Supreme Parasite: Becoming a God Starting with Parasitizing the School Beauty

98: Chapter 98 The Tower of BabelObtaining an Immortal Spirit Young Beast was one thing, but he also gained a small space filled with Immortal Trees and Immortal Plant formed from Immortal Spirit Power, as well as an Immortal Beast corpse and a powerful Immortal Spirit Body.

This time, Ling Yichen could be said to have made a fortune.

So this gratitude was absolutely from the heart.

The old man didn’t mind, just looked at him indifferently and asked, ”Do you want to go out now or continue practicing?”

Ling Yichen hurriedly asked, ”How long have I been in here?”

The old man estimated and replied, ”Eleven hours.”

”Then I’ll practice for a while longer. It’s not easy to come here once, I shouldn’t waste it,” Yichen replied.

The old man nodded slightly, then said nothing and instantly disappeared from the spot.

Meanwhile, Ling Yichen found a spot and continued to practice the Star Origin Guiding Technique.

There were thirteen hours left; he could still cultivate many more stars, so he couldn’t let them go to waste.

Outside the Tower, Long Daoyi was already as anxious as an ant on a hot pan.

The Tenth Martial Uncle had left silently, which made him very fearful, afraid that something had happened to Ling Yichen on the Tenth Floor.

Just as he was so anxious that he wondered if he should find his master, a figure slowly appeared beside him, sat cross-legged, and closed his eyes.

Long Daoyi was startled at first, but when he saw clearly that it was the Tenth Martial Uncle, he immediately asked, ”Martial Uncle, how is my junior brother?”

”He’s fine. You should go back, no need to wait for him. He probably won’t come out today; come back tomorrow morning!”

The old man said indifferently.

Hearing this, Long Daoyi’s eyes widened.

”Come back tomorrow morning? Doesn’t that mean Junior Brother will have practiced for a whole day?”

”On the Tenth Floor, for a whole day?”

At this moment, he was completely dumbfounded.

There weren’t many people who could practice for a full day in the Tower to begin with. On the lower floors it might be fine, but this was the highest Tenth Floor—was he even human?

He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but in the end, he said nothing and left this small world with a strange expression.

Soon, he returned to the Research Institute.

The old man had returned at some point and was lying on that Grandmaster’s Chair, quietly smoking.

Seeing Long Daoyi return, he couldn’t help but ask, ”Has your junior brother returned already?”

Long Daoyi looked up at him and then shook his head, ”No, he’s still practicing!”

The old man was slightly surprised, then showed a look of satisfaction.

”Hmm, not bad, not bad. This kid is indeed very talented to be able to practice in Lu Yuan’s Tower for 12 hours.”

Lu Yuan was the name of the old man in the Tower, and also the old man’s senior brother.

”Master, aren’t you going to ask which floor Junior Brother is practicing on?”

Long Daoyi had an expression like he was watching a show.

The old man didn’t think much of it and replied, ”To be able to practice for so long, it should be on the second floor. Any higher and he wouldn’t be able to last 12 hours.”

Long Daoyi smiled, then walked to the old man, squatted down, and looked at him leisurely, replying, ”The Tenth Floor!”

As soon as these words came out, the old man who was smoking suddenly froze. The next second, he raised his pipe and tapped Long Daoyi’s head lightly.

”You brat, your courage is getting bigger and bigger, daring to trick me!”

Long Daoyi gasped, feeling quite stifled in his heart.

But he still said seriously, ”I’m not. Junior Brother really has been practicing on the Tenth Floor for almost 12 hours, and Tenth Martial Uncle even told me to go pick him up tomorrow morning.”

This time, the old man sat up straight from the Grandmaster’s Chair and asked seriously, ”You’re not lying to me?”

Long Daoyi rubbed his head and said aggrievedly, ”I’m really not lying. If you don’t believe me, go see for yourself!”

As soon as he finished speaking, the old man jumped out of the chair and quickly walked out of the Research Institute.

Before long, the old man arrived outside the Tower.

”Lu Yuan, did my boy really enter the Tenth Floor?”

Lu Yuan, who was guarding the Tower, slowly opened his eyes, glanced at the old man, and then revealed a smile: ”After all these years, you’re finally willing to come find me.”

The old man rolled his eyes at him and said with some resentment, ”I’m not here to see you; I’m here to find my disciple.”

Hearing this, Lu Yuan sighed, ”Little Eleven, are you still angry about what happened back then?”

The old man snorted and didn’t reply, but looked towards the Tenth Floor of the Tower, his eyes full of urgency and concern.

Seeing this, Lu Yuan didn’t hide it and replied, ”That kid is indeed on the Tenth Floor. You’re lucky to have taken in such a good disciple.”

After saying that, he pondered for a moment and continued, ”However, his path is somewhat peculiar. If he grows up, I’m afraid it will cause great chaos in the Human Realm.”

Hearing this, the old man was noncommittal and said with some excitement, ”Chaos is good! This damn Human Realm should have a thorough chaos for once.”

Lu Yuan looked at him with deep eyes and sighed again, ”If the Human Realm falls into great chaos, there’s a risk of total destruction. The crisis we caused back then has already left the Human Realm in a precarious state, barely maintaining the status quo for a hundred years. If it becomes chaotic again, I’m afraid there will really be no place to stand.”

The old man smiled disdainfully, pointed to the sky, and said, ”Why wouldn’t there be? Isn’t it right there?”

”Those bastards enslaved our ancestors and then enslaved us, making us fight to the death down here while they act like tyrants, enjoying the peace and happiness we fought for. Why?”

”I want the Human Realm to be in chaos. I want to nurture someone who can break through that damn Tower.”

”Either we go up to Sky City, or Sky City falls down.”

At this moment, the old man was very emotional, his eyes faintly turning red.

Thinking back to the events of those years, his eyes were full of anger.

Then, he looked at Lu Yuan with dissatisfaction.

”Hmph, if I had your strength, I would have gone to the heavens long ago to avenge Little Junior Sister.”

Hearing this, a rare trace of sadness appeared in Lu Yuan’s cloudy eyes.

”I haven’t forgotten Little Junior Sister’s grudge, but I have my difficulties!”

The old man became even more excited, pointing at Lu Yuan’s nose and cursing, ”Difficulties? You’re just reluctant to let go of Senior Sister. But is Senior Sister willing to talk to you? She would rather stay in the Underground World, guarding the Underground Passage, than be with you. If I were you, I would have gone to find Senior Sister long ago; at least she’s still alive.”

After saying this, both the old man and Lu Yuan fell into silence.

They both seemed to be thinking about events from long ago.

After a moment, the old man’s emotions gradually calmed down. He sighed and said to Lu Yuan, ”Sorry, I got a bit excited.”

Hearing this, Lu Yuan patted his shoulder affectionately and said softly, ”It’s fine. No matter what happens, you are my little junior brother. Those who died are dead, but you are still alive, and Senior Sister is still alive. As long as you and Senior Sister are alive, I will not leave the Human Realm.”

Hearing this, the old man suddenly felt a bit aggrieved, and a mist faintly appeared in his eyes.

Thinking back to those years, how carefree and happy the twelve of them were as fellow disciples, but now, only three were left.

He was cooped up in the Research Institute studying Parasites.

Lu Yuan stayed in this small world, growing old.

Senior Sister was in the Underground World guarding the passage.

Three people who should have been close friends and family hadn’t seen each other for decades.

And the cause of all this was Sky City.

So he hated Sky City extremely and always thought about bringing it down.

Unfortunately, his strength was low, and his heart was willing but his power was lacking.

After a moment of silence, the old man suddenly asked Lu Yuan solemnly, ”Senior Brother, in Sky City... are there really gods?”

Hearing this, Lu Yuan looked up at the void of the high sky, where a city was faintly visible.

He let out a heavy sigh, ”Yes!”

”The stronger one is, the more one can feel that pressure. Someone who can even lock away the sun and moon should be considered a god!”

”The Human Realm does not lack experts; there are those stronger than me. But no one dares to rebel against the heavens; they all silently obey the rules handed down from above.”

”Breaking the rules, breaking the Heaven-Reaching Pagoda... how difficult it is!”

The Heaven-Reaching Pagoda naturally referred to the Trial Tower that could lead directly to Sky City.

It was also the only passage that could lead directly to the heavens.

It was easy for Sky City to come down to the Surface.

But for the Surface to go up to the heavens was extremely difficult.

Besides the limited Six Clan Selection, one could only rely on climbing the Tower to go to the heavens.

But over the years, very few people had succeeded in climbing the Tower.

”Little Eleven, do you know? This little disciple of yours also comes from Sky City, though he seems to have escaped from there.”

Lu Yuan told him some of Ling Yichen’s secrets.

Hearing this, the old man was suddenly stunned.

His strength was not as good as Lu Yuan’s, and there were many things he hadn’t noticed.

Hearing that Ling Yichen came down from Sky City, his expression immediately changed.

The next second, Lu Yuan continued, ”Furthermore, his body has been modified by someone; he’s like a person and like a worm, neither human nor insect. However, the Myriad Worm Body Forging Method you taught him seems to have signs of reversing him back into a human.”

”This Myriad Worm Body Forging Method seems as if it were tailor-made for him; it is truly marvelous.”

Hearing this, the old man was shocked once again.

He was trying hard to digest the information he had received.

After a long time, he cursed under his breath, ”This brat, he actually hid so much from me!”

However, his expression didn’t show any anger; on the contrary, he was very happy, even faintly excited.

”So, the series of Parasite-related events that happened recently were all caused by this kid?” he asked Lu Yuan.

Lu Yuan nodded slightly.

The old man suddenly laughed and then cursed, ”Damn, I’ve been researching this and that, trying to find the source of these Parasites. I didn’t expect it to be right in front of me; I’m truly blind!”

”This bastard kid, just wait until he comes out and see how I deal with him for making me waste so much time in the Discipline Hall!”

After speaking, he glanced at Lu Yuan, and the resentment in his eyes didn’t seem so strong anymore.

”In the future, I’ll have to trouble Senior Brother to help me monitor this kid more. Tell me if there’s any unusual movement.”

His strength was only Upper C-rank. Although his Mental Energy was not bad, he hadn’t cultivated Divine Sense, and he was far from a freak like Lu Yuan who was infinitely close to S-rank. He couldn’t learn the secrets on Ling Yichen’s body, nor could he see through his actions. Everything still had to rely on his senior brother.

Hearing this, Lu Yuan nodded again, a smile in his cloudy eyes.

Because his little junior brother had just called him ”Senior Brother,” which meant their relationship had softened.

This made him very happy, and he couldn’t help but reach out to pat the old man’s head, but he was immediately blocked by the old man’s pipe.

”I’m an old guy over a hundred years old; do you still think I’m a kid in my teens?”

Hearing this, the smile in Lu Yuan’s eyes grew even deeper as he said indifferently, ”No matter how old you are, you are still my little junior brother.”
