System Possession, One Sword Shocks the Gods

194: My heart reflects the ruins, the door opens a crackYe Chen stood quietly in the Void Realm, no longer having any trace of Chaos Qi circulating around him, nor any sharp Sword Intent soaring into the sky.

He seemed to have transformed into a point of ”emptiness,” with only his transformed, pure Nirvana Sword Intent, like silent ripples, slowly spreading from him toward the towering bronze giant gate.

This was not a provocation, nor an attack, but a display, a resonance, a questioning and response to the Origin of ”Guixu” using the Dao he had realized himself.

Iron Battle and the others on the star chaser ship dared not even breathe.

They could not see the invisible Nirvana Sword Intent, yet they could clearly feel that the ”sense of existence” in the area around Ye Chen was rapidly diminishing, as if he were ”fading out” of this world.

A heart-palpitating fear, stemming from the instinct of life toward ”the end,” quietly gripped their hearts.

And that bronze giant gate, which had seemed eternally silent since ancient times, finally reacted under the touch of Ye Chen’s pure Nirvana Sword Intent!

”Hum...”

A low, ancient hum, seemingly from the end of space and time, sounded from within the giant gate, echoing in this deathly silent Void Realm.

The ancient patterns on the gate panels, which had originally been slowly circulating and depicting the birth and death of stars and the Reincarnation of all things, suddenly accelerated their circulation!

Especially the parts of the patterns representing ”World Nirvana” and ”Star Guixu,” which now seemed to come alive, emitting a hazy, grey light that echoed and merged with the Nirvana Sword Intent released by Ye Chen.

Ye Chen kept his eyes tightly closed, his entire mind immersed in the communion of intent with the giant gate.

He felt as if he had transformed into a speck of dust, placed within a vast, flowing river that eventually merged into the endless nothingness.

Within the long river was a miniature of countless worlds, stars, and even powerful living beings, from their birth and glory to their eventual decline and Nirvana.

He saw stars burning their last fuel, collapsing into cold white dwarfs; he saw prosperous Major Thousand Worlds turning to ashes in the tribulation fires at the end of an era; he saw gods and demons bleeding their last drop of divine blood in endless wars, their Divine Soul returning to eternal darkness...

Endless endings, endless Nirvana.

This was a part of the true meaning of Guixu, the final destination that all things in the Universe could not escape.

Under the scouring of this vast Nirvana imagery, Ye Chen’s Nirvana Sword Intent was not dispersed; on the contrary, it became more refined and pure, like steel tempered a thousand times.

His understanding of ”the end” was no longer limited to sword techniques and Moves, but had ascended to the level of cognition regarding the cyclic rules of the Universe’s Dao.

His ”existence” became increasingly faint in this realization, as if he were truly about to merge into that river of Nirvana and become a part of it.

Just as his consciousness was about to be assimilated by that endless Nirvana, the chaos ancestral talisman in his Qi Sea vibrated gently.

A warm, gentle fluctuation containing the meaning of ”initial” and ”existence,” like a stabilizing needle, steadied the last sliver of his true self’s light that was about to sink.

Nirvana is the end, but Chaos is both the starting point and encompasses the end!

At this moment, Ye Chen experienced a flash of inspiration.

He did not forcibly break free from the imagery of the river of Nirvana, but instead ”observed” it from a transcendent perspective.

He understood the meaning of the last words of the broken sword’s remnant Soul: ”Guixu is also the beginning of new life.”

Within absolute nothingness, there also lies the potential to nurture everything, just like the singularity before Chaos was opened.

In the extreme ”nothingness,” a trace of extremely obscure ”being” emerged quietly within his Nirvana Sword Intent.

This was not a burst of vitality, but a deeper understanding of the dialectical relationship between ”existence and nothingness.”

It was also at this moment that his own ”Nirvana” reached a mysterious harmony and resonance with the ”Guixu” represented by the bronze giant gate!

”Rumble...”

A heavy sound, as if pushing the operation of thousands of worlds, came from the bronze giant gate!

In the incredibly shocked eyes of Iron Battle and the others, that giant gate, which seemed never to have opened since the birth of the Universe, actually slowly cracked open a... tiny gap at the seamless line in the center!

The gap was extremely narrow, only allowing one person to pass through sideways; compared to the massive giant gate, it was almost negligible.

But from that gap, a majestic aura that could not be described in words suddenly surged out!

That aura was not merely destruction and deathly silence, but something more ancient, more original, as if it were the ”destination” of all things!

Within the aura was a supreme majesty that made Laws submit and caused all Dao to return to silence.

Just by feeling this aura, Iron Battle and the others felt their Protective Aura and Divine Soul trembling, as if they had encountered a supreme monarch, unable to muster any thought of resistance.

The gate had opened!

Although it was only a crack, this was undoubtedly a miracle unprecedented since ancient times!

Ye Chen suddenly opened his eyes.

The illusion of the Universe’s heat death in his pupils quickly faded, replaced by unparalleled clarity and determination.

He had succeeded!

With his own Nirvana Sword Intent, he had knocked open this gate of Guixu!

Without the slightest hesitation, he knew that the time this gate remained open would definitely not be long.

He looked back at Iron Battle and the others and sent a Divine Thought transmission: ”The dangers behind the gate are unknown and beyond what you can tread. Wait here; if the gate closes and I have not returned, you may find your own way to leave.”

Before his words had faded, his figure flickered and turned into a stream of light, shooting without hesitation toward the crack that had only opened a sliver!

The moment he approached the crack, the majestic Guixu Origin aura almost crushed him.

Ye Chen let out a low shout, fully unfolding his Minor Achievement Nirvana Sword Intent, forming a layer of absolute ”Nirvana Emptiness” Domain around his body, while the chaos ancestral talisman’s light circulated, providing the most fundamental support for ”existence.”

”Whoosh!”

His figure instantly plunged into the narrow crack and disappeared.

The very next second after he entered!

”Boom!!!”

The bronze giant gate emitted a dull, loud sound, and the opened gap began to close at a speed visible to the naked eye!

The light of the patterns circulating on the gate panels quickly dimmed, returning to its previous calm state.

The majestic Guixu aura also receded like a tide, shrinking back into the gate.

The Void Realm returned to deathly silence once again, leaving only the severely damaged ”star chaser” flying ship, and Iron Battle and the others on board, who were dumbfounded and emotionally stirred.

”He... he actually went in...” a crew member muttered to himself, as if witnessing a myth.

Iron Battle looked at the bronze giant gate that had closed again, as if nothing had ever happened, and sighed heavily, his eyes filled with complex emotions.

There was awe, relief, and a trace of worry.

He knew that from this moment on, what Ye Chen had stepped into was a realm completely beyond the scope of his cognition.

Behind the gate, is it the ultimate Nirvana, or... the Origin of Chaos?

...

The moment he passed through the crack, Ye Chen felt as if he had pierced through a cold, viscous membrane composed of countless terminal intents.

His eyes brightened, or rather, his perception changed!

He appeared in a ”space” that could not be measured by common sense.

There was no up, down, left, or right here, no real sense of time passing.

Beneath his feet was not solid ground, but a slowly rotating ”ocean” composed of ”marks” left behind after the Nirvana of countless worlds and the purest Guixu energy.

The color of the ocean was immensely deep, almost absolute black, yet occasionally it would shimmer with dim spots of light like the final embers of stars.

Looking up, there was no dome, only countless grey ”currents” or ”ribbons” that seemed to be manifestations of Laws, hanging down from endless unknown places and merging into the Guixu energy ocean below.

Each ”current” radiated a unique Dao rhyme of ”ending”; some represented the disintegration of matter, some represented the end of time, some represented the severance of Karma...

And in the center of the ”ocean,” beneath the thickest, most core grey current, one could vaguely see a bottomless ”vortex.”

The vortex rotated slowly, emitting a devouring force that made even Ye Chen’s Nirvana Sword Intent feel a shudder, as if it were connected to the true, absolute ”nothingness.”

That, perhaps, was the core main body of the Gui Xu Sea Eye!

This was the interior of the Gui Xu Sea Eye!

It was the gathering place for the end of all worlds!

Ye Chen could feel that the purity of the Guixu energy permeating this place far exceeded the outside world; for those who Cultivate Nirvana or terminal-type Cultivation Techniques or contemplate related rules, it was a supreme treasure land.

But at the same time, that ubiquitous devouring force, which sought to pull all existence into the central vortex and return it to ultimate nothingness, was also terrifying to the extreme.

He had to maintain his Nirvana Sword Intent at all times, simulating a ”terminal” state originating from the same source as this place, to barely offset most of the devouring force.

Even so, he could feel his own power and vitality slowly and steadily flowing away, being assimilated and absorbed by this space.

He could not stay long!

His gaze instantly locked onto several ”abnormal” points in this strange space.

First was the edge of the central vortex, where several items seemed to be floating, emitting a weak yet tenacious ”existence” aura that was incompatible with the surrounding Guixu energy.

These might be relics left by peerless experts from eras earlier than his who had broken into this place; being able to remain in the core of Guixu to this day, they were definitely not ordinary.

Secondly, near a grey current representing ”Soul Nirvana,” a strange crystal the size of a fist was suspended.

It was pitch black, with countless fine holes on its surface, as if it could swallow all light.

The Soul Nirvana intent emitted by the crystal made Ye Chen’s Divine Soul feel a stinging pain.

Finally, and also the direction where the chaos ancestral talisman’s fluctuation guidance was strongest—deep in that Guixu energy ”ocean,” at a position near the edge, a faint point of Chaos light, almost merged with the Guixu energy, was flickering tenaciously!

The aura of that light was from the same source as the chaos ancestral talisman, yet more ancient and vicissitudinous, as if it had experienced the scouring of Guixu for countless eras and still had not been completely obliterated!

It was another ancestral rune fragment!

And, very likely, an extremely important one!

The goal was clear, but every step was full of unknown dangers.

This space seemed calm, but no one knew when those hanging rule currents, or that central vortex, would erupt.

Ye Chen took a deep breath, his Nirvana Sword Intent circling his body, and cautiously stepped on the ”sea surface” composed of Nirvana marks, taking the first step toward the direction of the point of Chaos light in his sensing.

The real adventure was only just beginning.
