Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

86: Chapter 86 Desert Situation, The Elderly Golden Eagle.”Who are you?!” The Horned Viper King felt as if facing a formidable enemy, involuntarily raising his defenses to the maximum, watching Bai Xuan vigilantly.

”Eagle King... How did you get here?” The Golden Eagle King had not expected Bai Xuan to appear at such a critical moment.

”If you let me go, I will release him.” The Horned Viper King knew well that he could not beat Bai Xuan, so he used the Golden Eagle King to threaten Bai Xuan.

”Don’t believe his nonsense, don’t worry about me, kill him.” The Golden Eagle King, disregarding his own safety, urgently wanted Bai Xuan to kill the Horned Viper King.

”Threatening me?” Bai Xuan grinned, not taking the Horned Viper King’s words seriously at all.

”Don’t come any closer, or don’t blame me for being ruthless to him.” The Horned Viper King struggled to constrict his body, tightly wrapping around the Golden Eagle King.

At this moment, the Golden Eagle King could still hold on for a while, but his wings and body bones were being crushed, his expression filled with pain, yet he had no intention of begging for mercy.

An ice spike appeared behind the Horned Viper King and, with lightning speed, pierced directly through his entire head; he died before he could even react.

The Golden Eagle King seized this opportunity to break free from the restraints, standing on the desert, gasping for air. After recovering for a moment, he looked at Bai Xuan:

”Many thanks to the Eagle King for your help.”

”Since you work for me, I naturally have to look out for you. However, don’t be so reckless next time, so as not to ruin my plans.” Bai Xuan waved his wings and spoke unhurriedly.

Then, he finished off the other venomous snake beasts, crushing them into bits.

The other Golden Eagles stepped forward: ”Many thanks to the Eagle King.”

Now they had gained some recognition of Bai Xuan; perhaps working for Bai Xuan was not such a bad thing.

”By the way, Eagle King, why did you appear here?” The Golden Eagle King asked the question puzzling his mind; appearing just right, and at such a critical moment, could such a coincidence really happen?

It could be counted as a coincidence, or perhaps not. Bai Xuan had intended to come and check the situation here, and just happened to encounter this, but intervening now was something Bai Xuan did deliberately, not a coincidence.

”I came to check on the development of your side, and then I encountered this.”

This could be considered the truth, and naturally, Bai Xuan would not mention that he had been watching the show.

”I see.” The Golden Eagle King nodded gently, then as if thinking of something, he gave a wry smile:

”As you can see, our situation is not very good. In these past few months, the number of snakes has increased rapidly, and their strength levels have also improved significantly. Previously, we could still fight to a draw, with neither side able to do anything to the other, but now our Golden Eagle Clan is a step weaker.”

”They must have obtained some kind of opportunity.” Bai Xuan speculated.

”That is very likely. Improving by two stages in three months is something no ordinary beast could achieve.” The Golden Eagle King nodded, agreeing with this statement.

”By the way, tell me about the situation here. If there are any clans threatening your survival, inform me of them all, and I will do my best to help you solve them.”

Eliminating those that threatened the survival of the Golden Eagle Clan was equivalent to preventing them from slowing down the speed of resource collection; precisely because of this, Bai Xuan would absolutely not sit idly by.

This was also for the sake of mutual interests.

Afterwards, the Golden Eagle King informed Bai Xuan of the matters here one by one. The desert area was the territory of the Horned Viper King, and there were other venomous beasts, lizards, scorpions, and large sand worms, etc.

The Golden Eagle Clan were the overlords of the sky, and the grasslands were their territory. Food was not lacking, and as long as they did not enter the desert area, they were basically in no danger.

...

Bai Xuan casually devoured those fierce beasts, and the Golden Eagle King finished explaining the situation.

”I see. So, what do you think?” Bai Xuan asked for the Golden Eagle King’s opinion.

”It doesn’t matter to me. The desert area is not suitable for our survival, so if we could coexist peacefully, that would be fine.” The Golden Eagle King replied.

Under normal circumstances, they would not come to the desert, but desert beasts would go to the grasslands. However, as long as they did not harm the Golden Eagle Clan, the Golden Eagle King would still turn a blind eye.

”Take me to see your clan first,” Bai Xuan said.

”Alright. Eagle King, please follow me.” The Golden Eagle King did not refuse; after all, Bai Xuan had saved his life, and besides, even if he were unwilling, Bai Xuan would still be able to find it.

Thus, under the guidance of the Golden Eagle King, Bai Xuan arrived at the habitat of the Golden Eagle Clan. Most of the nests were built on cliffs and precipices, while some that were particularly large would live on the mountain tops or in caves.

For them, digging a cave was an easy task.

”Eagle King, this is the old nest of our clan,” the Golden Eagle King introduced.

They landed on the mountain top, overlooking the ground from a high vantage point. Looking out, it was an endless grassland, forming a sharp contrast with the desert.

It was undeniable that this place was more suitable for the survival of beasts, but those beasts living in the desert were not bad either; there were plenty of spirit stone resources, and after the spiritual energy revival, food was also considered sufficient.

Upon seeing the Golden Eagle King return, the other Golden Eagles came to welcome him. There were big ones and small ones, old ones and young ones, numbering around five or six hundred.

Compared to those beast clans with thousands, it was much fewer, but then again, Golden Eagles were not originally gregarious; they needed time to adapt and grow the clan.

Plus, they were the overlords of the sky and had very few natural enemies, so they didn’t have to worry as much, and therefore, they had slackened in their breeding speed.

Upon seeing this strange eagle, Bai Xuan, and feeling the terrifying aura on his body, some were terrified, while others were very vigilant, ready to fight at any moment.

”Eagle King, who is this?” An aged Golden Eagle stepped forward; it possessed a Tier 3, Level 2 rank. When the Golden Eagle King was away, it would hold down the fort and protect the safety of the clan.

”He is the powerhouse I told you about before, and also the one we are to serve,” the Golden Eagle King explained.

Hearing this, there was an exclamation. Previously, most of the Golden Eagles were very unconvinced; why should they serve an alien race? The Golden Eagle Clan would never submit to other races.

But now it seemed that being able to serve him was actually their clan aiming too high.

This aura was too formidable. They had a premonition in their hearts that even if they all attacked together, they could not do anything to Bai Xuan, and might even be exterminated!

”I see. This old one greets the Eagle King,” the aged Golden Eagle said, bowing its head slightly and respectfully.

It was the most aged Golden Eagle in the clan, and also highly respected. To some extent, its status was even higher than the Golden Eagle King, but due to age and strength, it could not take the position of Eagle King.

Whether it was good luck or bad luck, in its old age, the spiritual energy revival began, which limited its achievements.

And if the spiritual energy had not revived, it would have already exhausted its lifespan and died by now.

However, it was quite satisfied with the current situation; whether it was king or not didn’t matter.
