Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1350: Demoness Army Part 3

”How many horses did you actually produce?” Carmen was visibly stunned when she saw the 50 NPCs being each granted a horse of their own.

”These are all Uncommon.” Xu Feng whispered softly.

Although they weren’t high in rarity, they still functioned well as a proper mount.

”Leader, all men have received their horses!” Ken approached the two and reported solemnly.

”Good, is everyone used to riding their horses?”

”Some are still struggling, but the majority got the hang of it within half an hour.”

Xu Feng nodded in understanding. Not everyone can use their mount right off the bat.

To ensure maximum immersion, the Divine World really forces players to learn how to ride their mount. Otherwise, they could easily fall off and receive damage.

At the same time, the mount’s loyalty was also dependent on the owner’s care and attitude.

Those who treated their mounts extremely badly would face the risk of losing them or even gaining notoriety, preventing them from being able to have another mount for a certain duration.

And since Carmen had no experience in riding a mount, he made the suggestion to have her lean on him instead. Otherwise, they might have to spend a longer time with Xu Feng, trying their best to teach her.

”I’ll give them a maximum of 5 more minutes to learn. An army that doesn’t know how to ride a mount is an embarrassment.” Xu Feng solemnly said. He didn’t want to be overly harsh, but time was ticking.

Based on his memories, players would not only be called to war, but they must also defend other players’ towns to maintain a certain control for the human side.

Needless to say, Xu Feng had no intention of defending other players’ towns except for his own.

This remained true even if they were his allies. He must first prioritize his own property before caring about others.

”Yes, Boss!” Ken received the order and promptly controlled the rein to return to his side.

Sometime later, Ken relayed the instruction, prompting those who struggled to work harder.

Once Ken went ahead, Carmen looked at Xu Feng and pointed at herself.

”Am I also going to be insulted?” She was also clueless about how to ride a mount.

”Are you really teasing me now?” He raised an eyebrow.

”Hehe, I just want you to teach me how to ride a mount.”

”I’ll teach you later on.”

Despite knowing that Carmen didn’t really need a mount because of her unique Void Portal, the two chose to stay ignorant. After all, it was an opportunity and an excuse to do things together.

As the two began flirting subtly, 5 minutes quickly went by.

”Boss, the rest have now been used to riding their new mount.” Ken approached them and reported.

”Good, you will clear the way for us.” Xu Feng nodded in approval and promptly invited Ken to the team. Because the Demoness Army was a full NPC team, they only needed to invite the leader.

This was one of the benefits of having an NPC army.

There were so many loopholes that a player could use and abuse them. Naturally, this was all permitted by the Divine World System, granted that an NPC army required sustainability from the player’s effort and pocket.

Sometime later, Ken controlled the Azure Horse and took the lead to clear the path. The remaining 49 people also began to make a battle formation.

As for Xu Feng and Carmen, the two were swiftly surrounded by them.

”This is your main motive, right?” Carmen noticed their movement and realized he had become lazy. He was going to use them to do all the work while the two of them stayed carefree.

”Once we’re in the Oracle Grotto, we’ll be working to the bone. Besides, this is a good time to assess the value and power of the Demoness Army.” He easily gave an excuse for his laziness.

Truth be told, he had been working nonstop ever since he reincarnated in this current timeline.

There was never a break for him because too many things required him to do it first; otherwise, it would be taken away by another. And honestly, it would be a real embarrassment to be screwed over when you get to live a second chance.

However, this particular mindset had been gradually changing since he confessed to Carmen.

Although vengeance was still his main priority, it was slowly being overtaken by the fact that he wished to accompany and spend more time with Carmen.

While Xu Feng remained quiet, Carmen was secretly pleased with his laziness.

’After so long, you are finally willing to take a pause and breathe.’ She thought to herself.

Having spent so much time with him since the early days, how could she not know that he was always busy with this and that? Sometimes, she was really afraid he might collapse from overworking.

It was also because of this concern that she wanted to become stronger. If she were to become strong, then maybe she could help remove some of his burden.

Unfortunately, her objective was bound to fail. No matter how hard she worked or how powerful she had become, Xu Feng always seemed to be chasing after something.

Not to mention, his level never corresponded to his main strength.

”I’ll listen to you and enjoy this trip as a vacation.” Carmen wrapped her arms around his waist and leaned on his back. ”I’m not going to summon my voidlings or elementalists. I’m going to enjoy this carefreely.”

”Haha, fret not. If anything really went wrong, nothing could go wrong. After all, did you forget what class I am in?”

”Of course, not. You are a healer, my exclusive and strongest healer in the Divine World.”

Although he knew he was the strongest healer in the current state of the Divine World, hearing it from Carmen gave it a different charm.

”Hopefully, I can remain as such in your heart. I wouldn’t wish to be overtaken by some other clerics.” He chuckled softly.
