She went up to the 9th floor first.

When the others heard the alarm and were still panicking about what had happened, she quickly walked into the female washroom and entered a cubicle. She gritted her teeth and pulled out the 20-centimeter-long steel needle on her right arm.

Blood spewed out and wet her sleeve. Face pale, Qiao Nian tore off the T-shirt’s inside fabric and tied it under the wound to temporarily stop the blood.

She threw the steel needle on the ground and silently left the washroom. Then, she hurriedly pressed down on her baseball cap, turned into the stairwell again, and went to the 11th floor.

Turning the corner and seeing a lone female employee, she rushed over to cover the other party’s mouth, knocked her out, and dragged her into the washroom.

...
This time, she did not enter the female washroom. Instead, she chose the male washroom. She swapped her clothes with the female employee and put her sitting outside the first cubicle of the washroom. Next, she closed the window of the washroom to prevent the other party from catching a cold while unconscious.

Only now did she put her baseball cap on the other party’s head, took off the female employee’s glasses, and put them on before unhurriedly walking out.

The entire building was filled with shrill alarms.

Not everyone knew what had happened. They only knew that it was not a good thing.

Everyone’s attention was on the alarm. No one paid attention when Qiao Nian appeared in her uniform, nor did they see her take out the fire alarm hammer and hit the fire alarm.

When everyone got drenched by the sprinklers, she shouted, “… Fire!”

At this moment, everyone’s nerves were tense.

Everyone was scared out of their wits when they were suddenly splashed by the sprinklers above their heads. Coupled with someone shouting about a fire, everyone panicked to the extreme.

At this moment, someone shouted, “Run! Run downstairs!”

The others suddenly found their backbone and ran downstairs without taking their things.

One person going down alone might be eye-catching. However, with dozens and hundreds of people running down, one person was like a drop of water falling into the sea, completely unremarkable.

The commotion on the 11th floor also affected the other floors. Some people saw others looking down and running. Although they didn’t know what was going on, they also ran down in fear.

More and more people went down.

No one paid attention as an unfamiliar face in a uniform and rimless glasses blended in and followed them to the first floor.

Shadow rushed to the vault and opened the door to find it empty. There was no sign of Qiao Nian.

He knew that she had run away.

He immediately blocked the elevator, intending to block everyone coming down this way.

However, he soon realized that Qiao Nian did not use the elevator. He thought of the emergency exit stairs and led his men from the first to the eighth floor.

Surprisingly, there was still no trace of Qiao Nian.

Shadow realized something and led his men upstairs.

They soon found a bloody steel nail in the bathroom on the ninth floor. Shadow ordered a search of the entire floor but could not find the girl.

He rubbed the space between his eyebrows, forcing himself to calm down and continue searching.

On the 10th floor, they went straight to the bathroom.

However, this time, the bathroom was spick clean. There was nothing wrong with it.

On the 11th floor, the female washroom was still empty.

However, his subordinates quickly reported the news to him.

“There’s a female employee in the men’s washroom unconscious in the aisle. Her clothes have also been changed…”

Shadow immediately reacted and said sternly, “Take me there!”
