Shocking! The Fake Young Master Has Been Won Over by the Real Young Master!

79: script”Mr. Yan, this weekend is New Year’s Day. We plan to release the announcement on Monday.”

”Monday? Isn’t the three-day New Year’s holiday this weekend plus next Monday? You guys don’t get time off?” Yan Zhuohua’s silly question left Officer Liu quite speechless.

”If we had the same holidays as you, who would have been there to receive you when you came last weekend?”

He forgot; the way the police took holidays was different from theirs.

”Ah, I see. Then you’ve worked hard...”

Yan Qinghe didn’t want to see his wife being silly anymore, so he reached out and took the phone from his hand.

”Officer Liu, have you finalized the text and specific timing for the announcement?”

”It’s settled. I can send you the text in a bit for you to look over. If there are any issues, we can handle them before finishing work. As for the specific time, we’ve set it for 7:00 PM on Monday. It will be posted on our official website’s homepage.”

Wow, right during the peak traffic period on the last day before the holiday. Who knew Officer Liu was so good at timing?

”Alright, then sorry for the trouble, Officer Liu.”

After all, the announcement was written by professionals at the police station, so there were no linguistic issues. They only wanted to check if there were things that shouldn’t be mentioned.

However, after their review, they found the announcement to be nearly perfect with nothing to change. The entire piece explained the Zhao family’s matter clearly but didn’t mention specifically which family the victim belonged to. Although those in the circle knew, it was better if the general public didn’t.

After replying to Officer Liu, it was finally time to finish work.

Yan Qinghe was in charge of dinner today. He shooed the idle Yan Zhuohua away to get familiar with tonight’s role-playing script in advance.

Last time, under Yan Qinghe’s coercion and persuasion, Yan Zhuohua had randomly pointed to a story from his library as a ”punishment” from Yan Qinghe. Today, it was finally time to put it into practice.

Actually, that day Yan Zhuohua was so preoccupied with shame and indignation that he hadn’t looked closely at what was written in the text. Now that the ”punishment” was imminent, he realized he still knew nothing about tonight’s story.

He sat on the sofa, took deep breaths for a long time, and spent nearly ten minutes mentally preparing himself before finally opening the file.

Three seconds later, he quickly turned off the phone screen and tossed it aside.

Yan Zhuohua covered his face with both hands. His twenty years of experience and education wouldn’t allow him to do such a thing!

A few minutes later, his hands trembling, he picked up the phone again and continued reading with a face flushed bright red.

I am a man of my word; I must take responsibility for all my actions...

Yan Qinghe spent over an hour preparing dinner, and Yan Zhuohua spent that hour reading intermittently outside. It was hard to imagine that someone who could once read ten lines at a glance would now take so long to read a few thousand words. It was clear that this material made it very difficult for him to read calmly.

”Zhuohua, time to eat.” Yan Qinghe brought the last dish to the table and called out to Zhuohua, who was sitting on the sofa questioning his life choices.

The flush on Yan Zhuohua’s face hadn’t faded yet. He kept his head down and shuffled over inch by inch.

Yan Qinghe knew perfectly well why he was acting this way and didn’t rush him.

”Eat up. You need to be full to have the strength to work.” Yan Qinghe added a piece of chicken to Yan Zhuohua’s bowl as he finally sat down, then served him a bowl of pork rib soup.

For Yan Zhuohua, this meal was tasteless, like chewing wax. His mind drifted, wandering far away, and before he knew it, he had almost overeaten under Yan Qinghe’s feeding.

Looking at his distracted wife, Yan Qinghe’s heart was full of anticipation. However, seeing how cooperative he was being, Yan Qinghe still took him for a walk in the small garden to help with digestion.

At 9:00 PM, it was finally the moment Yan Qinghe had been longing for.

At Yan Qinghe’s strong insistence, Yan Zhuohua dressed up like the character in the story. With an expressionless face, he read from the canary script. The lines weren’t exactly stiff, but the killing intent in them made even Yan Qinghe feel a bit chilled.

Looking at his wife, whose attire and expression were worlds apart, Yan Qinghe swallowed hard. He hesitated for a second, but between survival and survival, his lust won out.

”Stop!” Yan Qinghe bolstered his courage. ”You’re not invested at all! How can this count as punishment?”

Yan Zhuohua lifted his eyelids and gave him a deep look, chanting in his mind, ”This is my husband, I can’t kill him...” He closed his eyes again, took a deep breath, and used the acting skills he’d learned from his superstar Older Female Cousin, Yan Zhuole. Finally, he threw himself into the ”script” with full emotion and spirit.

(Yan Zhuole: ”How unlucky!”)

...

With Yan Zhuohua’s cooperation, this grand play finally came to a perfect conclusion.

As the director, actor, and half an audience member, Yan Qinghe gave it a five-star review and looked forward to the next time.

Yan Zhuohua lay in bed for yet another whole day. After this battle, he had clearly fully accepted his future life setting where he would have to ”rest in bed” from time to time. This time, he didn’t even pretend to be angry. Mainly because being angry was useless.

There was no helping it; having been at a disadvantage from the start, he could only be forced to retreat step by step.

Yan Qinghe gently pushed the door open and walked in.

”Come, have some porridge.” Yan Qinghe helped him up, propped a pillow behind his waist, and began to feed Yan Zhuohua.

”Not sweet enough.” Yan Zhuohua took a sip and refused with a frown.

”Be good. Too much sugar isn’t good for your throat. Finish this bowl, and I’ll make you some cupcakes this afternoon, okay?”

”I want chocolate ones.”

”Alright, I’ll go out and buy some chocolate in a bit.”

A single bowl of porridge took a full half-hour to feed under Yan Zhuohua’s intermittent complaints, going from somewhat hot to almost cold.

After eating, Yan Zhuohua leaned into Yan Qinghe’s embrace and yawned.

”You finished the punishment yesterday. Can we move past that matter now?”

”Of course.”

”Then can I stop calling you ’husband’?”

”...What if I say no?”

Yan Zhuohua closed his eyes and laughed after a moment. Forget it, why bother arguing with him? He was almost as love-struck as that grandfather and grandson duo from the Zhao family.

”If you say no, then I’ll just have to listen to you, husband.” It was just a title; if he liked hearing it, he’d indulge him. Perhaps if he coaxed him into a good mood, the man might even go easy on him in certain matters.

This action of Yan Zhuohua’s gave Yan Qinghe quite a shock. He excitedly pulled him from his embrace and straightened his face.

”You... you’re willing to call me husband!” The joy in Yan Qinghe’s voice was unmistakable.

Being pulled up made Yan Zhuohua a bit uncomfortable. He grumbled and pushed his hands away, lying back down.

”You are my husband to begin with. Isn’t it normal to call you that?”

Yan Qinghe’s heart was bubbling with happiness. He hugged the person in his arms tightly. ”Shall I sleep with you?”

”No. You should go buy the ingredients to make my cupcakes.”

The first two days of the New Year’s holiday passed sweetly, accompanied by sweet cupcakes. The two of them stayed snuggled at home, neither busy with work nor writing papers, quietly enjoying this hard-earned leisure time.
