5: The script is flawed; torture and murder should be done this way. After thinking through all the happiest moments of his life, Chen Xiaochun took the initiative to ask to start filming.

The sooner it was over, the sooner he would be free; after finishing this scene, he never wanted to see this guy again for the rest of his life.

After another ”action,” the First Boss, played by Chen Xiaochun, finally walked steadily toward the Second Boss, played by Lin Pei, in the shot.

The First Boss asked slowly, ”Do you know your mistake?”

The Second Boss looked at the First Boss and stubbornly raised an eyebrow. ”Big Brother, I just chopped up an officer. Is it really necessary to interrogate me like this?”

Chen Xiaochun’s heart couldn’t help but tremble, and his legs went weak again.

It wasn’t necessary, it really wasn’t necessary.

This guy didn’t even need to act; he was a bandit through and through. He should have been the First Boss.

Chen Xiaochun exhaled.

He tremblingly took out the prop whip.

”The state has its laws, and the gang has its rules. Second Brother, take your punishment.”

The whip lightly lashed across Lin Pei’s body.

”Stop.”

This wasn’t shouted by the Director, but by Lin Pei.

Chen Xiaochun nearly threw his back out as he stopped his movements and wiped his sweat.

Looking at Lin Pei’s gaze, his bladder felt the pressure again.

He hadn’t used any force at all when he swung the whip just now; it was purely no different from tickling.

Did he have an issue even with that?

Moreover, when this guy wasn’t smiling, he looked even more sinister, enough to make one’s hair stand on end.

He subconsciously asked, ”W-What’s wrong, Big Brother?”

Lin Pei was a bit dazed.

He was the Second Brother; why did the senior always mess up the lines and call him Big Brother instead?

Lin Pei didn’t have time to correct the line issue because he discovered an even bigger loophole in the script.

”Director, there seems to be a problem with this script.”

The original plot was that the First Boss picks up a whip one centimeter in diameter and two meters long, whipping the Second Boss half to death in just three strokes.

Later, the First Boss grabs the Second Boss by the throat and takes five or six minutes to strangle him to death.

The Second Boss is severely injured and dies without a single struggle.

Originally, he might not have noticed these details, but after obtaining the Peerless Criminal skill, he felt this plot was extremely unreasonable.

As the victim, the Second Boss’s reaction was completely wrong.

Before the Director could respond, the Screenwriter walked out from among the production crew.

He had just rushed over from another Film Crew, and as soon as he entered the set, he heard someone questioning his script. Who could stand that?

He was one of the well-known domestic Screenwriters with countless works under his belt; he had won so many awards that his hands were numb from holding trophies.

And now he was being questioned by a Young Actor who had just entered the industry?

How could this be allowed?

”How could there possibly be a problem with this plot?”

This was a script he had spent years writing and had revised several times; even the Director had given the green light, saying there were no issues.

On what grounds did a newcomer say there was a problem?

If he hadn’t been wary of Lin Pei’s fierce appearance, he would have started cursing long ago.

”Screenwriter, these few lines indeed have problems, and the problems are quite significant.”

The Screenwriter got even angrier, his eyes almost popping out.

Not only were there problems, but the problems were significant?

How could a script he, a dignified and famous Screenwriter, had worked on for years still have major problems?

This was simply an insult to his profession.

The Director hurried over to pull him back.

”Old Chen, don’t be angry.”

”We’ve worked together for so many years; how could I not know the quality of the scripts you write?”

”But since Brother Pei mentioned it, we might as well hear him out.”

He wanted to vent his anger for the Screenwriter, but he really didn’t dare to offend that guy either.

The Screenwriter was huffing and puffing; the Director’s attitude really infuriated him.

How could a plot they both had approved have a problem?

There wouldn’t be any at all.

”There’s no need for that. What I write is meant to make good movies; it’s not for others to just nitpick at will!”

”By treating me like this, are you respecting all the days and nights I spent revising the script?”

Seeing the Screenwriter they worked with every day looking so aggrieved, the Film Crew staff members one after another took sides to support the Screenwriter.

”What useful advice can a newcomer possibly offer? Isn’t he being a bit too arrogant?”

”It must be because the Director gave him more scenes; he’s gotten way too cocky and thinks he can question a great Screenwriter’s work now.”

”Who gave him such confidence? Screenwriter Chen should arrange an even more miserable death for him.”

”Does this guy have some kind of background? Is he bullying others in the Film Crew?”

For a moment, everyone looked at Lin Pei with indignation.

The Screenwriter felt even more wronged.

”Fine, you said my script has problems, then tell me where the problems are!”

The Director went to pull the Screenwriter, but the Screenwriter was so angry that he let out a loud shout and shook off his hand.

The Director was also speechless.

This stubborn mule didn’t even look at the Young Man’s eyes on stage; if he kept causing a scene, he could wipe them all out in a matter of minutes.

Compared to the script, wasn’t life more important?

The sweat on Chen Xiaochun’s forehead was already flowing down, and he also tugged at the Screenwriter’s sleeve.

”Old Liu, if you want to die, don’t drag the rest of us with you.”

”How about I try whipping you? It would be easier for me to just whip you instead.”

While Chen Xiaochun was giving his death-defying warning to the Screenwriter, Lin Pei stood up holding the whip.

The crowd reflexively backed away.

Holy crap, is this guy going to slaughter everyone here?

Their backs felt cold, and their legs were shaking.

Lin Pei didn’t notice everyone’s reaction; he swung his hand.

”Crack!”

The whip was lashed onto a prop cotton quilt by him; the sound was quite loud, but the quilt wasn’t damaged at all.

Everyone subconsciously flinched.

Hiss!

Damn, he’s whipping a quilt. We thought he was going to whip us.

The Screenwriter, who had just been shouting with his neck stiffened, suddenly stopped talking.

A human body is made of flesh; he was also afraid of pain.

Fortunately, Lin Pei didn’t direct the whip toward them.

”A whip one centimeter in diameter and two meters long—one stroke wouldn’t even pull out the cotton stuffing.”

”It wouldn’t be that serious hitting a fit Young Man either; it’s impossible for him to be half-dead after a few strokes.”

”If he were older or already sick, it might be possible.”

The Screenwriter trembled again; this guy didn’t want to use him for a live demonstration, did he? He probably really couldn’t take more than a few strokes.

Lin Pei’s deep voice continued.

”To kill someone as quickly as possible, the most effective whip’s radius should be 0.5cm, and its length should be 75cm.”

”The material should ideally be leather. If it’s rattan, it should be soaked in water overnight for the best effect.”

”Furthermore, even for a half-dead adult, when you strangle his neck, he will struggle with all his might until he suffocates.”

”Among all the living people who were strangled to death, I’ve never seen one who didn’t struggle at all.”

!!!!

Everyone’s faces were filled with horror, each of them gasping.

Wait, this guy has strangled many living people to death?! And he still says he’s not a murderer?

The air instantly became silent and eerie; both the Screenwriter and the Director were stunned.

Inside Lin Pei’s head, scenes of crime scenes were rolling by at this moment.

”Also, it taking five or six minutes to strangle someone to death is what’s written in forensic textbooks.”

”In reality, most of those people can’t last more than a minute before suffocating.”

”Very few can even last half a minute.”

!!!!

Everyone clutched their own necks and backed away another meter.

This guy’s expression looks like he’s reminiscing, and why does it even seem like he’s looking forward to it?

He’s actually getting proud of having strangled so many people?

Isn’t that just too twisted?
