164: Encountering Thor—— ”(Ding-dong)”!

”(Congratulations to the player from the Oil Server Region — [Thor] for killing a juvenile [Grievance Demon]. Reward: 100,000 you tian points.)”

”( [Thor] has been honorably promoted to second place on the global you tian points leaderboard. Please keep up the good work and maintain your position.)”

Tch!

Bai Tian was slightly startled. He hadn’t expected Thor to have such dog-shit luck, encountering a juvenile Grievance Demon as soon as he entered the Nether Heaven Great Realm, allowing him to leap straight into second place globally.

The system was set to Refresh a total of ten Grievance Demons, and one was already gone.

Since Thor was so lucky, he would be the first one Bai Tian would deal with later.

According to the forums, Thor was one of the foreign server players who had been the most ruthless toward Great Xia Region players in the Nether Heaven Great Realm recently.

And Bai Tian happened to have a bit of a personal grudge against him.

Bai Tian appeared above an endless primeval forest today. He immediately activated his [Mana Transformation Wings] skill, instantly breaking through the jungle canopy and soaring into the sky.

While Bai Tian was waiting for the system to reveal the coordinates of the top one hundred players on the global leaderboard, another system announcement arrived.

—— ”(Ding-dong)”!

”(Congratulations to the player from the Da Xia Server Region — [Turbid Wine Among Flowers] for killing a juvenile [Grievance Demon]. Reward: 100,000 you tian points.)”

”( [Turbid Wine Among Flowers] has been honorably promoted to third place on the global you tian points leaderboard. Please keep up the good work and maintain your position.)”

Hearing this system announcement, Bai Tian suddenly laughed in surprise: ”Who would’ve thought! Liao Fan’s dog-shit luck isn’t bad either!”

—— ”(Ding-dong)”!

”(Congratulations to the player from the Kimchi Server Region — [Sun God] for killing a juvenile [Grievance Demon]. Reward: 100,000 you tian points.)”

”( [Sun God] has been honorably promoted to second place on the global you tian points leaderboard. Please keep up the good work and maintain your position.)”

—— ”(Ding-dong)”!

”(Congratulations to the player from the Canada Server Region — [Divine Radiance] for killing a juvenile [Grievance Demon]. Reward: 100,000 you tian points.)”

”( [Divine Radiance] has been honorably promoted to third place on the global you tian points leaderboard. Please keep up the good work and maintain your position.)”

...In just that short moment, six Grievance Demons in a row had been slain, simultaneously sending six lucky individuals into the top ten of the global you tian points leaderboard.

Only four of the ten Grievance Demons remained.

However, Grievance Demons were growth-type bosses spawned by the system to increase the difficulty. Once they survived the early stages and grew up, they would become a nightmare for all players.

The remaining four Grievance Demons likely wouldn’t be so easily hunted by players.

At this time, the system also began revealing the coordinates of the players ranked within the top one hundred of the global you tian points leaderboard.

A small interface prompt popped up in front of every player in the Nether Heaven Great Realm, with large golden characters on the very first line.

Rank 1 — Great Xia Region [Brilliant], you tian points: 334,256, Current Coordinates — 26782:27899!

Bai Tian wasn’t worried at all about people coming to find him; he was only afraid they wouldn’t come.

Bai Tian focused on checking the positions of Flowers in Full Bloom and Liao Fan.

He found that Liao Fan, who was closest to him, was over 300 miles away, while Flowers in Full Bloom was even further, at a distance of 1,500 miles.

Bai Tian wasn’t worried about Flowers in Full Bloom at all; her strength was enough to roam the Nether Heaven Great Realm freely.

On the other hand, because Liao Fan had hit the jackpot and somehow reached 5th place on the global leaderboard, he would definitely be viewed as prey by countless people.

Therefore, Bai Tian immediately decided to head toward Liao Fan’s location at full speed.

Bai Tian flapped his pair of Black and White Profound Wings and began flying at full speed. The occasional interference from flying demonic beasts and monsters didn’t have much of an impact.

After flying for 15 minutes, the distance to Liao Fan’s coordinates had shortened by 100 miles.

Just as he was about to continue his journey, Bai Tian, flying in the air, suddenly made a discovery.

In a vine-covered area below, a large group of Great Xia Region players seemed to be besieging a team of foreign server players.

Hundreds of people besieging seven or eight individuals should have been an overwhelming advantage by all logic, so Bai Tian didn’t plan to waste time and was about to fly away.

But at that moment, a massive ”crack” of thunder resounded below, transforming into a lifelike lightning snake that annihilated over a hundred Great Xia Region players in an instant.

”Hahaha!”

”A bunch of noob players from the Great Xia Region. To think trash like you wanted to hunt me, Thor, you’re simply looking for death.”

There was a tall Western man clad in a mix of purple and blue equipment, wielding an orange weapon. Lightning surged from his body, and after killing over a hundred people with one move, he was laughing arrogantly.

Bai Tian, who was about to fly away, immediately stopped in mid-air with a look of surprise.

He had checked Thor’s position earlier, and he was over two hundred miles away. How did he appear here in this short time?

But regardless of why Thor was here, to Bai Tian, this guy was no different from a humanoid BOSS.

At this moment, Thor was still unleashing his might below. With his strength alone, he beat hundreds of ordinary Great Xia Region players until they had no power to resist.

Although more than half of Thor’s teammates were dead, it didn’t affect him in the slightest.

”Damn! This guy is too tough! Brothers, split up and run! Run if you can, don’t give this bastard any more points!”

A leading Great Xia Region player immediately shouted.

Immediately, all the Great Xia Region players scattered and fled.

Thor summoned a mount and laughed incessantly: ”Thinking you can escape from my hands, Thor? It won’t be that easy.”

”You Great Xia Region noobs are all my points. Not a single one of you will escape.”

Riding his mount, Thor shouted to an assassin companion behind him: ”Celine, turn on the recording function. Record how I slaughter these Great Xia noobs.”

”When it’s over, I’ll post it on the forums for the players from all the foreign servers to enjoy.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Thor rode his mount like the wind, instantly catching up to two Great Xia Region players and killing them both with one sword strike each.

After killing the two, he turned around to chase another person.

In just a short while, over twenty people had been killed by him.

At this point, the Great Xia Region player about to be caught by Thor knew he couldn’t outrun the mount. His expression turned fierce, and he simply stopped running.

”Screw your grandmother! Even if I die, I’m going to land a hit on you!”

This Tank player decisively activated his damage reduction shield, stopped in his tracks, and faced the ferociously charging Thor.

”Oh, so there’s one with a bit of backbone.”

”But still! You’re nothing but a piece of trash.”

Thor charged forward, slashing a lightning-fast sword at the Tank player.

With a ”clang,” the Tank player was sent flying by the strike, his health instantly dropping to the critical line.

On the other hand, Thor had only lost less than 30 health points.

”Not bad! You Great Xia trash actually have some merits. At least your skin is thick enough to survive one of my strikes.”
