possibly deal with this kind of giant beast?

But right now, if he had the nuclear submarine launch a nuclear missile, then he would have to die along with the giant beast.

”Major General, the giant beast is unrivaled. What should we do?” The adjutant was anxious at his side.

”Run, scatter and run! Have all the ships disperse and flee!”

Major General Marsden ultimately could not bring himself to make the decision to use nuclear weapons; fleeing separately might offer a glimmer of hope.

The ships began to scatter and flee, and Jiang Feng immediately noticed.

He didn’t care at all; none of these ships would be able to escape.

But Jiang Feng’s gaze was not fixed on the fleeing destroyers and frigates, but rather locked tightly onto the behemoth behind them that carried the fighter jets.
