Chapter 400: Shellyʼs Whistle and the Dispersing Black Storm

Deep in the ocean

A peculiar submarine navigated through dense underwater vegetation, its propeller stirring the water into gentle currents as it moved forward.

A curious school of fish swam around the submarine. Some darted playfully outside the glass portholes, peeking inside as if trying to understand the strange vessel.

Through a window, a mythological spirit dressed in an inflated suit resembling an astronautʼs drifted about, swaying and wobbling within as if weightless.

Vellen carefully cradled a metallic egg, approaching the Dream Sovereign who had come to the second-level storage to retrieve something.

The golden-haired girl turned her head, her gaze settling on Vellen.

With a gentle smile, she looked at him and asked, ”Have you succeeded?”

Vellen nodded respectfully. ”Lady Hila, I have added another transformation form.”

On Vellenʼs clothing, which might seem eccentric to ordinary people, were cartoon-like doodles of hot air balloons, houses, and submarines. Now, a new pattern of an aircraft had been added.

The Spiritʼs Hot Air Balloon had taken on a new shape, transforming into its aircraft form.
As the mythological spirit of a Miracle Tool, Vellen shared certain traits with spirits. His clothing was inscribed with the characteristics of his own powers, much like the spiritsʼ Light of Wishes.

Vellen appeared delighted, as if gaining a new transformation form was like collecting a cherished card.

While the hot air balloon form could also fly, the aircraft form was more agile and versatile, making it an excellent addition.

”Lady Hila, am I stealing that demon spiritʼs idea?”

Vellen seemed a bit embarrassed, recalling how the Life Sovereign Shelly had been complaining over the past few days about the little spirit stealing her ideas.

Hila shook her head and reassured him, explaining that she had known of the aircraftʼs existence for a long time.

”God knew of this existence long ago, Vellen.”

”In the God-Gifted Era of the Trilobite Man, when everything was still in its infancy, the King of Wisdom Redlichia inscribed the image of the aircraft before the temple.”

”God knows all things yet chooses not to speak of them.”

Hila paused for a moment. Her eyes drifted toward the next level, where God resided and Redlichiaʼs molted shell rested.

”Perhaps it is because God knows of it that this aircraft was born in the river of time.”

”All wisdom and life originate from Yinsai. Everything in His mind reemerges in the flow of history.”

Vellen asked again, ”Lady Hila, should we conceal this aircraft, or should we do something else with it?”

Hila considered for a moment before responding, ”Why not give it to that demon spirit?”

Vellen glanced at the metallic egg and hesitated. ”But it is not the same as it was before.”

The aircraft had been damaged in the storm. When Vellen repaired it, he casually modified it with miraculous power. Now, it no longer required fusion with a demon spirit and could be used directly.

If Ray were to get it back, he might not even recognize it as the one he originally had.

It was uncertain whether this change was for the better or worse. While now accessible to ordinary people, it had lost its compatibility with demon spirits.

At that moment, a figure shrouded in swirling black shadows appeared from the maze of storage cabinets.

The shadows carried her forward, and in an instant, she stood before Hila.

A small girl stepped off a large black hand, which vanished as soon as her feet touched the floor.

Before she could run over, her voice called out from a distance.

”Airplane, airplane~”

”Where did you go, my airplane?”

”Come out, come out, wherever you are!”

When the small girl descended from the black hand, her eyes immediately locked onto the metallic egg.

”Ah!”

”I found it! My airplane!”

This was the first time Hila had heard the term, so she turned to Shelly.

”An airplane?”

”What is that?”

Shelly pointed at the metallic egg and picked it up.

She tapped it with her hand, and the metallic egg began to vibrate. It made a duang sound as it transformed into an aircraft with a wingspan of several meters.

Her small frame held the massive airplane with ease.

”God called it an airplane.”

”If no one else wants it, then Iʼll keep it!”

Hila gave the ”airplane” to Shelly but reminded her, ”Shelly, this belongs to someone else.”

Shelly happily played with her large toy as she answered Hila.

”God gave him another one, so this one is mine!”

Shelly was quite fond of the aircraft.

Even though she could not fly it herself, she found another way to enjoy it.

She lifted the aircraft high and moved through the second level of the vesselʼs cabin, making whooshing sounds with her mouth to mimic the wind.

”Whoosh whoosh!”

The large aircraft seemed completely mismatched with her small frame.

The sight of her effortlessly lifting such a massive iron object with one hand would have been terrifying to ordinary people.

However, as Shelly dashed around the cabin with the oversized aircraft, it was not long before problems arose.

Crash!

A loud bang echoed from the distance as storage cabinets toppled over like a row of dominoes.

The mythological spirit Vellen immediately grew anxious. His shadow vanished in an instant, reappearing at the site of the ”airplane incident.”

He made a flurry of quick movements, holding his head, cupping his chin, swaying rapidly from side to side, and stamping his feet on the ground.

He stared with visible distress at the airplane, now crashed on the floor. Yet he remained frozen in place, hesitant to act, knowing the one responsible was the Life Sovereign divine being.

In short, he looked utterly defeated.

Shelly climbed out from the mess, brushing off her dress and scratching her head.

”Ugh, this place is way too small!”

At this moment, Hila walked over. With a wave of her hand, everything returned to its original state.

”It is meant to fly in the sky. Of course this space is too confined for it.”

”And Shelly, Vellen places great value on his surroundings. Please try not to cause any more damage.”

Vellen said nothing, but he kept waving his hands to signal that it was fine.

Hila took Shellyʼs hand, and together they walked toward the next level.

The mythological spirit Vellen stayed behind, meticulously examining the aftermath to ensure no marks had been left behind. Once he confirmed everything was intact, he exhaled deeply in relief.

In the great hall of the first level, the shadow of God Yinsai gradually took form, appearing on the chair near the fireplace.

He stirred from His slumber, returning from the dimension beyond time.

At that moment, Hila and Shelly entered the great hall. They seemed to be preparing to raise the submarine and go up for some fresh air.

Hila was the first to notice Yin Shen and immediately turned her gaze toward Him.

”God, You are awake.”

Hila continued, ”The scenery below is beautiful, but it feels too somber. We are preparing to go up and take a look.”

Shelly, barely visible behind the massive airplane she was holding, called out cheerfully, ”Weʼre going to take it outside and see how it flies!”

The way she said it, she seemed to intend to treat the airplane as a kite or toss it out like a paper airplane.

God Yinsai glanced at the large toy Shelly had acquired, then rose to His feet.

”Shelly, you have taken something that belongs to someone else. What will you offer in return?”

Shelly immediately set the large airplane aside and looked at Yin Shen.

”Didnʼt You already give him another big airplane?” Shelly asked, crossing her arms.

”Why does he still want more? Heʼs so greedy!”

Yin Shen picked up the cup on the table and took a sip of flower tea.

”That is what I gave.”

”What will you give me in return?”

Shelly had always taken freely from Yin Shen and had never offered anything in return.

Now, hearing Yin Shen ask for something, she immediately pressed a hand over her pocket.

Shelly grew cautious, quickly trying to think of what treasures she might have that she could not afford to lose.

After a moment, she realized she did not have anything of her own. Everything she had came from God Yinsai, Hila, or the little spirits.

She shook her head firmly and replied to Yin Shen.

”I donʼt have anything. Iʼm not like the spirits, who can just make things appear.”

”I really donʼt have anything. Iʼm poor!”

As she spoke, the truth of her words dawned on her.

She pouted, her expression turning unhappy.

”You all can make things, but I canʼt make anything.”

At this, Yin Shen revealed His true purpose.

”Then why not open the door for them ahead of time?”

”Clear the Black Storm and create a path to the outside world.”

Shelly quickly lowered her hands, her face lighting up with excitement.

For her, this task was incredibly easy.

”Then Iʼll have them open the door.”

”No, wait. They canʼt open the door at all. Theyʼre so useless!”

”I had better go myself!”

The submarine surfaced. As the hatch opened, the three Supreme Divine Beings stepped onto the top deck.

In the distance, storms churned violently, but in this area, the skies were clear and bright, untouched by a single cloud.

It seemed as though the ominous clouds dared not intrude upon the view of the Supreme Divine Beings.

Standing at the very front of the submarine, Shelly reached into her black dress and pulled out her whistle.

She carefully wiped it clean with affection before placing it to her lips.

Tweet tweet~

The sovereign divine being, the Mother of Life, blew her whistle.

The whistle itself carried no extraordinary power, but with Shelly blowing it, the effect was profound.

An unseen force radiated outward from the submarine, spreading endlessly in every direction.

A terrifying pressure descended upon Ruhe Beast Island and the vast surrounding sea. The seven Ruhe Great Gods beneath the earth responded to their masterʼs call in unison.

The faint shadows of terrifying dark giant gods coalescing around Ruhe Beast Island began to move, their tentacles waving ominously.

The colossal shadows, stretching from the earth to the sky, shifted into one horrifying posture after another.

These were the demigods of life, the deities known as Ruhe.

The Ruhe Great God named Sele Sea Spirit withdrew its power from beneath the ocean, sinking deep into the trenches of the northern sea.

Its dispersed power gathered once more, connecting with the water veins of the Ice-Sealed Plateau and forming a continuous cycle.

The dark clouds in the sky turned into violent storms and heavy rain, pouring into the ocean. Countless monsters followed, descending into the great trenches of the northern sea.

Some Ruhe Great Gods controlled their power to separate completely from the seaʼs surface. In the eastern region of Ruhe Beast Island, they transformed into mobile rainstorms and thunderclouds. Within the thunder, countless terrifying beings writhed, summoning storms and lightning that mortals saw as divine punishment.

Their power also connected with Thunder Marsh, endlessly drawing moisture from the ocean to create rainfall that nourished all of Ruhe Beast Island.

In the southern seas, volcanoes erupted one after another, forming new miniature islands. These islands and volcanic structures were the offspring of the Lava Monster.

Venturing into these islands could lead to rare discoveries or a perilous journey with no return.

Under the sound of the whistle, a series of strange phenomena unfolded across the vast sea.

The Ruhe Beasts began to regain control over their power, steadily gathering the immense divine energy that had once spread uncontrollably for tens of thousands of miles.

As a result, the massive storm that had covered the vast expanse was gradually subdued.

Soothed by the whistle, the Ruhe Beasts drifted into a deep slumber, allowing the passage to the outside world to open.

This sea area was still incredibly dangerous.

Countless unknown threats lurked within the fading storm, merely concealed from view.

The storm had dissipated, but the force that created it had not vanished. Instead, it had taken on a new, condensed form, waiting.

The terrifying creatures had not disappeared. They had only retreated beneath the surface, sinking into a deep slumber.

If anyone dared to disturb their rest, they would face the most dreadful consequences.

Only those with the greatest courage, willing to confront the unknown, could traverse this sea and uncover the true path to the outside world.

These daring individuals would one day become legends remembered in history.

Atop the submarine, Shelly lowered her whistle and carefully tucked it away.

She clapped her hands together and turned to the Creator in white robes with a bright smile.

”All done!”

Her expression seemed to say, ”See? Iʼm amazing, right?”

Shelly grinned and said, ”The whistle is plenty. If I used my Mother Conch of All Things, they would probably be scared out of their minds.”

It was possible it would do more than simply frighten them.

With that, the entire world would tremble.

This was not limited to Ruhe Beast Island but extended to places far beyond its borders.

Ruhe Beast Island, Abyss Royal City of the Endless Desert

The demon spirits who had just seen Ray off on his second journey still often stood on the city walls, gazing into the distance.

They hoped not to see Ray return empty-handed, but at the same time, they worried more about the possibility of not seeing him return at all.

In the Yinsai Temple of the Abyss Royal City, Elena knelt in prayer to God Yinsai.

The cloaked doll clasped her hands. Beneath her hood, the layered phantom faces closed their eyes in unison, each silently offering heartfelt prayers to the Creator God.

”God Yinsai, Supreme Creator, I ask You to watch over the People of the Abyss. Please safeguard the descendants of the King of Wisdom Redlichia.”

”Thank You for granting us a new miracle and for leading Ray toward the future.”

”In this era, I humbly ask for Your continued guidance.”

Although she never voiced it, always maintaining a proud and stern demeanor like a knight with a heart of steel, she still worried for Ray in private.

The God of Demon Spirits Elena was deep in prayer when a sudden sensation made her open her eyes.

She stepped out of the Demon Spirit Realm and emerged outside the Yinsai Temple in the physical world, her gaze fixed on the distant sea.

”What is happening?”

The God of Demon Spirits expanded her spirituality and perceived the true events unfolding.

She witnessed the world shrouded in darkness, with nearly infinite life divine power supporting Ruhe Beast Island. The power radiating from the island as its center was transforming into endless storms.

At that moment, she sensed the terrifying aura that had enveloped Ruhe Beast Island beginning to retreat.

It was withdrawing from the surface into the depths, and the omnipresent dark power was parting to create a path to the outside world.

”This is...”

Elena raised her head and saw the manifestation of the seven giant godsʼ power and will.

Shadows loomed one after another, blocking out the sky. Plants stretched to infinite heights, their umbrella-like canopies spreading to cover the heavens. The seas churned as colossal bodies of unimaginable length moved beneath the waves.

The seven giant gods stood towering, their immense power blanketing the mortal realm.

It was the Mother of Life who had commanded them to create this massive island. They were tasked with guarding this sanctuary, the birthplace of life in the Second Era, left behind to remain in the mortal world.

Now, the Mother of Life had issued a divine decree once more.

Elena raised her head, looking at the giant godsʼ shadows as she turned to take in all of Ruhe Beast Island.

Finally, her gaze pierced beyond the seven giant gods and settled on the Demon God whose immense power enveloped the entire world, consuming the sun and moon.

In that moment, the terrifying Demon God seemed to stir.

Its overwhelming gaze descended from unimaginable heights, and the seven Ruhe gods immediately withdrew their power. They became as meek as newborn beasts, trembling under that presence.

The Demon Godʼs hands, which had consumed the sun, reached down and pressed upon the mortal ocean.

The storm came to an abrupt halt, and the giant gods whimpered under the crushing force of sovereign power.

Though the God of Demon Spirits Elena was shaken by this terrifying power, she also felt it was entirely fitting. After all, this was the Ruler of Life.

”The Mother of Life has dispersed the storm.”

The God of Demon Spirits Elena immediately understood what had happened and grasped the deeper meaning behind it.

The Mother of Life had appeared in the mortal world to issue such a decree. As the eldest daughter of the Creator, she must have been acting on the will of that supreme eternal star.

This also confirmed that everything Oran had said was true. The Creator was indeed present in the mortal world.

”God Yinsai, You have truly descended once more!”

Elena thought back to the previous era. The legend of the Creator walking among mortals originated in the God-Gifted Era.

It was the time of the King of Wisdom Redlichia, a period when God Yinsai was deeply engaged with the mortal world.

”Is it because You are satisfied with this era and feel a sense of anticipation?”

For a moment, as she watched the Black Storm gradually disperse, Elenaʼs heart swelled with hope for this era.

She recalled Rayʼs words, a declaration brimming with belief in the future.

”If not for survival, then let us forge the future in pursuit of our dreams!”

”The future of the demon spirit race may lie right here.”

”In this age, we are no longer bound by the chains of mere survival, nor paralyzed by uncertainty about what lies ahead. We have the freedom to step boldly forward, to create, to explore, and to shape our own path!”

”We can become adventurers, inventors, and visionaries. The future is ours to define, and nothing shall hold us back!”

When the Supreme Yinsai descended to the mortal world and looked upon this era with anticipation, the world would undoubtedly rise to meet His expectations.

Elena smiled softly. In that moment, she could see the future of the demon spirit race.

”Will the demon spirit race become adventurers and inventors, a civilization that explores the future?”

”In the previous era, we fought for survival. In this era, we shall strive to become a truly great civilization.”

The demon spirit race did not inherit the bloodline of the People of the Abyss. However, they carried forward the foundation of Abyss civilization, stepping into a future built upon its legacy.

Sunrise Mountains, Sky Miracle Garden

Waterfalls cascaded downward. Among clusters of Cups of Desire, the silver-robed ancient deity stood beneath the Rainbow Tree.

The God of Desire and Alchemy Iva looked out, his gaze fixed on the vast, boundless azure of the distant sea.

He watched as God Yinsai lifted the bindings that had held Ruhe Beast Island.

At the same time, he glimpsed the path that would shape the future of the Second Era.

”The Supreme Divine Being has opened the door.”

”The era of the sea is upon us.”

Across the endless sea, on another continent

On the Avel Peninsula, in the Kingdom of Knowledge above the sea of clouds.

A Trilobite Man ghost beneath the Door of Truth observed the scene with a solemn expression.

”The door has opened,” he said, his voice steady. ”Yet God remains in slumber.”

Polik raised his hand, revealing the Mark of Truth etched upon its back. His gaze lingered on it for a moment.

”Nevertheless, I am still here.”

Upon the great sea

Ray piloted the brand-new aircraft through the clouds. This Miracle Tool activated a special ability when it soared above the cloud layer, opening the Dream Realm.

Trailing colored light, it weaved through the sea of clouds as Ray performed various flying maneuvers high above.

In the back seat, a demon spirit with a glass shell and a large brain sat quietly. Behind the airplane, a beautiful kite was towed, gliding gracefully within the Dream Realm.

After flying for a long time, a Black Storm appeared again in the distance.

Ray immediately made adjustments, turning his head to shout at Number Two and Number Three.

”Ready?”

”Weʼre entering the Storm Sea!”

Number Two seemed to be dozing. The flame inside his glass dome swayed as his two glass hands pressed down on his large brain.

”Huh? Weʼre there already?”

The kite demon spiritʼs voice came through. ”Keep flying. If something happens again, just hold onto me. I can still carry you back.”

Ray laughed heartily. ”It wonʼt happen again this time.”

The kite demon spirit asked, ”Are you sure we can fly out this time?”

Ray patted his new aircraft. ”Even if we canʼt, we can hide in the Dream Realm. Once we gather our strength, weʼll return to reality and keep going.”

Although Ray had lost his alchemical aircraft, he had quickly regained his former Miracle Tool aircraft.

This aircraft was clearly better suited for him, designed perfectly for exploration and flight.

It became his most reliable tool for travel and adventure.

In the balance of loss and gain, it felt as though someone was quietly guiding him forward.

Ray pushed the aircraft to its limits, speeding toward the black storm. Everyone braced themselves, fully alert.

The aircraft surged forward, but something unusual began to happen.

No matter how fast they flew, the black storm seemed to stay just out of reach. They gave it everything they had, yet the storm always remained at the same distance.

The three demon spirits exchanged confused glances, unable to make sense of the situation.

It was only after they came to a stop that Ray took a closer look and finally understood.

”The Black Storm has dispersed!”

Ray, Number Two, and Number Three were silent at first. Then, Ray and Number Two burst into cheers as the kite demon spirit circled around them.

Even though they had prepared strategies, the thought of the Black Storm and the horrifying monsters lurking within still sent shivers down their spines. The chance to avoid confronting such terrifying forces was a relief beyond words.

Amid their cheers, Rayʼs adventure team soared rapidly through the sky, accelerating toward the horizon.

They had no way of knowing if the Black Storm had dispersed temporarily or if it was gone for good. They did not know how long this window of opportunity would last.

All they could do was seize the moment and push forward as fast as possible, making the most of this rare chance.

Ray did not notice that something unusual had surfaced in the distant sea.

Several figures stood atop it, silently observing him.

Meanwhile, Shelly was busy tossing her large toy airplane like a paper airplane, watching it glide and circle through the air.

Hila stood next to Yin Shen, her gaze fixed on Rayʼs figure as he disappeared over the horizon.

”God, they actually want to fly to the place where the sun rises.”

This goal seemed somewhat amusing to the Supreme Divine Beings, as the sun did not truly rise from the east. It was the world itself that rotated.

Everyone in this world, including the mortal deities, believed the sun rose from the east.

Some even thought that by traveling east, they could get closer to the sun.

Hila, however, felt that while this ideal might seem dreamlike and difficult to achieve, the act of chasing such an illusory goal carried a certain romantic charm.

The Creator in white robes watched the aircraft merge with the sea of clouds until it was a single line, gradually disappearing into light and shadow.

”He will not reach the place where the sun rises, but he will find other things.”

Rayʼs adventure team would keep flying eastward.

They would fly out of the Storm Sea, reach sea areas no one had ever explored, and then cross through those uncharted waters.

Little did he know that this world was a sphere.

As he flew desperately eastward, he would eventually find himself heading west, toward the place where everyone believed the sun set.

There lay the Land of Light, the home of the Winged People.

It was the place the Winged People had ultimately reached after migrating westward since their creation.

One traveled endlessly east, the other endlessly west.

In the end, they would meet at the same destination.
