People are Behind the Scenes, and I Can Do the Material Fusion!

138: Sending people into the abyssNext, Su Yi used a golden material to create a brand-new Golden Fusion Subsystem through the random fusion subsystem, and then handed it over to his clone.

He did this not for any other reason, but because he considered that although the clone’s overall strength was considerable, only a few of its leading parts were truly powerful, while the other parts of the clone still seemed too weak.

Just at this time, his number of golden materials had already exceeded ten thousand, and after experiencing the power of colorful materials, these golden materials seemed to be no longer so important to him.

Instead of letting them sit idle, it would be better to directly distribute them to the clones to enhance their strength.

After arranging everything, Su Yi’s mind stirred, and he instantly arrived in the Underworld.

Before his eyes was a chaotic scene—countless departed souls densely packed the entire Underworld space, aimlessly drifting, completely without order.

Su Yi did not hesitate at all and decided to immediately carry out a thorough upgrade of this incomplete Underworld.

It turned out that when he fused the colorful materials previously, he fused the Creation Book.

However, this thing did not directly enhance his power or abilities; instead, it was more like a knowledge base, meticulously recording the process of the world’s birth and evolution.

If he were given enough time and energy, he could even use this book to create a complete world!

And now, he only needed to use it to perfect this immature Underworld.

For Su Yi, although this matter would take a little time, it was by no means difficult.

He stood steadily in the center of the Underworld, his eyes slightly closed, adjusting his breathing, and the power within him began to flow silently.

This power originated from the Creation Book, like a surging river, roaring and surging through his meridians.

After taking a deep breath, Su Yi slowly raised his hands, his movements elegant and full of ritual, as if performing a sacred ceremony.

When he fully opened his palms, countless golden runes burst forth from his palms like a fountain, each one shining with dazzling light, as brilliant as stars adorning the night sky.

These runes did not scatter randomly; instead, as if possessing Life, they intertwined and entangled in the air, finally forming an extremely complex network.

This network constantly expanded and contracted, displaying an incredible dynamic beauty, as if it possessed an independent consciousness, operating according to some mysterious law.

Su Yi quietly watched the complex network woven from runes before him, and chanted in a low voice:

”The first step is to construct the Ghost Gate. This gate will connect countless spaces, accepting the departed souls.”

As soon as his voice fell, the runes in the network vibrated violently.

They rapidly merged and reorganized, as if imbued with Life, and finally condensed into a tall and majestic golden gate.

This gate pierced the clouds, its surface covered with mysterious patterns and ancient characters.

A thin layer of mist lingered around it, adding a sense of solemnity and mystery.

After completing all this, Su Yi looked at the golden gate before him and fell into a brief contemplation.

He always felt that this did not quite resemble the facade that the Underworld should have.

So, he began to adjust the appearance of the gate again.

The gate, which originally emitted sacred light and was exquisitely carved, gradually became eerie and terrifying, as if shrouded in an evil force.

The decorations on the gate also changed accordingly; the originally elegant and delicate patterns twisted into hideous ghost figures, sending shivers down one’s spine.

Seeing this change, Su Yi nodded with satisfaction.

This was how the Ghost Gate of the Underworld should look.

Next, Su Yi stretched out his palm, preparing to further expand the scope of the Underworld.

He knew in his heart that although the current Underworld was already sufficient to accommodate the existing souls, over time, more departed souls would inevitably pour in.

Thus, he slowly opened his hands, palms facing upwards, and an invisible force surged from his body.

The entire Underworld trembled accordingly, and the dim sky infinitely stretched outwards like a torn curtain.

”In the name of Creation, reshape the Netherworld!” Su Yi whispered.

As these words left his mouth, the boundaries of the Underworld rapidly expanded, like an inflating balloon.

The originally crowded souls suddenly found that their surroundings had become incredibly vast, and other departed souls that were once within reach were now several miles away.

At the same time, the land began to extend, mountains rose from the ground, and a turbid yellow river appeared out of nowhere, winding through this newly formed land.

”This is the River of Oblivion, cleansing memories of past lives.”

Su Yi lightly tapped his fingertip, and countless small boats immediately appeared on the river surface.

On each boat stood a blurry figure, holding a long pole, quietly waiting for the arrival of the departed souls.

Subsequently, magnificent buildings successively stood tall—the Hall of Judges, Youdu City, the Eighteen Layers of Hell…

Each place exuded an ancient and majestic aura, as if it had existed there since ancient times, witnessing the passage of endless years.

Most conspicuous was a large stone bridge spanning the River of Oblivion, its body glowing with a bluish-black luster, its surface covered with complex runes.

”The Bridge of No Return. Those who cross this bridge will have their past lives become like smoke.”

Su Yi surveyed his work with satisfaction, but soon his brows slightly furrowed—something still seemed to be missing.

Hmm… Reincarnation?

However, he quickly shook his head, secretly dismissing this thought.

After all, for him, the number of people was prestige!

If a reincarnation system were created, sending people away would be equivalent to losing a new soul.

The opportunity for a new person to join would be taken by an old one, which would be a bit of a loss.

Therefore, it was better not to create this reincarnation.

Besides, the current Underworld was already large enough to accommodate these people indefinitely.

Thinking this, Su Yi turned and returned to the surface.

But after returning, he fell into a brief confusion.

What should he do next?

It seemed there was no clear goal anymore.

For Su Yi, the most important thing at the moment seemed to be only two words:

Waiting.

The threat of the gods had been lifted, and the Abyss seemed very weak; he probably wouldn’t send clones there again, right?

After all, losing a clone last time was a significant cost.

However…

Since he wasn’t going, could he find some people from Blue Star to explore the way?

For example… Blood Skyhawk?

For some reason, he seemed to only remember this guy on Blue Star, perhaps because the impression was too deep.

The commotion he caused in the island nation was indeed significant, but on second thought, sending him in didn’t seem to make much sense.

What about the new members of those organizations he had taken in?

Alas, they were too weak; they would probably die even before they had time to drink water if they went in.
