Becoming an Immortal and Ancestor, Starting from the Clan-protecting Divine Beast

103: Chapter 103 Taking on Apprentices, Weapon Refining Master Joins the FrayThis was a young girl at the Qi Refining Realm wearing a goose-yellow dress. Her body was thin, like a bamboo pole, and she was only fifteen or sixteen years old. It made one wonder how a Qi Refining Cultivator could have ended up in such a state.

Beside the young girl in the goose-yellow dress stood two other Qi Refining Cultivators at the seventh or eighth layer, suspected to be her relatives.

”Good, good, good. This jinx of a bastard still has some use. I didn’t expect her to actually make a Spiritual Artifact Pill Furnace acknowledge her as master. My Huang Family is going to strike it rich, strike it rich!”

The male Qi Refining Cultivator spoke with excitement, slapped the girl in the goose-yellow dress, and scolded, ”Why haven’t you bound it to yourself yet?”

Tears welled up in her eyes. She felt a sense of rage coming from the Spiritual Artifact Pill Furnace in front of her, as if it wanted to burn the male Qi Refining Cultivator to ash.

The female Qi Refining Cultivator beside the male flashed a look of disgust in her sharp eyes and mocked, ”Just like your dead mother, you are both cursed stars. If it weren’t for the fact that you still have some use, we would have kicked you out of the Huang Family long ago to fend for yourself.”

The young girl in the goose-yellow dress trembled, wanting to say something, but she lowered her head and walked forward timidly.

Just then, the brass Pill Furnace suddenly began to vibrate. The lid opened on its own, and a fire Dragon burning with raging flames rushed out, instantly burning the male and female Qi Refining Cultivators to ash. They were dead beyond a doubt.

After doing this, the brass Pill Furnace shrank and turned into a streak of light, falling into the Qi Sea and Dantian of the girl in the goose-yellow dress.

Gentle flames escaped from within the Pill Furnace, quickly wrapping around the girl’s body, as if refining gold in a fire, removing Impurities, and forging her into a piece of tempered refined iron.

”This Pill Furnace has high intelligence. It seems it has received the baptism of quite a bit of Artifact Dao Luck.”

”This girl’s Aptitude is also not low. To be at the Fourth Layer of Qi Refining at such a young age—looking at her situation, she must have been marginalized in her Family. To be able to Cultivate to this level at this age is quite remarkable.”

”A Spiritual Artifact Pill Furnace choosing a Fourth Layer of Qi Refining Cultivator to acknowledge as master, doesn’t this mean she has the potential to become a Purple Mansion True Person and a Third-tier Alchemist?”

Many Cultivators noticed what was happening here and discussed it among themselves, not caring at all about the pair of man and woman burned to death by the Pill Furnace; they deserved it.

A Spiritual Artifact acknowledges a master, yet they dared to bully its master in front of it. Isn’t that just pure suicide?

”A good seedling, a good seedling indeed.” Great Master Feng Cong walked over, looking at the girl wrapped in the bright yellow Alchemy flames, his brows full of appreciation.

Yuan Feng glanced over and asked, ”Could it be that the Great Master doesn’t want this Pill Furnace, but plans to take her as an apprentice instead?”

Originally, according to his plan, if the Pill Furnace did not acknowledge Feng Cong as master but instead acknowledged another Purple Mansion True Person, he would have directly taken action to snatch the Pill Furnace from the hands of the other Purple Mansion True Person.

That’s right, he was just that domineering and wild!

However, plans could not keep up with changes. Now that the brass Pill Furnace had acknowledged a little Qi Refining girl as master, if he, the dignified Dou Zhan Demon King, were to take action against her, it would be beneath his station and lose the dignity of the Dou Zhan Demon King.

”Fellow Daoist Dou Zhan, I do indeed want to take this girl as my apprentice. She, like me, has the fate of a cursed star. Ordinary factions would not be able to suppress it.” Great Master Feng Cong replied, his eyes fixed on the girl wrapped in flames, as if looking at an uncut piece of jade.

Just then, several figures walked over, all emitting the aura of the Purple Mansion level. They were all Purple Mansion True Persons who valued the girl and were prepared to take her into their factions.

”So it is Great Master Feng Cong and the Dou Zhan Demon King. A pleasure to meet you.” One of the Purple Mansion True Persons cupped his hands, speaking quite politely.

Yuan Feng and Feng Cong greeted the others, then stopped speaking and waited quietly.

It was not until two and a half hours later, as the sun set and evening approached, that the bright yellow Alchemy flames shrouding the girl slowly dissipated.

”Little girl, what is your name?” Great Master Feng Cong asked in a gentle voice.

The young girl in the goose-yellow dress lowered her head and whispered, ”I... I am called Huang Shanrou.”

Great Master Feng Cong stroked his beard and asked gently again, ”I am Feng Cong, little Rou. Are you willing to take me as your master? I will pass on everything I have learned to you. With your Aptitude, becoming a Third-tier Alchemist is only a matter of time.”

Huang Shanrou looked up at the old man in front of her and felt an inexplicable sense of closeness. Just as she was about to agree, several other Purple Mansion True Persons spoke up.

”Little girl, I am the Grand Elder of the Huang Heaven Sect, 【Chihui】, at the Middle Stage of the Purple Mansion Realm, and also a Third-tier Medium Grade Alchemist. That Feng Cong is merely a Loose Cultivator, and his Legacy is incomplete. It would be better to take me as your master. I will pass on the Alchemy Legacy of the Huang Heaven Sect to you one by one. You might even become an Alchemy Grandmaster in the future, famous throughout Great Qi.” Immortal Master Chihui of the Huang Heaven Sect spoke first, revealing his identity and using the Alchemy Legacy of the Huang Heaven Sect to tempt her.

”The Huang Heaven Sect is merely a declining Sect; how could it compare to my Heavenly Universe Sect?” Another Purple Mansion True Person immediately retorted, then said to Huang Shanrou, ”I am the Grand Elder of the Heavenly Universe Sect, and also the Hall Master of the Alchemy Hall, a Third-tier High Grade Alchemist. The Alchemy Legacy of my Heavenly Universe Sect is complete; we have even produced an Alchemy Grandmaster in the past. Taking me as your master is the most appropriate choice.”

”Heh.” The last Purple Mansion True Person sneered, looking somewhat disdainful. ”Do you two even believe what you’re saying? Stop trying to gild your own faces. With your Aptitude, don’t even think about understanding the Fourth-tier Alchemy Legacy in this lifetime. Taking her as an apprentice would simply be misleading a student.”

As he spoke, he leaned down and said warmly to Huang Shanrou, ”Little girl of the Huang Family, my Daoist name is 【Danyun】. I am the Grand Elder of the Alchemy Refining Valley, a Third-tier Peak Alchemist. My Alchemy Refining Valley has a grand enterprise, with several Golden Core True Monarchs of the Alchemy Grandmaster level sitting in town. As an Alchemy seed carrying Alchemy Dao Luck, joining the Alchemy Refining Valley is the most appropriate choice. In the future, you will not only be able to become an Alchemy Grandmaster but also use the Alchemy Dao to achieve the Golden Core True Monarch Realm, enduring for ten thousand years.”

The other two changed color upon hearing this. No matter how deep the foundations of their two families were or how strong their strength was, they could not compare to the Alchemy Refining Valley, which had several Alchemy Golden Core True Monarchs sitting in town.

Great Master Feng Cong’s expression also changed. With a Third-tier Peak Alchemist from the Alchemy Refining Valley personally coming forward to invite her, he certainly had no chance.

”Brother Yuan, let’s go.” He sighed softly, intending to leave with Yuan Feng.

”I... I choose him.” Huang Shanrou made her decision, raising her slender finger to point at Feng Cong.

This left the latter both surprised and delighted; he did not expect this Huang Family girl to choose him.

”Hmph!” The two Purple Mansion True Persons from the Huang Heaven Sect and Heavenly Universe Sect snorted coldly and flicked their sleeves as they left.

Great Master Danyun of the Alchemy Refining Valley did not leave but looked at Huang Shanrou, confused. ”Why? Is joining my Alchemy Refining Valley not good?”

Huang Shanrou shook her head and said, ”I’m sorry, Great Master Danyun. My heart told me to choose Great Master Feng Cong. I am just following my own heart.”

Great Master Danyun understood and sighed, ”So that’s how it is.”

Before he turned and left, he said to Feng Cong, ”Twenty-three years from now is the once-in-a-sixty-year cycle Alchemy Conference. Feng Cong, remember to bring the little girl from the Huang Family then, so I can take a good look and see if you have misled your student.”

”No need for Fellow Daoist Danyun to worry. I will definitely train Shanrou into a Prodigy Alchemist who will break every record and slap your face, you old man.” Feng Cong flicked his sleeve and replied calmly.

”I’ll be waiting for that day.” Great Master Danyun left, not entangling any further.

And so, Huang Shanrou took Feng Cong as her master, making this Loose Cultivator Alchemist Great Master smile as brightly as a chrysanthemum.

Subsequently, after asking, it was learned that the Pill Furnace in Huang Shanrou’s Dantian and Qi Sea was called the Zhouyu Minghuang Spirit Pill Furnace.

It was originally a Third-tier High Grade, but after the baptism of Artifact Dao Luck, its grade rose by one level, becoming a top-grade Spiritual Artifact. It only needed to refine pills a few more times, and nourished by the Alchemy Qi, becoming a Spirit Treasure in the future would be no problem.

Just as the few were talking, the Artifact Refining Great Master who had forged this Pill Furnace walked over, his face filled with emotion. ”I didn’t expect the Minghuang Pill Furnace to acknowledge a little girl like you as master. It can be considered fate.”

”May I ask for Your Excellency’s name?” Yuan Feng looked at the person who had arrived.

The Artifact Refining Great Master heard this and straightened his back, standing proudly like a pine tree. ”I do not change my name when traveling, nor do I hide my surname. My Daoist name is 【Heaven Forger】. I am a Loose Cultivator, skilled in Artifact Refining.”

Heaven Forger?!

Yuan Feng couldn’t help but look at this person more after hearing this, tsking in wonder. Did this guy even understand the meaning of the two characters ”Heaven Forger”?

Regarding the Artifact Dao, although he didn’t know much, he knew the names of a few orthodox positions in this Dao.

One is 【Ghost Axe】, two is 【Divine Craft】, three is 【Heaven Forger】, and four is 【Myriad Things】.

For this person to dare to use Heaven Forger as a Daoist name and still be alive and kicking, growing to the Purple Mansion level, was truly incredible.

”Could it be that this person possesses Heaven Forger Luck, and has a vague feeling in the dark, hence why he took the two characters Heaven Forger as his Daoist name?” Yuan Feng’s thoughts turned, and he thought of a lot at once.

”An Artifact Refining Great Master who possesses Heaven Forger Luck can be said to be rare in a thousand years. Why not trick and deceive him... invite him to the Chen Family to be a Guest Elder and sit in the Artifact Hall?”

Yuan Feng thought, deciding to give it a try, and asked, ”I wonder if Great Master Heaven Forger has any thoughts of joining a faction? My Chen Family has just started not long ago. Although our foundations are not as good as those old Purple Mansion Factions, we are not bad either, and can fully support Great Master Heaven Forger. Therefore, I would like to invite Great Master Heaven Forger to join the Chen Family, become a Guest Elder, and sit in the Artifact Hall. I wonder what the Great Master thinks?”

”Sure, I was just worrying about having nowhere to go. Plus, I am very interested in this little girl; perhaps she can inherit my mantle.” Great Master Heaven Forger agreed immediately, the speed of which made Yuan Feng and Feng Cong both stunned.

”Fellow Daoist Heaven Forger, do you mean you also want to take little Rou as your apprentice and teach her the Dao of Artifact Refining?” Great Master Feng Cong asked in a low voice.

Great Master Heaven Forger nodded. ”Otherwise? She carries both Artifact Dao and Alchemy Dao Luck. If she only takes you, an Alchemist Great Master, as her master, wouldn’t that be a waste of her Artifact Refining talent?”

Thus, the two old guys got together and discussed how to Cultivate Huang Shanrou.

Yuan Feng looked to the other side and saw Chen Zhuxiao and Su Qingyu. The two were acting suspiciously, not knowing what they were doing.
