Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 391: The situation of Elves

Maxʼs smile faded slightly as he frowned, the question that had been bothering him finally slipping out. ”Why did you and your mother come to the Lower Domain in the first place?” he asked, his tone filled with genuine confusion.

The thought had always been strange to him. The Five God Nation — or now, the Four God Nation — was the absolute peak of Planet Acaris. It was where the strongest lived, where legends were born. So why would someone with a powerful bloodline, someone from such a place, come down to the Lower Domain? It didnʼt make sense.

”I donʼt know,” Alice replied, sighing quietly. ”Iʼve asked my mother many times, but sheʼs never told me. She always avoids the question. Even my big brother has no idea. Itʼs like some kind of secret only she knows.”

”I see…” Max said, nodding slowly, though the mystery still tugged at his mind. Then his smile returned, gentle and reassuring. ”Well, it doesnʼt matter. Whether you leave before me or after me, weʼll still meet there. If you go to the Four God Nation earlier than I do, then Iʼll come find you. And if I arrive there first… then Iʼll wait for you.”

Aliceʼs eyes lit up with happiness as she smiled brightly and raised her pinky finger toward him. ”Then letʼs promise each other,” she said cheerfully.

Max laughed and raised his own pinky, gently hooking it with hers. ”Itʼs a promise,” he said softly, the moment etched into both of their hearts like a silent vow under the watchful gaze of the full moon.

”Can I have Max for a moment?”

Aelricʼs voice broke the peaceful silence between Max and Alice. They both turned around and saw him standing a few steps behind them, arms crossed, his expression calm but serious, as if he had been waiting for a while.

”Ah… I just remembered,” Alice said quickly, her eyes darting left and right as if looking for an escape. ”I need to talk to Big Sis Amelia about something.” She gave Max an apologetic smile, clearly flustered, and hurried off before either of them could say a word.

Aelric watched her go and let out a quiet, wry smile. ”Sheʼs always been good at finding a way out of awkward moments,” he muttered before turning his full attention to Max. His expression shifted, the playfulness fading. ”Max, I wanted to talk to you about something serious… about the humans on this continent.”

Max frowned at that, his brow furrowing. ”Whatʼs there to talk about?” he asked, already sensing the heaviness in Aelricʼs tone.

Aelricʼs face turned grave. ”Just a few hours ago, a rumor started spreading across the entire Lost Continent. Theyʼre saying… youʼre an abomination of evil. That the sword you carry is destined to destroy the world.”

Max let out a cold sneer, his eyes narrowing with annoyance. ”So thatʼs what theyʼre doing now?” he said sharply, shaking his head.

”What, do they think the elves and demons will gang up on me because of this? Is that their plan?” His voice was low, but filled with anger. ”Iʼve already challenged the so-called peak geniuses of this continent. I donʼt care if theyʼre human, elf, or demon — Iʼll defeat them all. And if they force me… I wonʼt hesitate to kill.”

”I donʼt know what their real intention is,” Aelric replied honestly, his tone serious. ”But whatever it is, itʼs definitely working against you. This rumor… itʼs spreading fast, and itʼs poisoning the way people look at you. Did you do something to make them this hostile?”

”Me?” Max raised his brows and scoffed. ”What could I have possibly done to make them hate me this much?” he asked, shrugging. But after a short pause, he scratched his head and added casually, ”Though I might have done a bit of damage to Envoy Lucasʼs villa on my way here.”

Aelric stared at him for a moment before slowly shaking his head. He knew Max too well. When Max said ”a bit of damage,” it probably meant the entire place had been wrecked beyond recognition.

”Yeah… that sounds about right,” Aelric muttered under his breath, already imagining the chaos Max had left behind.

”Anyway, did you find anything about the elves?” Max asked suddenly, shifting the topic as his mind drifted to the bigger picture.

”Not much,” Aelric replied, rubbing the back of his neck. ”But from what Iʼve gathered, there are three major factions within the elven race, right? And apparently, all three of them are at odds with each other right now. I donʼt know the exact details, but I did hear something interesting — every hundred years or so, the elves choose a leader from one of the factions to lead their race in the Lost Continent. And it seems like… the time for that decision is coming up soon.”

”I see,” Max muttered, nodding slowly as he pieced things together in his mind. His thoughts immediately went to Princess Lenavira. Her strange behavior, her sudden interest in him — it all started to make more sense now.

If there was a power struggle happening within the elves, and leadership was about to shift hands, then her approach might not have been personal… but political. She could be aiming to use him in some larger plan, and while Max wasnʼt sure yet, this information pointed in that direction.

”Thanks, Aelric. That helps a lot,” Max said sincerely, giving him a small nod of appreciation. Then, with a curious look, he asked, ”By the way, what floors are you all on in the tower?”

Aelric let out a long sigh, the tension in his shoulders showing just how frustrated he was. ”Honestly… weʼre not doing great,” he admitted. ”Right now, the peak geniuses of the Lost Continent are already on the tenth floor. But the peak talents from our continent — weʼre stuck around the fifth floor.”

He paused for a moment before continuing, ”Our strength still isnʼt enough to push into the higher levels. Only Alice has made it to the seventh floor, and thatʼs because sheʼs already at the seventh level of the Seeker Rank. The rest of us? Weʼre all hovering around the fourth or fifth floors. Itʼs frustrating, but… the gap is real. Theyʼre ahead of us — not just in rank, but in skill and experience too.”

Max nodded thoughtfully. He had already sensed that Aliceʼs strength had improved significantly since the last time he had seen her, and it was clear she was growing faster than most.

ʼIt seems her Phoenix Bloodline is really working wonders,ʼ he thought, realizing that her steady rise in power wasnʼt just due to hard work but also the immense potential hidden within her lineage.

”So,” Max said curiously, thinking back to what Aelric mentioned, ”you can reach ten floors in the tower depending on the ten levels of the Seeker Rank? Like, Alice is on the seventh floor because sheʼs at the seventh level of Seeker Rank, and the others are stuck on the fourth or fifth floors because theyʼre at those levels?”

”Nah, itʼs not exactly like that,” Aelric replied, shaking his head. ”The tower doesnʼt work in such a strict pattern. Itʼs not like your Seeker Rank level automatically matches the floor youʼre on. Itʼs more about your overall strength. If youʼre strong enough, you can theoretically go straight up to the tenth floor, regardless of your level. But—” he paused and let out a breath, ”—thatʼs easier said than done.”
