Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 1939: Origin of Human Race!

The platform passed through a great ring of ancient runes. Beyond it, the landscape changed again. They saw a vast mural stretched across the side of a floating mountain, showing countless Primordials standing together beneath a sky full of stars.

They looked magnificent, but there were no children among them. No families. No lines of descent. Just adults standing under the ancient heavens with solemn expressions.

Arvantos stopped before that mural. ”This was the flaw of the Primordial Race.”

The ten geniuses waited. Then Arvantos said it plainly.

”We could not reproduce.”

The words changed almost everyone’s expression.

Orion Starfall blinked. ”The Primordial Race couldn’t reproduce?”

Damian Voss’s gaze sharpened slightly.

Kaiden Voidmere looked at the mural again, as if trying to figure out whether the missing children had been intentional.

Morgana Starveil’s purple eyes glimmered with curiosity. ”A race that can’t reproduce shouldn’t have survived through the ages.”

Arvantos nodded. ”That’s correct.”

He turned toward them slightly, and for the first time a wry smile crossed his face.

”We had long lives, supreme strength, and bodies that naturally held laws other races had to spend countless years learning. Yet we couldn’t create descendants. It was as if some limit had been placed on us the moment we were born.”

Rosaline Lunara frowned. ”A natural law limitation?”

”Maybe,” Arvantos said. ”Or maybe something imposed by entities beyond the understanding of even the earliest Primordials. Some of our oldest records call it a restriction. Some call it a punishment. Some call it the decision of gods. The truth’s never been fully confirmed.”

Aurelian Lareth couldn’t help but ask, ”Did the Primordials try to reproduce with other races?”

Arvantos looked at him calmly. ”Of course.”

The blunt answer quieted the platform again.

”The Primordials tried everything. We tried with our own race first. Nothing came of it. Later, when other races started appearing, we tried with them too. Humans didn’t exist yet in that era, but there were plenty of early races born from worlds, stars, beasts, spirits, laws, and other sources. The result was always the same.” He paused. ”No child was born.”

The shock in the ten geniuses’ eyes deepened. To them, the Primordial Race had always stood as a supreme race above nearly everything.

They’d assumed the Primordials were ancient simply because they’d existed a long time, not because the race itself had once been trapped in a fatal inability to continue.

Arvantos turned back to the mural. ”At first, we thought time would solve it. Then we thought power would. Then law. After that, we tried secret arts, soul division, bloodline imitation, body creation, artificial wombs, divine law fusion, reincarnation attempts, and countless other methods that later races couldn’t even imagine.”

His wry smile faded. ”All of it failed.”

The silence grew heavier. Even Rakan, who usually reacted loudly to everything, said nothing.

Arvantos continued. ”A race that can’t reproduce might look invincible for a while, especially if its members are strong enough. But even immortality isn’t absolute. Primordials could die in battle. Primordials could fall to disasters. Primordials could vanish inside forbidden zones. Primordials could be sealed, corrupted, or lost in ancient wars. We were powerful, but our numbers only shrank.”

The platform started moving again, this time toward another region where a different set of murals appeared. These carvings showed Primordials seated in a great circle, their bodies glowing with bloodline light.

At the center of the circle stood a vast basin filled with golden-red liquid, and from that basin, countless streams flowed out toward smaller figures. The smaller figures looked human.

Max’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Arvantos stopped before the second mural. ”Eventually, the Primordials chose the most extreme method.” His voice dropped slightly. ”We gave up our bloodline.”

The ten geniuses froze. Even Max’s expression shifted a little.

Arvantos looked at the human-like figures carved beneath the Primordials. ”The first humans were born when some Primordials gave up their complete bloodline, sealed away their Primordial foundation, and let themselves fall into mortality. They lost the natural supremacy of the Primordial Race. Their bodies grew weaker. Their lifespans shortened. Their connection to the ancient source faded. Their law affinity declined. In exchange, they gained something the Primordials had never had.”

He paused. ”The ability to reproduce.”

A heavy silence settled over the platform. The ten geniuses stared at the mural.

The birth of the human race had plenty of legends across the Divine Realm. Some believed humans were created by ancient gods. Some believed they evolved from mortal life forms. Some believed they were fragments of a fallen supreme race. Some believed they were just one of countless ordinary races that rose through struggle. But none of them had expected this.

Humans had come from Primordials. Not as descendants in the ordinary sense. Not as a branch race born naturally. But as Primordials who had abandoned their bloodline entirely and turned themselves into mortals.

Rosaline covered her mouth slightly, unable to hide her shock. ”Humans were once Primordials?”

”The earliest humans were,” Arvantos answered.

Kaiden Voidmere stared at the mural with a deep gaze. ”That explains the resemblance.”

”Yes,” Arvantos said. ”Humans resemble Primordials because humans were shaped from Primordials. The outer form didn’t change much, but the foundation did.”

Damian Voss said quietly, ”So humanity isn’t a lesser copy of the Primordial Race. It’s a fallen branch.”

”A transformed branch,” Arvantos corrected. ”Fallen is a harsh word, though some ancient Primordials used it at the time.”

Morgana Starveil smiled faintly, though her eyes stayed serious. ”And humans became capable of having children.”

”Yes.” Arvantos looked back at the mural. ”Once the Primordials who’d given up their bloodline became human, they found out they could bear children. Those children didn’t carry the true Primordial bloodline. They were human. Mortal. Weaker than their origin. But they could grow, multiply, spread, adapt, and survive in ways the Primordial Race never could.”

Orion Starfall let out a slow breath. ”So that was the start of the human race.”

”The start of the true human race,” Arvantos replied. ”From those first mortals, humanity spread across worlds, star regions, and later the Divine Realm. They were weaker than a lot of ancient races at birth, but they had terrifying adaptability. They could cultivate many paths. They could awaken many bloodlines. They could intermarry with other races. They could rise from nothing again and again.”

Rakan Thorne scratched his head, genuinely shaken. ”So humans exist because the strongest race in existence couldn’t have kids?”
