Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1290: Global Manhunt Part 14

While Xu Feng kept the name ShooterRex in mind, the same goes for Carmen.

Her mood had soured, and she began a massive killing spree without holding anything back.

”You bastards really deserve a torturous death!” She gnashed her teeth and unleashed a barrage of Tier 2 skills.

Those beneath Tier 2 were instantly consumed by the voids as they screamed and pleaded for mercy.

As for the Tier 2, they fled with all their might. Only a few unlucky individuals were caught in the void and ended up being killed.

Even when they died, their expression were full of reluctance and unwillingness.

They were aggrieved to have chosen the spot where the Demoness resided.

In less than 5 minutes, the initial number of players had dwindled to almost nothing.

Only Zhang Jingyi remained standing on the battlefield. But even then, she was quite amused by these cowardly players who previously claimed to defend her at all costs.

’As expected of these players. None of them can be trusted unless a contract is signed.’ She wasn’t disappointed by the outcome. In fact, she was even grateful to the Demoness for proving her insight to be right again.

”Do you want to make a move?” Zhang Jingyi held her sword and asked.

Carmen stared at her for a few seconds. She really wished to have a fight with someone like Zhang Jingyi to test her limits.

However, the situation didn’t allow her to be willful.

”Next time,” she put her staff away and flew toward Xu Feng.

”Guild Leader, should we head to their side?”

Xu Feng pondered for a moment. He also wanted to rescue them, but the current situation was very unfavorable.

He didn’t anticipate the enemies having so many Tier 2 players.

To think that they were willing to sacrifice their future for a faster promotion was something Xu Feng didn’t expect.

Tier advancement was a double-edged sword.

Without a proper foundation, advancing a tier early was detrimental. The attributes received would also not be the maximum.

In the short term, faster advancement would indeed bring them an advantage over the lower tier.

However, in the long term, their attributes would no longer be worth a fart toward those who took their time meticulously to advance their tier.

Naturally, there were some players who were exceptions, such as Carmen, who advanced fast, and their foundation was still extremely steady.

But how many players could actually be like Carmen?

If many were able to become like her, then the Divine World would have long descended into chaos at this juncture.

”We have already gone through a little bit over half an hour.” Xu Feng closed the party system notification. ”Right now, it’s more critical to return to the town. We’re barred from entering, but we can still stick around the perimeter.”

Previously, he didn’t dare to stay around the perimeter, afraid that it might gather too many enemies in one spot.

It was a good thing that he made this decision. With the number of Tier 2 players popping up, the situation would have been disastrous if they were to focus fire on the town while being able to deal damage to their group.

”Your location is still being pinged, and I received messages from the Hunting Group that they’ll force you to return to the town.” Zhang Jingyi approached them and forwarded a group chat message.

Both Xu Feng and Carmen read the forwarded message.

The latter was immediately enraged, whereas the former remained indifferent.

”These people are really hateful!” Carmen stomped her foot on the ground. She couldn’t believe the enemies would resort to such a dirty strategy despite having the numerical advantage already.

As if that wasn’t enough, they also knew of their location constantly.

”Are you not mad, Guild Leader?” She tilted her head when she noticed Xu Feng’s inaction.

”What’s the point of being mad and raging aloud?” Xu Feng asked in response.

He already foresaw this possibility and would have done the same if their position were to swap.

After all, their current position was too advantageous for them. Moreover, these players had already shared that Carmen was situated in this area.

Now that all the other members were eliminated, they essentially confirmed that the mutant boss dropped loot on them.

Since charging into them in this area was suicidal, their only option was to target Haven Wind Town and force them out to the open field.

Despicable?

Absolutely!

But a great plan for the enemies?

Hell yeah!

”Peaceful Joy, you should regroup with them and let Lunar Wraith attach her voidlings to you.” Xu Feng shifted his attention to Zhang Jingyi, referring to her in-game name.

Zhang Jingyi nodded her head.

She quickly understood what Xu Feng was planning to do. But truth be told, she was also uncertain whether he could get over this crisis or not.

Clips of Xu Feng and Carmen were already being spread across the Game Forum, allowing them to investigate and learn about their mechanism.

”It’s going to be a difficult battle, Guild Leader Lin Feng. Tour town’s defensive structure isn’t stable enough. The mini oppressive pillar could suppress the Tier 2, but they aren’t easy folks either.” She kindly reminded him.

The Haven Wind Town’s mini oppressive pillar was well-known to others for its amazing suppression against hostile players.

However, some of the Tier 2 players had unique spells that could temporarily ignore the suppression.

Even if it was only for a short duration, those split openings were enough for them to breach through the defensive layer.

”Thanks for the warning, but I’ve long prepared for it.” Xu Feng adjusted his glasses and glanced at his message prompt.

Within the message prompt was a message from Veronica, who had completed the investigation of the leaders in this global manhunt.

There were quite a few Super Guilds being involved alongside some other powerful first-rated guilds.

’All these rats hiding and waiting for an opportunity have finally come out. It really saves me the trouble of racking my brain.’ He thought to himself.
