Devouring Evolution: Devouring Nuclear Bombs at the Start

155: Chapter 155 Lin Shengchao’s EvolutionIn the twenty-thousandth year of his Evolution, Lin Sheng discovered to his shock that he had become a ”ball”!

His body had been kneaded together into a very uniform elliptical sphere.

Looking at the state of his body, Lin Sheng directly controlled the black sun, letting its light cover his body which was in the middle of Evolution.

Out of sight, out of mind.

In the thirty-thousandth year of Evolution, Lin Sheng’s elliptical body finally grew a head again.

This head was grayish-white overall, with a shape somewhat similar to a ”dragon” head, but it lacked the iconic dragon mane and whiskers of the dragon race.

And compared to a normal ”dragon,” this head of Lin Sheng’s did not give off a sense of holiness.

On the contrary, whether in appearance or aura, this head of his was terrifying.

This head was filled with the aura of death!

Even Lin Sheng, the owner, was startled when he first saw this newly grown head of his.

He looked carefully again, and this time, Lin Sheng discovered a line emitting a grayish-white light at the back of the head.

The color of the line was extremely similar to the skin; if it weren’t for the layer of crystalline keratin on Lin Sheng’s body surface and the faint glow of the line, it would have been difficult for him to see it.

The line started from Lin Sheng’s forehead, followed his neck, and spread all the way to his back—the center of that current ellipse.

Looking at his current appearance, Lin Sheng had gained some inkling regarding the direction of his Evolution.

...

In the fifty-thousandth year of Evolution, under Lin Sheng’s witness, a second head grew from his body.

It was equally hideous and terrifying, and the head also had a glowing line extending to the back.

But unlike the first head, this one appeared even more eerie.

It was not a ”dragon-like” head like the first one.

Under normal circumstances, the face of this head was constantly in a distorted state.

Viewed from a Third Person View, even Lin Sheng himself, without intentional control, could only see three pairs of eyes on this head and the abyss-like mouth beneath them.

If he wanted to see the essence of this head, he would need to exert deliberate control.

Two rows of Tentacles floating slightly backward grew from the bottom of this head, starting from Lin Sheng’s lower jaw and spreading to the end of his neck.

Seeing the condition of the second head, Lin Sheng also had a rough understanding of his Evolution this time.

He just didn’t know how many heads he would grow by the time the Evolution ended, or what his body would evolve into.

...

In the seventy-thousandth year, Lin Sheng grew a third head.

This head was pale gold and filled with divinity.

Even the appearance of the head gave off a sense of holiness.

Like the previous two heads, there was a glowing line on this head as well, which also extended to the back, intertwining with the previous two lines.

In the one-hundred-thousandth and one-hundred-and-thirty-thousandth years, Lin Sheng evolved two more heads.

The appearance of these two heads was not much different from what Lin Sheng had expected.

One was a mechanical head emitting a blue-purple light with a cyberpunk-style appearance.

The other was pitch black, as if it were a head possessing the devouring power of a black hole.

So far, Lin Sheng had grown five heads, and the head representing ”Devour” was located at the center of these five heads.

In the one-hundred-and-sixty-thousandth year, the appearance of Lin Sheng’s abdomen had also basically taken shape.

His abdomen was a giant rift, within which countless Tentacles were hidden.

On both sides of the abdomen were four pairs of thick, sharp claws.

When the claws swayed left and right, the rift in his abdomen would throb along with them.

In the one-hundred-and-ninety-thousandth year of Evolution, three pairs of milky-white wings grew on Lin Sheng’s back.

These three pairs of wings were among the few body parts that looked relatively holy, aside from Lin Sheng’s head representing ”Divinity.”

But a careful feeling would reveal that the sensation these three pairs of wings gave was not purely holy.

Holiness might be there, but the wings gave off more of a sense of ”nobility.”

They seemed to contain the ultimate mysteries of the Evolution of all things in the universe; they were like the product of all things in the universe evolving to their peak.

Any creature in the universe would involuntarily feel a sense of primitivity before them.

Of course, Lin Sheng, the owner, was the exception.

...

After evolving the wings, Lin Sheng’s Evolution also entered its final stage, with the remaining few thousand years being the finishing work.

Several major talents were manifested on the body surface by ”Harmonizing Light with Dust,” while those Low Level talents were hidden at the tail of Lin Sheng’s body.

Lin Sheng’s three pairs of wings and the abdominal rift also had lines extending to the back.

The lines from the wings were milky white, while the lines extending from the rift were black-purple.

These lines intertwined on Lin Sheng’s back, merging into a chaotic color.

A brilliant golden light rose from Lin Sheng’s back, with Daoist scripts flowing within the golden light; this was Lin Sheng’s ”golden immortal dao fruit.”

At this time, the golden immortal dao fruit also extended a golden light, slowly intertwining with these talents of Lin Sheng’s.

As the intertwining deepened, Lin Sheng’s golden immortal dao fruit was also fixed upon his back.

However, if one relied solely on the naked eye, it was impossible to see the manifested Dao Fruit.

...

When Lin Sheng had a few thousand years left before his Evolution was complete, Rona suddenly found him.

“Venerable God, I have discovered a super star-field. The deity worshipped by that star-field is suspected to be a Main God.”

After more than a hundred thousand years, no matter how slow Rona’s reaction was, he had realized that he had boarded a pirate ship.

Even a proud and powerful dragon could only recognize reality when faced with such an irresistible force.

At this moment, when reporting to Lin Sheng, Rona also followed Ishtaro’s example, getting on all fours and plunging his dragon head into the Ground.

“Suspected Main God...”

Lin Sheng softly murmured these four words.

Rona thought Lin Sheng was asking, so he hurriedly explained to him:

“Venerable God, it’s like this.”

“The star-field I discovered is very large, beyond imagination. Only the power of a Main God could penetrate the Deep Realm to protect such a vast stretch of starry sky.”

“I also carefully visited the star-field protected by that ’Main God’ before and felt that Main God’s prowess.”

“What makes me feel puzzled is right here.”

Speaking of this, Rona suddenly raised his head, looking at the pale golden light orb in front of him with a face full of admiration.

“Compared to you, that Main God’s gap seems to be a bit large.”

“Uh...”

Hearing this, Lin Sheng was suddenly choked up.

He originally thought Rona would say how hard he had worked to investigate and so on.

But even though Lin Sheng possessed “Omniscience,” he didn’t expect that Rona had gone such a long way around just to suck up to him in the end.

Is this thing’s true form really a dragon?

...

It’s not that I’m breaking down, but I drew two illustrations, only to find out at the end that my author level dropped, and I can’t put illustrations in the main text!

Wishing all you buddies a happy start to the school year.
