Supreme Parasite: Becoming a God Starting with Parasitizing the School Beauty

130: Chapter 130 Devouring a DemigodThis might be entirely possible.

After all, judging by Ling Yichen’s current state, he has an increasing sense of belonging to the human race of this world and has developed feelings for those around him.

If the second personality, which had fused with the will of the Zerg, were gone, Ling Yichen’s personality would be very stable.

Even if he were to discover the truth in the future and become filled with resentment toward humanity, he would not go so far as to wipe out the entire human race.

At the very least, some embers of the race could be preserved.

Therefore, all they needed to do was erase the second personality within Ling Yichen.

The existence of the second personality was like a bomb, capable of causing Ling Yichen to completely turn dark and descend into chaos at any moment.

However, Ling Yichen, representing the will of the Zerg, smiled confidently and replied, ”It doesn’t matter. Even if you truly intend to sacrifice yourselves to the heavens, I don’t care if you wish to erase me, because I simply cannot die. I have at least that much confidence.”

Having said that, he swore directly to the heavens, ”I swear, if I destroy the human race in the future without leaving behind a single ember, I shall be erased by the laws of heaven and earth!”

As his voice fell, the entire golden hall trembled, and then the void twisted as an inexplicable force was applied to Ling Yichen, who represented the will of the Zerg.

Then, a pure black Worm quietly emerged from Ling Yichen’s body, as if squeezed out by some force.

Immediately afterward, a golden pattern appeared on its ink-black body; once the golden pattern formed, all the strange phenomena dissipated.

With that, Zhan Teng and Yuan Hai smiled in unison, then looked at Ling Yichen, who represented the will of the Zerg.

”Very well, the deal is struck; we can pass away immediately!”

As they spoke, the two walked back to the chessboard, sat facing each other, and exchanged a smile.

Zhan Teng said, ”Old friend, we have known each other for a thousand years. If there is an afterlife, I hope you and I will still be close friends!”

Upon hearing this, Yuan Hai immediately replied, ”If there is an afterlife, I hope you and I will still be close friends!”

Having said that, the two gazed at each other, and then a white flame appeared upon their bodies.

Amidst this white flame, they slowly closed their eyes.

The flames grew increasingly intense until they burned away to reveal an incomparably pure spiritual energy, at which point the white flames completely dissipated.

The spiritual energy within the entire golden hall instantly intensified several times over.

Ling Yichen, representing the will of the Zerg, saw this and immediately revealed a look of joy, then walked behind Zhan Teng and slowly sat down.

Many Worms immediately surged from his body, covering Zhan Teng’s form, while a portion also flowed toward Yuan Hai’s body.

When the Worms completely covered the two old men’s bodies, Ling Yichen’s brows suddenly furrowed, and his body began to tremble once more.

However, this time, it only trembled a few times before returning to normal.

Ling Yichen returned to his usual self—calm, peaceful, and composed about everything.

Yet, when he saw that he was in the midst of devouring the two old men’s bodies, he reacted like a startled rabbit.

”What happened? What is going on here? Why have the two seniors passed away?”

His voice was filled with astonishment and confusion, but even more so with accusation.

He knew that the second personality had been fighting for control of his body; he had realized long ago that there was a second consciousness within him.

Back then, he was still in a cage, often fainting because he could not endure the abuse.

Yet, every time he woke up after fainting, several days would inexplicably have passed; he had assumed he had spent that time unconscious.

But slowly, he began to notice something amiss.

Because after each time he fainted, staff members would invariably be injured, and those staff members would look at him with wariness.

At that time, he had vaguely realized that something was wrong with him.

In the days that followed, this situation became increasingly severe, until his body was completely transformed into that of the Zerg, and he saw with his own eyes his body split into two.

The other one was clearly vicious and cruel, immediately pouncing on the staff of the Celestial God Laboratory.

From that point on, he truly confirmed that he possessed a second personality.

Furthermore, the second personality could directly separate from his body.

However, its survival time after separating was very limited—only about three minutes.

Once it exceeded three minutes, that separated body would completely die.

The people at the Celestial God Laboratory conducted much targeted research on this, and the results showed that the separated body would consume the Worm’s primal power in a very short time; within three minutes at most, the primal power would be exhausted, and it would completely die.

In other words, the second personality that separated from his body could not exist independently at all.

It had to be parasitic within the host body.

Since then, he and the second personality had reached an agreement to coexist peacefully.

He could occasionally let it come out for a stroll, but it could not interfere with his normal life, nor could it easily be revealed in front of others.

Because this was also one of his trump cards.

Just imagine: if you were fighting someone and suddenly split into another version of yourself—even if only for three minutes—it would have the same strength as the original body.

Such a tactic in battle would absolutely have miraculous effects.

So, from that point on, the second personality remained well-behaved.

Although it would pop out from time to time, those who did not know him had no idea that the second personality had appeared.

However, today!

This guy had actually broken the agreement and directly fought him for control of his body.

What was most outrageous was that these two seniors seemed to know of the second personality’s existence; while he and the second personality were fighting for control of his body, they had helped the second personality seal him away, causing him to fall into a deep sleep.

Upon waking up, he was met with this current scene.

As his questioning ended, the next second, he put on a different face.

”Nothing much. These two old things have lived for too long. They called you here before they died just so you could devour their bodies and strengthen yourself.”

”Of course, they also made a request: after you devour them, you must protect the embers of the human race so they are not extinguished.”

The next second, Ling Yichen returned to his normal appearance.

He did not speak again, but silently analyzed the situation before him.

Naturally, he would not completely believe the second personality’s words.

If it were just that simple, why would they have sealed him away? Why not let him hear their conversation?

Furthermore, if it were only a transaction of this nature, they could have spoken to him directly; why did they insist on speaking with the second personality?

Regarding this, Ling Yichen had his own conjectures.

”These two old men might be setting up a plan that requires my dark, bloody side. It’s possible the second personality’s words were half-true and half-false. So, the two old men truly want me to preserve the embers of the human race, but why talk to my dark side?”

”Could it be... that they are certain I will lose control under specific circumstances?”

”Then... what is this specific circumstance?”

”Did the human race do something terrible to me, making me extremely disgusted with them? Disgusted to the point of losing control and being taken over by the second personality?”

”Then... in what situation would the human race make me feel extreme disgust?”

Ling Yichen’s pupils suddenly constricted, and a bold thought quietly emerged: ”Could it be... that the humans of the Celestial God Laboratory? Or rather, that humans participated in my imprisonment and abuse during the Celestial God experiment!”

Upon thinking of this, Ling Yichen’s entire aura shifted.

A surging, baleful aura welled up, and the second personality was even more eager to stir.

But immediately, Ling Yichen took a deep breath and stabilized his emotions.

”No, that shouldn’t be it. Given the current state of affairs between the human race and the God race, it’s impossible for them to have joined forces. So... what could the human race have done with the God race?”

Ling Yichen gritted his teeth, thinking silently.

The information he currently possessed was insufficient, and what he could deduce was limited.

However, it could be basically determined that the human race owed him a great debt; otherwise, the two old men would not have been willing to offer their own bodies to him!!

And the only thing he cared about was the six years of imprisonment and abuse he suffered at the Celestial God Laboratory.

Then it could be concluded that the human race might have had a hand in this matter!

Thinking of this, a fierce light flashed in Ling Yichen’s eyes.

Truly, he could forgive many mistakes, but this particular matter was a hurdle he could never overcome in his entire life!

Six years of imprisonment and abuse, lingering between life and death several times—that painful memory could never be erased!

Every person or god who participated in this matter must die!

Once his strength was sufficient, he would definitely retaliate—tenfold, a hundredfold, a thousandfold.

Thinking of these things, he looked up at the two demigod bodies.

Although he could not know what agreement the two demigods and the second personality had reached, since they had voluntarily offered their bodies, he would accept their offering with a clear conscience.

Moreover, these were two demigod bodies.

Once he devoured them, to what extent would his own body transform?

Any conspiracy would pale in comparison to powerful strength!

Any hatred could also be repaid with powerful strength!

Therefore, increasing his strength was the most important thing!

Thinking of this, he became somewhat uncontrollably ecstatic.

At this moment, nothing was more important than increasing his strength.

Immediately, he stopped overthinking and began to devour the two demigod bodies with all his might.

However, he soon discovered that these demigod bodies were very difficult to devour.

After reaching the demigod level, their physical strength had reached an astonishing degree; whether it was their skin, muscles, or bones, they were frighteningly tough.

In the past, when he devoured others, he had always finished very quickly.

But now, he encountered great resistance even when trying to break through the demigods’ skin.

It was like a toothless infant trying to gnaw on a piece of cured meat—it was quite a struggle!

However, this was to be expected; after all, they were demigods. If they were as easy to devour as other rabble, then they couldn’t be called demigods.

He was not in a hurry, but instead chipped away at it, wore it down, and gnawed at it bit by bit, until the epidermis softened and was completely breached.

As the epidermis broke, Ling Yichen finally tasted the demigod’s flesh and blood; although it was only a tiny amount, it caused him to let out a shout of extreme excitement.

”Ah, as expected of demigod flesh and blood—it’s so powerful!”

He had only devoured a tiny bit of the demigod’s flesh and blood, yet it immediately caused the Worms within his body to evolve on a massive scale; at least a thousand Worms evolved into Spirit Worms. This scale of evolution was terrifyingly immense.

It was hard to imagine what level his Worms would evolve to once he completely devoured these two demigod bodies!

With this incentive, he worked even harder, devouring with all his might!

...

Time passed bit by bit.

While he was fully engaged in devouring the demigod bodies, he lost track of the passage of time, obsessed with the power and wonder of the demigod remains.

So, when he had completely devoured one of the demigod bodies, he was shocked to discover that he had spent a full month and a half.

However, upon thinking of his gains, he felt relieved.

Although it had taken a month and a half to complete the devouring of one demigod body, he had already undergone earth-shaking changes.

The flesh and blood of the demigod body had caused all the Worms within his body to evolve into Spirit Worms; this was a qualitative leap.

Only at this moment could he accurately calculate how many Zerg made up his body.

A full 36 million!

I don’t know if it’s a coincidence, but this number happens to be exactly one celestial cycle.

At this point, he possessed over 20 million Spirit Worms, 10 million Intelligence Worms, several million King Insects, and tens of thousands of Saint Insects within his body!

Yes, Saint Insects had finally been born within his body.

This was also his greatest surprise!

According to the Zerg inherited memories he possessed, one step further would be the evolutionary limit of the Worm: the [God Insect].

Once he evolved into a God Insect, his body should be no different from that of a demigod.

Thinking of this, he was quite excited and could not help but turn his gaze toward the remaining demigod body.

Then, without hesitation, he began the second round of devouring.

Because he urgently wanted to evolve into a God Insect.

Once a God Insect appeared, demigods would no longer be invincible.

...

The devouring process was still very slow, but it was much faster than when he had devoured the first one.

As he devoured this demigod body bit by bit, time seemed to be wound up with an accelerator, passing rapidly.

By the time he had completely devoured the second demigod body, another month had passed.

The demigod’s flesh and blood nourished the Worms within his body, causing them to constantly evolve and grow!

At this moment, Ling Yichen was in the midst of a rapid transformation.

Five-colored divine light shone within his body, while red Worms constantly wriggled across his skin.

Soon, these red Worms all began to transform into white Intelligence Worms.

The second demigod body caused the over 20 million Spirit Worms within him to evolve into Intelligence Worms.

Finally, after spending a few more days, all the Spirit Worms within his body completed their evolution and had all transformed into Intelligence Worms.

Ling Yichen’s body also seemed to have turned into a piece of white jade, translucent and warm all over.

He could even clearly see his internal organs.

At this moment, his five internal organs had also undergone earth-shaking changes, all having turned a pale gold color.

Because the Spirit Worms condensed within his five internal organs had long since evolved into higher-level existences—the lowest level now being King Insects—they appeared golden.

Unfortunately, he had failed to evolve a God Insect!

Devouring the second demigod body had only caused all the Spirit Worms to evolve into Intelligence Worms, and had also produced more King Insects and Saint Insects, but a God Insect had still not evolved.

In other words, he had only raised his lower limit, but not his upper limit.

At this point, the lowest-level Worms within his body were Intelligence Worms, while the highest-level ones were Saint Insects.
