Chapter 1759: Making trouble?

Right now, Qin Wentian’s gaze was extremely cold. The serving girl naturally saw it as well but she continued to maintain a professional-looking smile. Although this wasn’t sincere at all, it was hard for anyone to pinpoint anything wrong with it.

She naturally could sense that this young man before her was a world overlord but she didn’t care at all. She has worked here for such a long time, were world overlords really very rare? She could see such existences every day. After all, the customers of the Heaven Immortal Tower were mostly world overlords.

In addition, because the treasures she was selling were priced above 10,000 world stones, the world overlords she came in contact with were all extraordinary characters. There was no way an ordinary world overlord would be able to afford them.

Hence, to her, although world overlords are seniors, she didn’t really fear or respect them as she had seen them too frequently. Also, the background of the Heaven Immortal Tower was immensely powerful. Just here alone, there were quite a few world overlords managing things.

“What do you mean by that?” Qin Wentian coldly asked.

“Senior what are you referring to?” The serving girl smiled in reply, pretending what happened earlier didn’t happen at all.

“What do you think?” Qin Wentian’s voice grew even colder.

“Senior are you referring to that incident earlier?” The serving girl smiled. “I apologize. This dress truly cannot be touched, if it’s even damaged the slightest, it might affect the desire of other customers to purchase it. This is a rule of our shop. Senior, please don’t take offense.”

“If customers are not allowed to touch it, you could have told her so. Given your cultivation base, there are so many gentler methods you could employ yet you resorted to scolding a customer? Is this an attitude the employees here ought to have?” Qin Wentian questioned.

“Under the urgency of the moment, I could only do what I have done. Earlier, I’ve already apologized.” The serving girl was still smiling.

“Is this the attitude you should have when apologizing?” Qin Wentian stared at her.

“Senior, what do you want me to do then?” The serving girl was also beginning to get angry. She inclined her head and directly matched gazes with Qin Wentian.

Many people gathered here. Ye Zi, who was at the side, felt panic when she saw this scene. She didn’t expect a conflict to occur, this was something she didn’t want to see the most. She naturally could already feel that although Qin Wentian was amiable and approachable, he was in reality a very proud person that also values sentimental emotions. She could sense he loved his wives deeply and the people around him all treated him extremely respectfully. For such a character, he would surely be the overlord of a region somewhere and had an extremely high status. Since his wife was being berated by someone, how would he not ask for an explanation?

However, the Heaven Immortal Tower wasn’t an ordinary place. It was fine if this serving girl apologized sincerely but seeing her attitude, it didn’t seem like she was going to apologize. Ye Zi was also worried that this serving girl might have an impressive background which is why she was arranged to work here in the Heaven Immortal Tower. After all, the employees here all have terrifying backgrounds, it was impossible for ordinary characters to work here in a place envied by all.

If this was the case, this matter would surely be blown out of proportion since neither wants to compromise. Although Qin Wentian had logic and reason on his side, this matter wasn’t something that could be brushed off just like that.

“Bow and apologize to my wife. This matter shall be considered concluded then.” Qin Wentian calmly spoke.

“I’m sorry but I can’t comply with senior’s request.” The serving girl replied in a domineering manner.

A heavy pressure radiated from Qin Wentian, boring down on the serving girl. The serving girl only felt like a mountain was crushing her, her expression instantly became extremely ugly. “I’m merely doing my job in accordance to the rules. Why must senior bully me like this? Are you intentionally trying to create trouble here?”

She suddenly counter-attacked verbally, saying that Qin Wentian came here for the purpose of creating trouble. Also, given that Qin Wentian was at the World Overlord Realm and she was just a woman at the empyrean realm, it did look like Qin Wentian was being too tyrannical and was bullying her.

“Esteemed customer, what are you doing?” A voice rang out. With a flash of light, a middle-aged man in black appeared. There were two others behind him and all of them were staring at Qin Wentian. The man in black was one of the managers from the Heaven Immortal Tower that was responsible for maintaining discipline and order. Usually, there wouldn’t be any disturbance in the Heaven Immortal Tower and he would normally be in meditation. It was just that since there was a disturbance that he came out today.

“Three world overlords.” Qin Wentian glanced over, he could instantly tell that these three were characters at the world overlord realm. This was especially so for the middle-aged man in black, he gave off an extraordinary feeling and should be pretty powerful. If not, although the Heaven Immortal Tower has a powerful background, there might occasionally be troublesome matters and they would need experts strong enough to handle such things.

“Old Huo, earlier this miss here tried to touch the divine dress and was stopped by me verbally in a gentle manner. This senior then came over to question me about it and even wanted me to bow and apologize.” The serving girl spoke. Old Huo nodded his head. “Esteemed customer, there are indeed some valuable treasures in our Heaven Immortal Tower which are forbidden for the customers to touch them. Hopefully sir would be able to understand this.”

“Stopped verbally in a gentle manner? That’s clearly berating her, you even exuded your aura, how impressive is that? Yet, you are speaking like you are the one who is wronged now.” Mo Qingcheng’s matter was supposedly handled by Qin Wentian. But right now, Jun Mengchen could no longer stand this girl. This person truly knew how to act.

“What’s going on?” Old Huo asked the serving girl.

“I didn’t do that on purpose, I only shouted out because of the urgency of the situation, hence the volume of my voice is somewhat higher. But I’ve already apologized.” The serving girl continued. No matter what, she was still an empyrean, she naturally wouldn’t be foolish enough to use words to insult Mo Qingcheng. However, in her heart and in her gaze, Qin Wentian and everyone else could feel contempt in them.

“She was indeed in the wrong but since she has already apologized, I hope that sir won’t be calculative about this matter. If this has spoiled esteemed customer’s mood, I’ll beg for your forgiveness.” Old Huo nodded at Qin Wentian. Qin Wentian was also a world overlord, although the Heaven Immortal Tower didn’t really care about this, they wouldn’t intentionally offend a paying customer as well. If not, their reputation would surely suffer damage if word of this incident spread out. Hence, some polite words still had to be said on the surface.

“In that case, you mean that she berating my wife and even exuding her aura to scare my wife can all be settled with just an apology? Also, when she was apologizing, she still held her head up high with a smile on her face. Is that the attitude she should have when apologizing?” Qin Wentian asked.

“Sir, please forgive us for that. After this, I shall properly teach her so she will change her attitude.” Old Huo replied. But he might as well not have said anything. His underlying meaning was that you should stop pursuing this matter and I will discipline her properly in the future. However, who knows what would happen if Qin Wentian stops pursuing this matter?

“Wentian, forget it.” Qingcheng pulled Qin Wentian’s sleeve and spoke in a low voice. She knew what sort of place this was. The experts here in Time City were as numerous as the clouds. World Overlords could be seen everywhere.

The Heaven Immortal Tower could take out so many treasures to transact, it was clear that their foundations were extremely deep. She naturally didn’t wish for Qin Wentian to get into trouble for the sake of her.

Qin Wentian turned and gazed tenderly at Qingcheng as he softly spoke, “Let me handle this.”

Mo Qingcheng started, she felt a warm current flowing through her heart and no longer said anything more.

“So, you mean that this matter should be settled just like this?” Qin Wentian glanced at Old Huo. Upon seeing that Qin Wentian was bent on this matter, Old Huo’s brows began to furrow. There were many experts gathered here now and this wasn’t a good influence to their Heaven Immortal Tower’s reputation. He then spoke, “Sir, why must you act like this to affect my Heaven Immortal Tower’s business?”

“Seems like I was wrong.” Qin Wentian suddenly gave a self-mocking laugh. After that, he took out an interspatial ring of treasures and handed it over to Old Huo. “Take a look and check if the treasures within are worth 20,000 world stones.”

Old Huo started. Qin Wentian’s attitude suddenly seemed to have undergone a complete change. However, he still received the interspatial ring and with a check of his immortal sense, he soon nodded, “This should be enough at first glance, I will get someone to count it properly.”

“There’s no need to. As for that concealment divine dress, I’m buying it now.” Qin Wentian pointed to the divine dress floating in the air. This scene caused many people to have a look of interest on their faces. What an imposing showing of wealth, directly tossing out 20,000 world stones to buy this for his woman.

Even the expression of that serving girl changed slightly, this has truly caused her to be taken aback. Before this when Qing`er and Mo Qingcheng heard the price, they directly said that they should leave. At that time, she thought that it was because they were frightened away by the high price. Who would have thought that this young man could really afford it?

“Why are you not bringing it to me yet?” Qin Wentian glanced at the serving girl. The serving girl smiled. Qin Wentian was using such a method to gain back some face? In any case, she did make quite a lot from the commission of selling this dress. She smiled and took the divine dress, wanting to pass it over to Qin Wentian.

Qin Wentian didn’t stretch his hand out to receive it. His ice-cold eyes stared at the serving girl, “Did I say you could use your hands to touch it before passing it over to me?”

The serving girl started. After that, her expression changed as though she realized something. However, before she could react, she only saw a palm smacking towards her.

“Pa…!”

A clear sound rang out as the serving girl was directly flung through the air, slamming into a wall. Her face, which was originally extremely beautiful, instantly turned red as an imprint of a palm and five fingers could be seen. And that divine concealment dress in her hands had already reached Qin Wentian’s hands.

“Sir, how dare you. You actually dared to create trouble in my Heaven Immortal Tower.” Old Huo coldly spoke. Qin Wentian also unleashed his aura, causing the area to be cloaked in brilliant light. He stood before the three world overlords, enduring their pressure while he replied, “You must be joking, right? Before this, the divine concealment dress belonged to the Heaven Immortal Tower and my wife was berated just because she stretched her hand out, wanting to touch it and was pressured by the serving girl’s aura. Now that this treasured dress belongs to me, that woman actually used her hands to touch it? I also reacted due to the urgency of the situation and accidentally taught her a lesson. Or could it be that the status of a serving girl of the Heaven Immortal Tower is even higher than that of a customer?”

Qin Wentian’s words completely stunned Old Huo, he had no way to rebut although he felt the logic was a little warped. Could it be that a serving girl of your shop can do what she wanted but I cannot?

This was telling Old Huo that since you don’t discipline your people, let me help you to discipline them then. It’s just that using 20,000 world stones just to teach a serving girl a lesson was truly extravagant to the extreme.

Ye Zi, who was at the side, felt her heart pounding rapidly. This fellow Qin Wentian was truly too crazy. This place was the Heaven Immortal Tower. She felt panic in her heart. If this matter was blown out of proportion, it would be extremely disadvantageous to Qin Wentian. Now, she felt some regret at bringing Qin Wentian’s group here.

“That slut naturally cannot be compared to me.” That serving girl stood up. Her expression was like ice as fearsome flames flickered in her gaze. She was actually slapped in public by someone. What a great humiliation was this? Since she was humiliated so badly, she couldn’t care less about rationale any longer!
